I watch many of the sawmill channels, but you are the most efficient sawyer by far. Your "unfair advantages" are good logs, the debarker, the edger saws, the top saw, and the bottom log turner on the carriage.
@@Helmsburgsawmill And I neglected to mention your other unfair advantages -- your intelligence, experience, hands-on ability, and desire to do everything right.
And good ole boys they are!! Thank you for swinging by!! I have a lot of videos platforms differently, with different information, for you to check out
Now that's what I call 'wood'working at its finest! 😂 That ash looks so good, I’m almost jealous. If I had skills like that, I’d be turning my backyard into a lumberyard. Keep the saw-milling coming, this is pure timber gold!
This impressively efficient operation is due to your facile mind, quick reflexes, and your grandpa's wisdom in choosing that particular blade combo. How long did it take for you to become so adept at the controls? Do you find yourself mentally fatigued at the end of the day because of the concentration required? It would be interesting to see a video of what's going on at the other end with the boards and cutoff pieces. Are you cutting to fill orders or to replenish standard stock? Do you buy logs or have a logging crew as well? Thanks for the video.
Have experience on over a dozen pieces of equipment and have been operating since I could reach petals😬 The saw is hands down the hardest thing to run. It took me several years to get used to the controls, after I’d already had experience with operating hydraulics. I find myself very mentally fatigued at the end of a day. I tell everybody it’s thousands of decisions a day, and I have to be productive😂 And yes I’m cutting to fill orders, in many different forms. We have a lot of grade logs to get sawed and moved, so we have a withstanding order for this grade lumber:) Merry Christmas
New to the channel came over from C&C equipment to check you out have you ever had Logger Wade on your video great to see the small guy operation great content very soothing watching lumber being cut
Thank you for checking it out!! Always feel free to leave comments. I voice over in come to give the finer details of what’s occurring while sawing. Some are long form ASMR videos. Some logging. And then a large spread of other items! This is a lot of what’s in the channel
Maximum width!! I eyeball the shape of the log. I’m thinking about the board width before I make the next pass!! And I try to have the edgers moving in the direction as soon I’m drawing the carriage back

This is what my grandpa had installed! Quite frankly I couldn’t imagine handling the timber in my area with anything less equipped!
And I greatly appreciate your compliment!:)

Great video. Logs at 20 and 27 minutes WOW!!
Yes they were they beauties❤️❤️
i like the fact that you dont have to waste a second step with an edger , thats genius
It also cuts down on the crew!

I appreciate your comment sir! These ones make me very happy to read
Good looking outcome from those logs.
They were some beauties!
Awesome logs, great sawing 👍 My grandfather used to call ash poor man's oak
It’s one of my favorite woods!
Great looking logs and lumber make for easy sawing decisions!
That’s right!! Ash typically saws out well too!! In some of the other rougher looking logs. Some of the grade improved as I went in
Clint says hi!
Video yang bagus... selalu berhati-hati dalam bekerja kawan
Absolutely
Mesmerising watching this! Wish I could get timber like that here. All our best stuff is exported or export prices
I’m on the constant quest to make a technical flawless sawing video!!
35 loads of big timber is set to come in one it Frye up a little😳
Wish there was good ash here in Pennsylvania.. ash bore killed them all! Definitely some beautiful logs!
It will be back some day!

It would be sweet if one day the channel could pay for a 360 camera in line with the vertical blades.
Placed where? I'm trying to envision your goal, but am at a loss.
Cool tour on C&C’s Patreon tonight
It was!! I’m glad that you’re checking the channel out! I love the video C&C did
What's your strategy for setting the edging saws? Maximum rectangle width, maximum length, or maximum area?
Maximum width!! I eyeball the shape of the log. I’m thinking about the board width before I make the next pass!! And I try to have the edgers moving in the direction as soon I’m drawing the carriage back
Very good sawing. I like the efficiency of built in edgers. But what's the deepest you can cut with the edgers set up this way.
Do you sell retail from there?
Yes we sell to the public!!
I don't see the old loader in the yard.
You know where it went;)
I noticed that 75% to 80% of the boards have a little edge wayne. Doesn't your customers complain about that.
No. I’m going for maximum yield. All of these boards will be getting planed down and finished out!! They want wane if it means wider boards
They don't make popsicle sticks from ash because people don't like the taste of it.
My boss would have run me off for marking the lumber like that, you can hear it chopping
Sounds like you have one more teeth out of alignment. I can hear it when you’re sawing.
saw sounds like shit dam im a head sawyer you need to line your holders up
