A BLUETTI BEAST - AC200MAX & B300 review & a little bit of turning ..
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 жов 2024
- I finally had an offer to review a product that I was genuinely interested in, the #Bluetti AC200Max is a beast on its own, but coupled with the B300 expandable battery it gives a capacity of over 5000 watt hours of power. I was kindly sent the units by Bluetti to review and managed to sneak a bit of woodturning in there as well.
If backup or portable power is something you may be interested in, Bluetti have a unit or system to suit any scenario.

I've owned a Bluetti Power station for a couple of years now and it's worked great, so when I was approached by #Bluetti to see if I would be interested in checking out a couple of there products, I thought I would be stupid to pass up the offer, as it's something I am genuinely interested in..
So here's my attempt at a product review. I also managed to sneak a bit of woodturning in there ( full video to come )
I hope some of you may find something of interest in the video, if so check out the links below or in the video description.. Thanks for checking it out

The grinder did not draw any more power because once it was up to speed the momentum of the wheels needed next to no energy to maintain.
You didn't put any load on those devices except the lathe.
As soon as they need to do any work the power consumption will increase and depending on the machine could go over the batteries limits.
What an impressive unit! The turning was awesome too Andy! 😉😊
Thanks for the review Andy. It was fun to see the rest of your workshop as well. Keep the great videos coming.
Fantastic device indeed, Andy! Great review! 😃
And amazing work at the lathe!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
how nice to hear your voice Andy and we very nearly got to see your face! I love your wood turning but I must confess the review was totally over my head!
And of course the "bit of turning" was beautiful. It always amazes me how "flaws" become beauty.
Thanks 👍 full video of the turning to come
Really good video Andy. Nicely put together and a great review of the bluetti.
Cheers Andy...you riding today ?? We're covered in the white stuff over here
@@AndyPhillipWoodturning same here in Harrogate mate. Weekend off me thinks
I’ll be honest at first I thought, well this isn’t my thing, but your review was informative, concise and best of all no dithering! I actually enjoyed it and have shared with my engineer husband as it is definitely his ‘thing’.
Lovely piece turned as usual as a bonus. 👏🏻👏🏻
Interesting review!!!
Thanks Andy!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just ordered my AC200MAX/B300 combo. It will run my mobile DJ system all night long!😁😁
Awesome 👌
Well done and informative, Andy! Great looking vase, too! Looking forward to the full video.
PS: You talk funny! LOL! 😊
Phil
Lol ... I know I do 🤣 ... 👍
Thanks for the video Andy!
It looks like a great power bank, especially for people with smaller workshops, and might not have power connected, great alternative, oh and the vase looks cool too.
Blimey that sander drew some power. That is a serious bit of kit which hopefully will pay for itself in the next couple of years. Not sure about using it as a coffee table though but hay-ho, each to their own. 👍
Oh this is really cool. I'm glad you were able to get this for free. My Mama always said the best things in life are always free.😅
Thanks for the great video Andy. Here in South Africa where daily Loadshedding (Power Outages) is a norm, this beast will really come in handy, not just the workshop but also running like fridges and freezers and other smaller electricity needs. Thanks again for this great video.
Glad it was some use 👍
Something a bit different and interesting ... the turning was a bonus 👍
If you really think about it, every source of energy on earth comes from the sun.
Thanks to this video, we can finally put a voice to your work. Not a face yet but we reckon you shine.
👍
Thanks for showing. We have a garden without power, so I'm looking for something like that atm to feed the pool pump, the tools, the lamps, the heater for the rabbits shed, etc. :)
Thanks for sharing this. I may see about getting one to replace the generator I use when off grid in my campervan. The Yew vase turned out great too👍
Thanks Colin.. 👍
Nice! Thanks for the video. Definitely gonna check it out.
Impressive products!
And a gorgeous piece of wood you managed to sneak in towards the end :)
Okay, that was wicked cool! (And the vase is lovely, too!)
Excellent review Andy, surprising how little power the lathe drew. Great piece of kit! 👍
I love these units. I won the EB70 off of a UA-cam giveaway, and I built 2 of my own for fun. Really handy to have for many purposes.
Thanks Andy, that’s how to do a review! You showed a variety of different tools and then the functionality of the power station in action. The Yew would’ve been the best test for showing the product off well done mate.
Thanks Kev
Nice to do a bit of a different video. Much of it went over my head, Im afraid but I found it interesting.(and we heard your voice!) The turning and finished product were up to your normal, excellent standards! 👍 Very good!
Thanks
That is a gorgeous piece of yew, and a lovely hollow form vase you turned from it.
Also, hi! Nice voice reveal!
We have been considering something like these power stations for awhile. We live in a rural area, and we lose power for weather related reasons a few times a year. Usually it's only for a few hours, but it's still inconvenient. This seems to me to be a much better alternative to traditional gas/petrol powered backup generators, but it is very hard to tell how effective they are. This was most certainly the best test I have ever seen in putting one of these systems through its paces. If we decide on a Bluetti, we will be sure to use the link so that you get whatever credit is due.
Thank you for the review and recommendation!
I respect everyone who were involved in this Seriously the best piece that i ve ever seen on UA-cam 💌 Hate off to well all 💟 love your videos
Nice turning!
Thanks 👍
Always fun to get a new gizmo!
Мои поздравления Энди, отличное приобретение 👍👍👍
Personally I really don't care about all that electronic stuff but I love the vase you turned very nice as always 👍👍👍
😂thanks Sandie.. I've got a full video of the turning coming soon
Nice one Andy, looks like it's quite the product! really nice vase as well!
I have to say, you don't sound as squeaky-voiced as I'd heard on Instagram, so I expect you've done something to make your voice deeper...😆
😂
Different kind of video, liked it and we get to hear you…had you pinned as an older woodturning sage…not so! Would probably never buy anything like it but a very thorough review. Fab piece of turning always 😁
many congratulations brother
For that amazing team
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
This is the first time I’ve ever heard your voice 😮
Didn’t expect you to sound like this Andy.
Beautiful vase. Love it. 💕
Thank you! There's a full version of the turning coming soon
This is a cool piece of technology! 😮
When you started testing each piece of equipment, I kept saying "Do the lathe! Do the lathe!" ...after which my mom walked into the room and says, "Is that a new dance?" 🤔 😂 oh, the Bluetti thing is hella cool too. I could definitely use the solar charging option whilst farting around Scotland in my RV. ⚡️🌞⚡️🌞
Very nice
Well presented Andy , did you turn the bowl using the unit on its own without the battery pack
Thanks..I turned it with the units connected together but it would have turned fine with just the ac200max 👍
So I was strolling around Instagram and I came across this post from you for Bluetti. It said you actually spoke and I was like no way. LoL
Anyways, Bluetti actually seems like a really great device. I’m not sure what electricity is like in the UK but I’m sure you will save a ton of money using it in the shop
Energy prices in the UK are crazy .. we get totally ripped off with most things over here
I’m sorry to hear that. Here in Massachusetts I’m paying a hundred dollars more per month than last year
All this time watching your videos and I never realized you were French-opposite
So cool stuff!
Thank you for the review. I didn`t know anything about this kind of device.
So when the Zombie Apocalypse takes out the electricity, you will still be turning!
So…..does the B300 charge the AC200Max when you’re drawing power or does the AC just pass the power from the B300 to your devices?
When they are connected they work as one and the ac200 as a capacity of over 5000wh
Nice little tutorial on these machines..I’d say these generators would be quite handy in many a different scenarios.enjoyed.good job.👍👍👍😎😎😎🪵🪵🪵
Thanks Tom 👍
DO YOU NEE TO TURN THE B300 BACKWARDS TO GET THE HOOK UP TO BE ON THE SAME SIDE IN ORDER TO STACK THEM ?
Yes .. I did find that slightly weird but when it's connected you don't really do anything with the b300 ... as far as I'm aware the b200 sits the correct way when stacked with the ac200 max and the b300 sits the correct way when stacked with the ac300
4k ain't bad for a back-up power system.
nice safety na safety
Great review, very well done. I like how you showed the features and performance of the unit.
Oh, the piece was nice too! 😃
Thank you very much!
Woohoo Andy you do speak great plug in for every thing,, course about that gouge you were using and were can i get 1 .Ernie smith from brisbane Australia
The gouge is a Crown Cryo M42 Razor Edge Bowl Gouge - 12.7mm(1/2")
Thanks Andy I appreciate that..👍👍👍
I am a fan of Solar Power. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
They’ve discontinued the B300
Still available in the UK
Very nice! I may have clicked on the dislike thumb by mistake Andy. It wont let me like it! I like it 🤪😂
I call mine the Bluettimaximus - .....lol the usa version..
LOL .. There an awesome bit of kit
Электричество подаражало .

These battery systems are improving, the trendy term of "solar generator" is a misnomer. Calling them a multi-sourced charged battery is more accurate, You say you had one for a couple of years. 24 months is the standard warranty on most of theses types of units, some offer purchase of extended warranties, which one should purchase as no one on the planet offers a repair service for them. They will fail, whether before or after the warranty, they will fail. At that point you have a partial cost replacement option or, if out of warranty, a very heavy boat anchor. If Bluetti offers a repair service, buy one, they would be the sole company to do so. Ask me how I know about the industry wide 24 month warranty, wait, nope, better not, the answer is not conducive to product sales. They are very expensive for a throw-a-way appliance. Do your own research....
I can only go off my own experience and so far I have had no problem with the eb70 .. I also have leisure batterys and solar in my van , that set up probably cost more than the bluetti and everything in there has a life span .. does anything last last forever ?? I'm really not sure what your point is .. if you are interested in buying a product and happy with the warranty you buy it, if your not you don't...
Holy shit, you're a Brit haha, here's me thinking people only turned wood in the US
Actually, a lot of the best woodturners are British.
@@thefish5861 but the ones that shout the loudest are American
Да, эл.станция конечно вещь, но за какое время она окупится? Удачи ❕☝️👍🍻
