It is astounding that a three-man band could produce such a spectacular masterpiece. Definitely their best work among many other great songs throughout the 70s.
This band did great stadium rock and then turned around and produced some great radio rock. Never even been nominated fro the Rock Hall of Fame. Critics hated them, but the fans loved them. I've told everyone that I would never go to the Rock and roll Hall of Fame until those idiots put these guys in!!!
Mark lives just down the road from me. He is just a genuinely kind down to earth family man. As awsome a man as he is talented. He just booked a show at our local casino, it sold out in under thirty minutes! I came in from working in the garage and the wife said Mark's doing a show at the casino. Made a beeline for my phone to call for tickets. She says I heard the ad before she could come and tell me it was sold out. Thought about stopping in to see him and schmoozing some tickets. This particular recording is not from a concert but a show given for radio executives and A & R people. There were only about 3 dozen people in attendance which is why you don't see the audience.
