Hey dude! First off just wanna say at this point in time you are my favorite reactor! It warms my heart to see people really getting into and appreciating the metal genre! The metal community is such an amazing place to be involved. You’re doing a great job with the variety of bands and songs to react to. Keep it up dude!
When it comes to metal especially deathcore the more you listen to it the more you'll be able to understand the crazy distorted vocals I can pick up a little bit of what Alex says but not all of it and I'd LOVE to see you do a reaction to Whitechapel Also side note you said "How is this healthy for your voice" so people have different vocal folds to make noises with your true vocal folds is what you talk and do clean singing with what deathcore vocalists do for those crazy low distorted vocals is they use what's called the false vocal folds by using these it does not damage your voice and everyone has them and they are essentially the same in everyone which is why even females can get those really low screams even though they do not have testosterone but I digress if you want to hear a female metal vocalist look up Spiritbox or Jinjer
The mask is called “kid of darkness” it’s like a physical representation of the bands aggressive and heaviness. So basically it it’s badass just like the music lol. PS I got a mask last year and it’s even better in person.
The insanity is how freaking LOUD he is when growls too. He does some of it live without a mic and PHEW! You definitely hear it all the way to the back!
haha it's always funny to see someone convert to metal now I suggest it's 3 music Lorna Shore - Sun//Eater Gojira - Amazonia Avatar - A Secret Door. or Avatar - Bloody Angel or Avatar - Hail The Apocalypse (it's complicated to propose a specific avatar song, they are so diverse and unique that it's impossible to get an idea of the group with just one song) and little bonus Alestorm - P.A.R.T.Y is a group that has a lot of fun in the pirate metal sub-category, it's very fun too
Some context for the mask it's called the child of darkness mask he started off just making it but the mask goes to a comic he made and the main character has it
Metal guitars and drums are just on another level from other popular genres. There’s no chorus or the same Melodie’s playing the entire song, it’s always changing with solos and breakdowns. The biggest thing that puts people off metal are the screaming vocals. The main thing to understand, in metal, is to think of the vocals as it’s own instrument. Even if you can’t understand it all, that’s fine bc their voice is truly another instrument. Screaming is not easy at all. It’s awesome you’re expanding your horizons. There’s nothing like a good metal live show
Alex Terrible hand crafts each and every mask all on his own and sells them on their website. They are sometimes hard to get ahold of (because he only makes so many at one time), and they cost upwards of $100+, but the craftsmanship is top-notch.
I'll tell you what. Vocals like this aren't meant to be understood or picked up just from listening. From my opinion, these vocals are an instrument that meshes with all the other instruments from the band. And everything just works so well. I've been a metalhead since i was a kid back in the 80's. I have learned to love this style. It's a bit dark at first, but it'll grow on you and will get to the point where it's all you will want to hear. Well for me that is. Great reaction dude. STP havent been around for that long but they are already legends in my eyes. One last thing that i had to edit. You have to love the BLEGH!!!!!!! Every now and then i love a good blegh. Especially before/after a heavy breakdown or drum fill. Long live the BLEGH!!!!
I'll also tell you what. When you sit down and read these kinds of vocals you typically see a lot of masterfully written poetry. It makes you understand that these songs are more than just unbridled energy and blast beats. It is that too, though. 😂
The mask was designed by Alex and few artists he stated this during an interview. You can buy them off his offical store! Love seeing Alex convert others. Love your vid my dude stay golden sir ✌🏻
When you read the lyrics while you listen to it you will hear it more clear after time you eventually just hear it if you listen. Almost like another language but he does actually say stuff in Russian as well as English
I'm sure there are better drummers out there but I simply do not care. Evengy is an absolute God. I've watched way too many of his playthroughs and warm-up clips not to feel convinced of this. And Alex is quite literally built for those lows, his anatomy is cavernous. I'm a sucker for low and mids. Black Tongue as a vocalist that does some of my all time favorite lows.
