Joseph thank you for talking about hyperinflation in France. With so much focused attention on a crash down, the likely scenario actually seems to be a crash up. With all of the debt monetization the writing is on the wall. The Fed needs to inflate the debt away. Private debt default is deflationary. Public debt default is inflationary. We are in the early stages of this liquidity cycle and inflation isn't going anywhere.

Hi Joseph, you should check out the surge in people going on disability starting in 2021, not 2020, so you be the judge of what is causing permanent disabilities in working age people. This will continue as turbo cancers are surging, perfectly healthy people just dying suddenly right and left. There really is no mystery here.

If governments were to “get their house in order” would this stop the crash up, and cause a downward crash? If so..ironic

55+ we're looking at the rollout of the jabba jabba. Ask yourself.....
Take something experimental or just bailout of the labor force. Many chose the later........
The other cohort, stayed and if you look at the numbers that ended up injured and disabled.....
Of course the new peps didn't have to get a ouchie ouchie jabba jabba. Replacement in full swing !
We are living in some interesting times!

Great history lesson! I'll bet the people who traded in their currency for gold did better than the rest.

on your workforce comments, it was interesting to me recently when you heard about this bridge collapse did you notice the names and the origins of many of the workers that were killed? That may speak to your point.

    I love your videos.
I am sure I was early (obviously since moving against me) but bought a yen future and took delivery last year. I plan to keep the currency for a long time. It felt like things had gone too far 2 years ago to me.
They are for sure in a tough position

    Great facts and information.
May I suggest a background of some kind.
Even charts or tables in the background would help me follow along better ( not just up for 2 seconds).
    Wishing you the best

I wonder when the Bond market starts to get nervous about inflation again. For now Bond investors seem pretty calm and technical set up actually looks poised to break out to the upside (lower yields), even on the 10, 20, and 30 year yields.

@Joseph. By extension one might say here in the US the speculator would purchase hard assets. I am thinking Bill Gates with farmland. In our meager world for just us, it would be home ownership not home renting, or stocks such as SP500 or Dow30. AKA SPY and DIA. Would you care to agree?

Agree & tweeted in the context of my model exactly what you said here (inflation hurting the little guy/Fed inflation acceptance(3%ish is my #).
So my question, are you less bullish here than you state explicitly? If we do not get rid of conflicted mission statements & broken agency hierarchies, how do equities stay up? Just inflated up? We disagree on the psychology here. As the blind man said. we shall see.

Hey Joesph, could you explain the difference between the French and USA currency debasement?
In France, you stated that monetary debasement lead to goods inflation without wage inflation.
However, in the USA, monetary debasement from 2008 only lead to asset inflation and not goods inflation. Goods inflation came in 2020 from fiscal expansion along with wage inflation.
What was the differentiating factor? Was it the depth of the financial market that absorbed the excess liquidity that did not exist during the French Revolution?

I trust the government will continue to grow and crowd out private economic activity - the anchor weighing down long term growth and inflation capability will continue to grow unimpeded. We are Japan ten years ago. What is their current sovereign yields?
