Praying for you guys all the way from the mainland in Michigan. I've been following this storm and I am very concerned of what it can do. Stay safe over in Hawaii guys!
Having gone through Both Iwa ( on my birthday) & Iniki (9 11), this is what we did. Cleaned out the bathtubs & fill it with water for flushing toilets. Fill coolers, buckets bottles, any clean container with water. I defrosted all the big meats, turkey, roasts and had a cook-a-thon. Wrapped good with foil. One less thing to think about. Yeah we did a lot of puleho but that was a good call. Use the oven while you can. Oue water and electricity went our for a long time. Get your meds called in to your pharm. The bathtub water came in real handy to flush with one bucket. Don't panic. make a list and DO IT. Check um off For the long run you going need your Bible,. Batteries Beer and Beef Jerky.Dis Kaua'i wahine got you in my prayers. Kepalo, get lost. Holy Spirit come. Malama
I lived in Hawaii for 3 years w the Coast Guard - and went thru IRMA last year while living on a yacht - this is NO joke - prepare now people - food, batteries, gas and solar lights from Walmart R cheap !! 15-25ft surf on the south shore - 2 ft of rain - heavy wind - expect widespread power outages - u can’t pump gas w/o power - get ready now do not wait !!!!!!!!
Life jackets for all and much bottled water as you can carry/transport.Head now to the highest ground possible,NOW!! God be with you all.You're in our prayers.
Nathan Hansen you realize Hawaii isn’t prepared for this like us Floridians are..... There’s only been 3 hurricane hits on Hawaii this century, added on to the fact Hawaii’s surface is a lot indifferent then Florida, being that it’s an island, a pretty large one, but nothing like the size of Florida. They are going to get nailed, and unless it weakens it’s going to make a lot of damage and possibly deaths.
Don’t worry you can put all your faith and trust in man. Your Government has been very good to this country, they are always there for your needs. As you have seen they helped Texas, they help Florida, and they did great and awesome for Puerto Rico. They will never let you down, they are always there to show their love and care

They are not reporting the whole truth... Ever wonder why info on Hilina slump has stopped???... This could be the big one... Stay safe.... Good luck...
We’ve had plenty serious hurricane threats and all but 2 have changed lanes, weakened and diverted as they got closer. We still need to take every threat seriously and be prepared.

It sounded like a monster outside for hours things banging and hitting my house. I would get a life jacket in case of flooding. No joke it's not going to be good. I thank God I live on a hill so I didn't have flooding. Get ready.
