    There's a third type of user - cinematographers who want higher overall output and want to save on weight and have affordable room tone riser lights. I've picked up a used pelican case and I'm able to fit two FS300 and a lens and there's still room for cables and gels. I got two FS300B + nanlite fresnel lens for less than it would have cost to get a, say, Aputure 600 series because combined and evenly spread output was my priority. I would gladly have four 300w lights paced away from one another than one 1200w light spotted to a point. I rarely shoot without modifiers and I don't know many cinematographers who do. The lights are powerful enough to be far enough away especially with fresnel lens for me most of the time, and provide raised room levels, while my other lights do the fine shaping and contour additions on the subject. I am comfortable to not just shoot these lights into the window and bounce them off. Lastly, powering a 300 watt LED with V mounts doesn't come as practical as some might think, as one would need at least a pair of 48v V mounts to power such a light for 45 minutes at full brightness that will easily run the cost of a pair of these lights + a lens for just two v mounts. Say you have four V mounts you'll have to have somewhere to charge them while the others deplete and you often find your extension cords to be more useful in certain situations. For most exterior day time work a B board and 100W light with fresnel attachment should do the job provided you're not too far away if you're looking to have battery powered and not so power hungry solution.

    Bought the Forza 60b with a bunch of accessories not too long ago and absolutely love it! The Bowens Mount Adapter is a great extra accessory that opens up many possibilities. Plus the carrying case is well built and very helpful. Keep being awesome! 👍🎥

    creator in Tokyo, and ever since Nanlite starting popping up around here...I would say they are the best light for both people starting out and people who do it for a living. There are alot of cheaper options but when looking at the long term Nanlites FS seires feel as if they will last much longer the construction the build the light quality, and also their lineup makes sense...cough cough godox ...
    I currently use the FS-150 perfect for indoor top body shot with softbox...and I realized they now have a Bicolor option for the FS series...the FS-60B I bought and love for backlights the FS300B looks appealing....drools

    I really like my FS-300. It's a great value. Two ideas: 1.) For future products please consider lower-decibel fans. 2.) I would buy an FS-500 if the price was right.

    • @NanliteUSA

      Hi, the Forza 300 fan can turned off. The FS-series fan can not. You will get a drop in light output in the Forza light with the fan turned off.

    How much it's the power difference between the 300s? It's clear about each one chips, but my question is: do I have the same brightness kindly? (sorry about my English)

    • @NanliteUSA
      @NanliteUSA  3 роки тому +1

      HI, the Forza 300 is just slightly brighter than the FS-series.

    • @zwolleinfo8032
      @zwolleinfo8032 3 роки тому +2

      FS 300 with Standard Reflector is 41040 lux and de Forza 300 is 68060 lux at 1 meter. That's more than "slightly brighter". Based on the design of the FS 300 (several smaller LEDs), there is no real round light circle, but a bit angular, when using the fresnel (in spot). You only see that on a white wall or flat surface. In general practice it is not a problem. I own both lamps. They are very good.

      i've seen other people's measurements and they were around 40000 too

    Hi, Just wondering, will accessories for the Forza series work with the FS series? For example, I would like to use a Forza 300/500 fresnel lens on a FS 300. Thanks

    Has anyone tried using Fresnel attachment with FS series?

    • @NanliteUSA
      @NanliteUSA  2 роки тому +1

      Nanlite dosen't recommend using the Fresnel adaptor on the FS-Series of lights. This is due to the LED chip design not being optimized for the Fresnel lens.

    they are not made from carbon fibre. It would cost much more. its just a CF look. more than 90% of Forza users don't use them with v lock. 26V V locks are pricey af. not worth it.
