Honestly speaking, I don't get impressed when some poor country hits the headlines as being the fastest growing economy and such. This is because, most of this so called growth is just paper growth with little to no real improvement in an average person's average income and standard of living. Thanks to rapidly growing population, per capita income shows negligible growth. Despite reporting high gdp growth, several of these poor countries don't have any improvement in basic amenities and infrastructure, don't have any major reforms Implemented, can't stop brain drain, sees worsening social order, sees increasing corruption, sees increasing income inequality, poor social security and don't have any plans for sustaining the high growth. Average incomes of the people may increase, but the costs increase faster resulting in negligible improvement in purchasing power or savings. Increase in unexpected costs and weakening currency add further fuel to the fire. There is no improvement in the quality and variety of products and services, education, healthcare and human capital development either. A lot of these countries are destined to get stuck in the middle income trap and face resource shortages and climate change effects as well. Some of them are doomed to face some economic crisis as well. Hence, before getting overhyped about a poor country being the world's fastest growing economy, dig deeper and find out whether these underlying issues are getting solved or not. Mere GDP growth does not make a country developed. It involves solving the underlying problems mentioned above as well. These overly long term economic forcasts by corporates and economic think tanks are ridiculous as well. For an example, people who lived in the US in the 50s or the UAE in the 80s and 90s know what real growth and development is. This real development is not experienced by people who live in these so called fast growing economies.
the Most important thing is to keep Congress away from power. Otherwise, they will let us become a service sector economy, and we won't even get to apply those beautiful ideas in our society. We already wasted lots of our time because of congress.
I wonder where u guys are when congress in power??????? U never questioned when congress in power but bjp which out performs all aspects of india growth compared to congress, U make bjp accountable........
this video shows just how much better is the current govt. that all our previous standards of growth must be redefined and the benchmarks should be the greatest the world has to offer and not the same 1 to 2 % better than last govt.
I started watching Thinkschool back in 2021 in India and now I am studying masters in Germany actually this was the best Video on German economic case study. I am proud to consume this from an Indian UA-camr. All the details are true .
he forgot to mention one thing - once you receive the Kurzarbeit money (like during the pandemic), your taxes shoot up, when you are filing your income tax. The government refills its koffers after that. So it's not all sweet. :)
Here's a counter argument: 1) Germany works under the framework of EU which is a united body of ALL European nations with open borders and work permits, trade agreements & shared currencies & economic responsibilities. In India's case, we have 2 hostile neighbors who have waged wars against us and continue to do so till this day. 2) Germany's sovereignty & security is guaranteed by NATO or in other words UNITED STATES of America essentially so they do not have to spend big on military hardware of personnel. In India's case, who is going to rescue us or help us? NOT a single nation will come to help, they have historically helped Pakistan and the same actors will do so again so we are forced to spend more than 3% of our GDP in defense. 3) Germany does not have a dubious & stupid democracy or by product of reservation quotas. They value meritocracy. In India, we cannot imagine doing so. No party has the balls to abolish reservation and bring out meritocracy. We don't just produce morons, we export our bright ones to these same developed nations while retaining the said morons who seek more reservation and freebies. 4) Our education system was willfully kept outdated because the idea is to keep us as servants and slaves. Not leaders or innovators. So the reservation, caste politics and all that bullshit is allowed in the system by design, not by laziness. If you really are on a mission to educate people and bring change, make a video on what I wrote above. There's a much larger point to make. The points above are in context of Germany, but if you are as bright as I think you are, then you know what I am saying.
Ur only valid point is of reservation and that too can't be abolished until we don't have better infrastructure and a good chunk of investment in this sector which is the most underrated thing in our country. U wrote correctly that their idea is to make us slave and for that things, solutions are discussed in this video. For the rest of ur point, I would say that India needs to better our relations with neighboring countries. Only highlighting the savage reply of our external affair minister won't do much. There is very aptly said quote that u can change ur friends but not neighbors.
Modi govt must realize this too, they seem to bring in Pakistan and compare and feel proud. We didn't go the Pakistan way because of our initial years of laying foundation stones of thousands of institutions. And yet Modi govt blames Nehru for everything. Indian politics is a sham, can't expect anything from them
LOL, most of our population has same thinking and culture as Pakistan. So no point in delusional comparisons. Besides there are at least 5 states in India who have more population than Germany. So not sure how German experience can be replicated here.

I'm a naturalized German citizen now. Came from India 11 years ago to Hamburg. Nice consolidated video about key areas in German society. I would like to add more: Indians as a collective civil society, needs change in mindset like prioritising discipline, integrity, equality and structure-system-rule following. When indians combine their hardworking with disciplined honesty they can go way forward.
considering the election result of 2024, i don't think we indians are ready for a mindset change in the next 10 years. votebank politics is still lingering around caste and the freebies are attracting the rural voters and women. the country may progress the same under nda 3.0 but the best we can achieve is a middle income trap and nothing above that.
@@AdityaRana-hc7ol People mindset are even degrading due to social media algorithms. As they promote content of few influences who support these freebies and cast based division. Demand of reservation is increasing in every part of county as some leaders promoting it by saying 'Jitni abadi utna haq'.
Well idk but every single engineer in India should be scared of this kind of corporate slavery, but instead, they have romanticized it in a way that there priority have become working under someone rather than becoming a leader and support everyone on the frontline, that's something that can only be changed by changing their mindsets from the rats to the lion's.
I am from Germany and agree to most of the points, Quality here is the best, They have education method where you can do Dual Studies, where they pay you and allow to study 3 days in College and work in Company for 3 days. Real time practical study and this is across all sector
Brilliant video. I had the privilege to visit Mittelstand companies as part of my MBA on a study trip. The experience was fabulous. So most students in Germany are not even interested in engineering. They have a program whereby they go to the factory 3-4 days per week and to the university 1-2 days per week for 3-4 years of their undergrad. The syllabus is individually customized FOR EACH STUDENT so they specialise at 1 particular job which is probably the only job of the type in the country. Many Mittelstand employees are also 3rd generation employees as they are big on supporting local community and on continuity.
Not everything that glitters is gold. Such type of over-simulated life and such economic model without disruptive environment may lead to lack of innovation and loss of excitement that uncertainty provides. Add to that, generational employment in same occupation, that's basically caste system bro. It can make them masters in that specific occupation, but it will fail miserably in face of new disruptive technology.
Cannot compare India and Germany. Post war Germany (and other European countries) as per Marshall plan got huge amount of Aid and investments. access to western markets to prevent communism from spreading. India was struggling for atleast next 20 years just to prevent starvation.
The idea behind that is that some book covers are plain or get damaged, this one was exactly what the creator wanted. And it wasn't just the cover but also the title and the intro
We have to educate our people mainly about : 1) Cleanliness - This should be way more prioritised than orhers 2) Integrity 3) Hard work 4) The upper middle class (Who have more than 50 crores property) have to think outside the box. They have to invest/start industries compared to the middle class & poor.
With Modi's image you can easily get more viewers that's why they use in thumbnail I already consider this channel to be different from politics but now after the last election their focus has been changed Please remain on your core content
my friend forgot the whole backbone of the argument. Germany during and after 2nd world war was still an industrial giant, such that even USSR and US literally brought their scientists to their country for their development. This shows how advance they were already, topped with mega industry that made equipment in the war. While on the contrary, India was LOOTED and made to live under FEMINE ON PURPOSE, were uneducated due to 200 years of slavery. This is where GERMANY had the upperhand, so even after the war, the country was mega hub, while here congress looted to fill their own pockets.
@@rahilptl639 yeah congress looted another 70 years but now BJP needs to increase budget in education and research and change our education structure and learn from these countries, which they aren't doing, our education minister has become a joke,we should criticize this govt. on this instead of victimization
Also after the first world war France might have won the war but their industry was damaged while German industry was intact and being loser in the war they had lot of debt and restrictions and had to increase their productivity which brought in even more advance capabilities and innovations
So basically, education is one of the sole reasons holding back India. Great! I'm a student in Pune, and to be honest what Ganesh bhai has mentioned is absolutely spot on. Due to pathetic education curriculum🎉, a super motivated person like me has now become a hopeless piece of cr@p, unwilling to do anything the college asks me to. Guess the college (medical field). 😅
I understand you brother... I myself being an engineer on paper knew this and tried saying this to my teachers and mentors... guess what... I was their arch enemy - sort of a rebel... But I held my peace... And I am thinking of fighting the education system with a group of friends by bringing up an institution of academics outside of this obsolete system of academics
Been there bro, though I was lucky enough I knew about how pathetic the education practices are and moved on to internet to learn more things and more importantly practice myself however i could. Now I'm a game dev in UK which is Indian's have limited exposure to as their career. I would just say don't let your college define your future. Bit of a funny story, my BE project was roughly based on a game's research paper and my mentor didn't approve it as games weren't considered a project. My father suggested to just replace all mentions of 'game' and change of to 'software/tool' and it got approved :D
Nmc made the attendance compulsory instead of relaxing it and is using biometric attendance to avoid proxies. These are clowns of another level. They will never learn.
Germany was left crumbled after 2nd world war, the war was 3 to 5 years long, before and after that development was there and the people were the same. The British exploited India for 200 long years, the Indian people were not in control of their development, instead British as a ruler gave all the horrific thing like Bengal Famine, Jalliwan wala Bagh Massacre for so long years which left people scarred, the colonial mindset was imprinted on them, to get out of the colonial mindset completely we might need another 2 generation (50 years)
That is all excuses. Even South Korea and Taiwan were exploited by the Japanese Empire. Yet both the countries became wealthy and rich in a few decades. Today South Korea and Taiwan both are doing much better than Japan in a lot of things.
Germany may have been left crumbled after WW2 but they were an industrial power before WW2 and so their experience of that industrialisation helped them recover quickly after WW2. Same with Japan. They were leading industrial powers before WW2.
True they were left crumbled, but the meer amount at which India was exploited it was no match for neither Germany or Japan, they are small countries with very less population. If you compare the loss of life due to WW2 or WW1 in either of the countries, none would be comparable to 1 bengal famines, and there were 3 or 4 major famines during the 200 years and 1 after
Germany has it's own problems. Right now it doing ok. But India right now is not doing well. While the economy is doing better the per capital of income of Indians do not break the top 100 countries.
Ganesh Prasad...i give you lot of respect for your knowledge and communication skills. But, i am sure the thumbnail showcasing Hitler and Modiji together is not a mistake. This is by intention. Just to attract people, who are left leaning. Also, the basic comparison itself of India and Germany is wrong. India has 140cr and Germany has 8cr. Population, hence growing to 54000$ per capita, would be impossible for next 100years, unless we do some miracle ... But your suggestions are asusual fantastic.
@@Prashant_Pandey4 even then it is impossible to have a per capita income like germany because oil and gas profits are horded by rich few and employs very little.
Living in Germany as an Indian with a German spouse has shown me some major cultural differences. Germans are very honest and follow rules even when no one is watching, both at work and on the streets. Indians, on the other hand, often find ways to bend rules, from everyday people to politicians. Germans also love to read, and their universities are top-notch. In contrast, India's charm lies in its organized chaos. People live in the moment and don’t always plan ahead. Socializing in India is much easier because people are more spontaneous. In Germany, the strict and disciplined lifestyle can sometimes make people forget to have fun. Comparing India to the US might make more sense since the cultural differences between India and Germany are quite significant and probably won’t ever fully align. Oh, and by the way, Germany was a powerhouse during WW1 and WW2. They were already super advanced technologically and managed to cause serious damage to the Allied forces despite having fewer people and a smaller land mass. The German Luftwaffe was way more advanced than anything the Allies had. India has a lot of skills to catch up on in that regard.
Dear Ganesh. I'm particularly impressed with your analysis of the Mittelstand companies of Germany and your explanation about the Kurzarbeit policy. I'm currently working in similar world giant from Germany and can say that it's extremely difficult for India to replicate something like this in the next 10 years. Our effed up education system is literally bleeding our society and the brain drain still continues!! With cheating scams and paper leaks rampant i think our country has a long long way to go. No wonder every single politician's kids are studying either in the US or Germany or some other European country. Modi 3.0 being a coalition government seeing any game changing updates in any field is highly unlikely! Seems like we may altogether miss the opportunity once again! The only stand out point for us as a country is our youthfulness! And maybe that will help us.
Not just Mittelstand, but also the smaller "Familienunternehmen" have better recruiting policies. It all starts with Mindset. As long as one thinks only for himself, there will be no societal improvement.
In india if Adani Reliance become india top company means people of opposition criticize Central Govt. Indian need world MNC companies to manage Indian economy 😂

@@Krishna-pt3yu because of ambani internet is cheap ask any student preparing for exams like jee, neet, etc will tell you cheap internet profits although airtel is also trying to pop up
Finally someone said that. It's not just German people, and government, but largely the rivalry between the US and USSR, where Germany and Japan had unique positions.
I think its a bit childish to give all the credit to the Marshall plan the us only provided money worth of goods and services mainly shipping services. U see fam indias problem is not in the shortage of funds but a lack of commitment towards their work
@@anupsingha3071 agreed, it wasn't just the Marshall plan, but that plan and the geopolitical situation played an enormous role in fast recovery and boom of the economy of Germans, and Japanese. And, as for problem with us (Indians), we know deep inside our minds that there is a huge problem in our mindset, and should acknowledge it, and rectify it. Like US had been built since start on "Entrepreneurship", like those were literal colonies (ventures) by the settles, in the US people ventured out, took big risks, and were not given feebies by the big brother. But our govt, being a more socialist one, didn't care about entrepreneurship, and free enterprise, but distribution of the pie of wealth before it even was baked properly, so our mindsets became that of poor, i.e. laziness and feelings of that nothing is under our control, what can I do, living reactive lives instead of a proactive one.
It is not the Marshall plan. Just count the number of scientists of German descent who have got the Nobel Prize. The education system in Germany is the best in the world and it's completely free. They are responsible and reliable at the work they do. Indians on the other hand try to do the bare minimum and always give out the mediocre output on anything and everything.
No biggest reason was that germany have all the industrial tech and talent which is there due to millitary industrial complex but in case of india we are under foreign occupation for centuries so all knowledge has lost and even people died

You are missing one important point. After world war II, Germany and South Korea were given grants (free money) under the Marshall Plan!. India got nothing from UK
Literally we the people of India need to understand these contents maturely. This dedication needs to be improvised by each and every citizen of India inorder to"politicalized" either than "REVOLUTIONIZED".
And that's why we need more people like think school who can provide crystal clear situations and not be leftist, centralist or rightist such as druv rathi
First :- Unemployment rate is mostly contributed by UPSC aspirants and other students who wants something more. Second:- Their is no point in comparing GDP per capita as food prices vary a lot , for example :- Rs 100 can buy you Vada pav, Sev puri and other things if you are starving. Third :- In India people are taught to hate rich people, How can anyone increase export if such opposition is faced to create wealth. Blame the Government but also Blame yourself. Don't enter a victim mindset.
I agree with what you said but per capita GDP difference is 50 (2.7k to 52k) times. The price difference can be neglected if it's around 05 times but it's 50 times. We have to work on that and also improve education standards.
You must be living inside a jungle to say that unemployment is mostly contributed by UPSC aspirants. Sure, spending years in the cycle is sheer wastage of time but bro, get your numbers right. Solving the UPSC problem will not have a significant effect on the employment problem. We don't have jobs. That's the problem. Also, jobs should be as per the skillset developed and skillset should be as per industry demands. It is a 2-way street in that sense and we are miserable on both sides.

Fantastic research and recommendations! Industry and education institutions collaboration is very important! Hope these messages fall into the right ears!
One important point missed here, which can be the topic for next video: Demand problem of India. Most Indians never buy quality products, we always go for cheap ones. Cheap quality products are a lose lose for everyone: 1. Company doesn't make much profits off cheap quality products 2. Customer gets a pathetic product and loses productivity or product fails completely 3. Company can't pay good wages because their income and profit margins are low, so only a few top people in company earn good, rest all are on minimum wage 4. Low quality products become the norm and this degrades quality of life for everyone in the society 5. It's harder to do business and many businesses fail because customer is so much cost concious 6. We are unable to compete globally, this we only export primary goods and IT services. Never good quality products and services
This means very low businesses survive and the quality of jobs is also low, our economic activity is abysmal. Even if we have top notch education, the students won't find matching quality jobs in India in enough numbers and thus go abroad (which has become a craze now)
@@pritishpatil7659 very insightful. I was thinking about the same. How can companies invest so much into creating a good product which will cost twice the average cost of same product in the market? Also even if they invest so much, there is always cheaper knockoffs and we Indians go for it. We Indians need to change our mindset and need to value quality over money and quantity. But on the other hand, we can be global leaders if we produce good quality products and EXPORT it. There is very less scope for premium products in local market. Education system is also an underrated problem. Also, demonetization weakened Indian local businesses and strengthened all conglomerates. Government needs to understand few Billionaires cannot save the country. Politics aside, everyone needs to understand the importance of education & R&D for a country.
@@msdolly6101981 ur an exception in the Indian market. There are so many people who knew some cheap products are bad for health and still uses it. Edit: I don't blame them. Circumstances force them.

Is this something similar to our PF deductions in India?
Bro sarcastically described Pathetic condition of indian youths....❤
Here's a counter argument:
1) Germany works under the framework of EU which is a united body of ALL European nations with open borders and work permits, trade agreements & shared currencies & economic responsibilities.
Bro has facts💯
To add to 3rd point, even in future if a party came up with a bill abolishing reservations, people won't support it.
TRUTH HAS BEEN SPOKEN 👏👏
Good points. This gives a viewpoint to see the whole picture before judging india.

So, can our NEP 2020, solve this? Are there any case study about NEP?
Not everything that glitters is gold. Such type of over-simulated life and such economic model without disruptive environment may lead to lack of innovation and loss of excitement that uncertainty provides.

Germany recovery is due to Marshall Plan. West Germany to be precise. And second because of industrial nature of german people.

One important point missed here, which can be the topic for next video: Demand problem of India. Most Indians never buy quality products, we always go for cheap ones. Cheap quality products are a lose lose for everyone:
1. Company doesn't make much profits off cheap quality products
2. Customer gets a pathetic product and loses productivity or product fails completely
3. Company can't pay good wages because their income and profit margins are low, so only a few top people in company earn good, rest all are on minimum wage
4. Low quality products become the norm and this degrades quality of life for everyone in the society
5. It's harder to do business and many businesses fail because customer is so much cost concious
Not true. Low quality don't last long. I don't mind paying more for a very good product.

@@YogiLogicit's a GREAT choice actually. Only you believe it's bad no doubt due to false education about what really happened. HINT: The roles in real life were actually reversed. The so called innocent eternal victims are actually the criminals now and back then . Just look at Gaza. They can do absolutely anything they want to and then lie to the public . The people you think were bad in WW2 were actually very good 👍 and fighting to remove a cancer
When the politicians irrespective of party leaving their ego join hands to develop the education system it automatically leads to better employment and economy automatically improves .
If they do reverse policys just for political gain the country growth will be stagnant
great video brother. keep pointing out what actually matters for the society.
Excellent case study. Living in Germany, I can confirm that every fact about the work culture and system structure is true. However, you missed mentioning that Indian engineers are highly reputed in Germany and the US, which is only because of our sheer dedication. Imagine retaining such talent in our own motherland; we could definitely create history. Also, in India, our society encourages you to take a safe job, but no one encourages you to become an entrepreneur. This mindset needs to change. Anyways, all the best to all the young talents out there! Jai Hind

Man what to say! We have teachers who go on strike for petty reasons like marking attendance using bio metrics. We are doomed because of incompetency of government sectors to be honest. We need major revolution of government sectors with highly functioning system that doesn’t require any one to run. In that way we can reduce corruption and disciplinary issues. Until then we are doomed to be mediocre 😢

I have worked in india for 3 years and came to germany last year. After working for 1.5 years here, I can say the biggest difference is the work culture.
how was it?
@EshanVerma-py4ol In india I used to work as an engineer in a conglomerate and here I am doing low level jobs (to cover study and living expenses). And I can say that I am getting more respect here than back home. The work culture here is mostly encouraging and supportive. On the other hand, there I used to get a lot of bullshit even after doing 99 tasks perfectly out of 100.
@ I see , happy for you brother.
Do you think it’ll be wise to consider studying abroad after 12th i am planning.

Only if we didn't have to spend on defence like Germany. Just being part of EU uplifts you. Not a fair competition.
Funds is not the issue here they gave 800crore for a bridge 💀
India is larger than the entire EU. Each of our states are equivalent or more in terms of population to a European country.
@@anibeto7well we don't have a protector like usa who will fund our defences and also we don't have peaceful neighbours like europe
@@adityapatil2644 Okay.. Polulation of North America and Europe combined is less than that of India. If an individual Indian can truly add value to the world then it is pretty much possible.
The problem is, Indians docnot have the scientific and artistic temper today. Europeans became successful because they cultivated the scientific temper, created art and business. Indian politicians have failed India hard. Kar to vo bohot kuch sakte hain, par karenge nehi.
No it doesn't. Germany is an occupied colony of the US regime and has the highest concentration of US regime troops after Japan. And that is why Germany has to participate in all the wars and sanctions that the USA regime asks them to do. and result is German economy has been declining in the last 2 years and is getting deindustrialised.
Yes, 🇮🇳 will reach new heights. Germany and the worst part is many in India I.e. some Indians are very unhappy about India’s rise.
This is great another video,Thank you buddy.
Specialized manufacturing of one product reminds me of tradesmen of India who were recognized with their Jati. I always said to my friends, that by destroying the Jati system in India, They/We have actually destroyed the skills that once made India the Industrial hub. The skillsets that were passed from generation to generation got lost in adapting to British education.
It was a blessing that the Britishers came India and put all the so called upper jati people at there place and taught them a lesson.
India was a dark clouded place. The Brits even though for their self interest and loot was a big help for the country.
Also I would suggest you to do manual labor and continue doing that for generations instead of giving lectures

Loved when this used to be a business channel You guys should create a separate channel for your political content
This isn't politcal and think school's content was not just bussiness orieinted, i beliieve it comes under economics so these types of videos should belong here.
Did watch his old video, he explained politics and geopolitical is foundation of good strategy
without politics and government interventions , bussiness can't spur , Infact economics itself is understanding people choices and decisions , so politics , policy are as important for bussiness than technology or finance is .
Economics and politics go hand in hands. No exceptions. That is why all economists have political allegiances too whether left or right
politics is business
If you wanna compare two countries, just compare the top 6 cities gdp ppp.

Indian tier 1 cities are actually higher in gdp ppp than German tier 1 cities.

*Boycott of Peacefuls should be permanent. Only temporary as a reaction will achieve nothing. We should calculate 1 years impact of economic boycott and from this consider the effect of it in next 10-20-50-100 years which will be tremendous.*
*Just like any other habit it will require deliberate conscious efforts for first few months/years until you get used to it. Yes with a country 140 crore people should be able to generate more wealth than a country of 8 crore people.
population shouldn't matter in most cases, what matters is the education and skills, with good education even a country with 5 million people can be more productive than a country with 50 million.
