Hey man just wanted to give some constructive criticism.. Video is a great tutorial on setting up the new Prime Hd light, but your title is pretty misleading.. "Is the new AI PrimeHD really better?" would imply that you would be giving us your opinion on whether or not you think it is better and why. Didn't really do that anywhere in the video.. In fact, you didn't give us your opinion at all on it. As a newer reefer, I am always looking for opinions on products so that I can make a better informed decision on products to buy. Like I said, the video does a great job on explaining the basic setup of the light, but you might want to think about renaming the video to more accurately reflect the video's content.
@@coralreefcay1577 What if i raise it a bit higher above the water level so spread can increase? According to my research, if it is 11-12 inches above the tank the par on the sand will be around 70 to 150. Wouldn't that be more than enough for softies and lps (mainly softies)?? I can't afford a bigger one or 2 of them so it is either this or the stock t5 bulbs that came with the tank's hood (which i dont want) .
I don’t like this new version it doesn’t use WiFi anymore it uses ie Bluetooth or whatever tf it’s called. I feel cheated by ai 😭. You’d think it’d be cheaper
@@Sal-vx5dg If you look at your App device settings, you can see there is WLAN for the AI Prime HD 16. I think they use a broadcom chip that had security issues (happened to other manufacturers who uses this chip) and they had to fix the exploit. But I never have any wifi aquarium device connected to my home network. I rather connect to it directly with my phone when needed. That constant 100% connection to your network could be dangerous. Realize that aquarium companies are not high volume/customer base as like apple macbooks, or the iphone, so exploiting them can be easier due to the lack of feedback/resources for development IMO.
