Hey I'm hoping that you can help with this. You have had both the dayton audio ultimax and the reference series. From your perspective what is the differences between the two? Which you prefer and why?
for the flickering of the go pro you can go to the parameters - region and there you can change between 50 and 60hz depending on where you live
I have tried that, it flickers regardless unfortunately !

Rear shelf subwoofer works better, more bass inside the car, less space occupied in the boot, did that to my e60 perfectly happy, try pioneer slim subs, love u r videos, love the diy and sound speakers.keep up the good work...cheers

sounds a lot better in a sealed box imo. ive built 2 ported boxes for it 1.55cuft@23hz and 1.8@25hz with roughly 10-12sqin of port area per cuft.
Car or home? 33hz is the sweet spot for most cars. You still get good extension because of the cabin gain, but you get a little bit more spl.
@@theejoeylee Ive used them in both home and car. really couldnt care less about spl though im more into sq
@@happybeing777 I don't mean it will literally make the dayton an spl sub, it will just have a bit more output, by a couple DB. Unless you have 2 pairs of 8" mid bass, you don't want it tuned real low.

Awesome video. I've built several subs. Most are musical and produce tight bass. Thinking of using the Ultimax in my truck. I have a 1.25 cuft. box vented. How do u like the sub overall?

That was a lot of talking for not even mentioning the box size or tuning frequency. If you build a proper box for it, it'll hit frequencies in the teens before cabin gain. Not even kidding.

Ok so I am a complete noob when it comes to building sound systems and hooking them up. If I were to buy this woofer and build an enclosure like yours what else would I need to hook it up in my car what amp would I need do I need any resistors or stuff like that as said I have no clue about speakers but do like to hear some good loud bass

Remove the factory subwoofer from the parcel tray it should allow more bass to enter the cabin.
