Hawaii’s shield volcano is one of Earth’s better relief pressure valves, as well as its largest relief valve. And if there’s one thing Hawaii needs is more landmass. So let the volcano do it’s thing without stressing or undue consternation. It’s all good, especially if no one is fool enough to build their homes directly on top of it
