It's been years since I've been looking for a true heir to BF1942. And yes, finally, we have someone who has successfully modernized BF1942 while keeping the original vibe intact. It's simple, fun, straightforward, with no ads in the menu trying to sell you crappy skins. No weapons, equipment, or perks to unlock (whether by paying or just by playing), it's just... perfect to me! If you also miss the good old Battlefield 1942, you really should try Easy Red 2!

Also, fun part is that they're still working on adding even more content like free campaign at Africa campaign (plus Pacific campaign too, IIRC?) and new DLC on Sino-Japanese War which it is interesting change.
Is also worth mentioning that when the Sino-Japanese war dlc releases it will be probably the first FPS game that is not a mod where that war has been represented
Graphics aren't everything and Easy Red2 doesn't look that bad. It runs very smoothly and is great fun. Squad44 is slow and laggy and not fun. Easy Red 2 is awesome
The game is very good only thing I wish are more different mission objektives like steal item..., destroy air defence...that would be cool like in the old medal of honor games...
I bought this week, arma reforger. Man what a breath of fresh air from the constant spam of toxic gameplay and purchaseable stuff. You go in, play the game at your own pace, every gun kills, people that plays there actually enjoy the game and are willing to help. The game is still under refining but Im so glad I spent money on that game instead of anything related to those "modern" games
I think one of the biggest saving graces of this game is being able to play against bots offline. That's something many triple A titles have just abandoned. (Though COD has picked it up again) Im sick of many games being online only, even the singleplayer ones. Yeah bots will never be as good as a real human but sometimes you just want to chill or be able to play a game when online servers shutdown. I think the only thing missing in this game for me personally but does not detract from it at all cause I still love it is I wish there was like an option for a gamemode for some sort of progression system. Like I love unlocking weapons and stuff for some reason rather then just getting them. xD One of my favorite parts about stuff like battlefield or cod. But I know that's super niche.
This game is like the epitome of “she has a nice personality” the gameplay is great, the graphics, audio and animations aren’t. I still love this game but I think that after the AÍ rework that’s coming soon they should try and fix the ui and animations at the very least

It is not dead, there are still 5-10k players online at any given time. Sure it's not the peak it was but you'll never have a hard time finding a game. It's more active than Hell Let Loose.

Best part about this game that NOBODY talks about is the historical accuracy.
Yeah like for example you get 2nd rangers and accurate airborne troops. HLL doesn’t even do that

I like the loot system. like if I run out of ammo with my current weapon, I can pick up an enemy weapon and their ammo and keep going.

Reminds me of Kingdom Come WW2 it was good. The enemies not being individually marked is refreshing.

During the first mission on this game I was playing as axis and when I was machine gunning I got blown up by a shell from a ship canon and I survived

This a fun game, feels like an old classic game a lot of the times. I have rural internet, so when I can’t play HLL I play this.

It's out on switch with downgraded graphics and cross-play. Developer is now working on the Xbox One port, should be out soon-ish.

The xbox version sucks. Only ever 2 enemy squads spawn in at a time. Janky as hell.
