That box you changed is the alarm box. Low oil, and temp. The cdi box is the bigger black box next to it. If it has moisture inside of it you can heat them up to help dry them out.
a carb re-build kit is around $35. an inline fuel filter is around $7.a new plug is under $10. the air/fuel mixture screw is on the front of the carb. tighten in gently, until it seats & then back it out appx. 2.5 turns. you can fine tune it after everything else is fixed to find the "sweet spot"
I have the same issue with my bike from what I have looked at the green box is the oil temperature alarm box I did the same thing and replaced the wrong box.
I have been pretty amazed that that starter just chuggs along and never gives in. Check out my newest video. I give it a good workout again. 😆 It stuck in there.
You changed out alarm box not cdi box. Dont order cdi off Amazon get a Honda Box. The Amazon boxes will connect to your wire plugs but the pins are different.

I was mechanicing at Marine place and every week or two we got a letter from Honda other marine motor places and it said the life expectancy of gas is 14 days that's it we would get a letter every few weeks gas is really weak after 14 days it might not start at all and if you leave it in one for 6 months they won't start
I think this is Mis- titled I should read why I need a new battery charger jumper. Haha I bearly had patience to try to watch parts of it. Change the alarm box instead of CDI by the way.

Done all that and still haven't got it right. I'm just not good at carbs. I just going to have to get more practice.

Did you purchase OEM. Genuine part or eBay? My box recently went out, original is half what I paid for the bike , thinking about the 15$ cheaper ?

The box was pretty cheap so I just changed it. there may be a way to check it but that is beyond my knowledge.
@@ARR-SHOP thanks,tore it all down like you did,changed the coil,wasn't the problem.the darn kill switch is the issue.good spark now.
So now I am confused...you replaced the Temp/Fan box instead of the CDI box...AND IT WORKED?????

For the the bigger box of the cdi box the one you didn’t do at the begging of the video how would you get that off? Mines a 1988
It should just slide out of the rubber holder if I remember correctly. mine is a 97 so it may be different.

What if you put in a new CDI box n plug and plug wires and u still don't get spark That is the problem I am having
Could be the stator or ignition coil
Why don't you det the idling up on it
clean out carby blow through the gets mate

Put a new carburetor on it dummy you gonna fuck the engine up with starting fluid

All them ford's there and you still don't know what your doing should have plenty of practice with all them fords
