- Check out the new Warhammer 40K: Boltgun gameplay trailer, giving us a good look at what to expect from the upcoming gory, rapid-fire FPS. Summoned by the Inquisition, prepare to take control of a mighty Sternguard Veteran and venture to Scour Graia, a Forge World overrun by Cultists, Traitors, and Daemons.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun will be released on May 23, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Well, Graia stands - they have an Explorator Fleet in Battlefleet Gothic 2. I think the planet is simply in a spot thats both great for a Forgeworld to be as well as exposing it to contant invasions. Sources conflict if its Ultima or Tempestus Segmentum, so it's propably on the border and this is roughly where the Great Rift cuts through the galaxy now so it's rough.
Maybe somebody can untangle the abused mess of the timeline of the Space Marine game...

Love this trailer so much. This game feels like something a developer in the imperium would put out as “high class propaganda”. It’s like 40k brutal DOOM.
Keep it simple for the small of mind but make it clear that we PURGE THE HERETICS.

Well 40k that is... Already got Warhammer 3 for the fantasy universe but that was last year.
Not to mention hopefully Darktide will be worth playing by the end of the year, and we might still get rouge trader as well.
My hope still lives for darktide. Vt2 was a hot mess before maybe they can work their magic again.

That eater egg in the end was brilliant!
Theres three different references to Space Marine. First that its on Graia, then you see the warp battery that you spent a chunk of that game carrying around and that Titus was inexplicably immune to. Finally the name drop at the end :D I'm excited for this game!
Hearing all that, I'm sure this is the interim sequel to Space Marine.

Absolutely fantastic trailer, although that voice is 100% not something I'd expect of 40K. But love the campy feel of it!! Lets go 40K getting even more popular!!!!

The VA is actually someone other than this voice over, you can hear an actual line from in game at the end that mentions Titus from Space Marine!

Ive came to the conclusion that Doom Guy must be the Emperor, hes fought chaos/demons, has been around for millennia and is almost unstoppable

idk if its actually prerendered but if it isnt, they did a phenomenal getting that look accross with real 3d models
it looks like they embraced the the doom era techniques for the enemies, as they seem to be scanned in sculptures/ minis!
@@zoelio999 More Build engine than Doom, so it's gonna play way more like Duke 3D or Ion Fury. But I'm here for it.
It kinda looks like they did what Prodeus did, where it is actually just 3D models but with doom like animations and turning, and of course the pixelation effects.
