Great video, thanks for not covering the beautiful song with music.
There calling for a set of tyres on both👍
Noely L I say both of them are nearly in retirement now 😕
Never saw a mower with a merger attached to it. That's neat
How does it cure
SOUND!!!
hmm that engine sounds sooo healthy
Proper h.p
Two migty men on the mowers
Here in the states they are not popular we are trying to get setup like this and r having a hard time finding one
They aren't as popular as they used to be here either, mostly mowing it and raking it after now is the new thing. There isn't a lot in the making of them, all there is really is a hydraulic ram and a hydraulic motor which drives the belt and a simple enough frame which mounts to the mower, the usually set up the belt would seat around 30 degrees behind the conditioner on the mower.
Love it. Now subscribed. 4350 appears to have an extra tank attached.
Is this for diesel?
fergie35X Yes, both tanks are connected
Those 40 series tractor had a smaller tank than the 50
these tractors aren't kept well there is grass spinning on the PTO shaft which should be inclosed
You’re an idiot
@@nalley6815 an idealist idiot
Thanks for the video! I assume the 'merger' is the plow fixture brought down every other pass - is this used to bring two plowed rows together for quicker baling? Seems sometimes the operators didn't merge them, so why weren't they merged regularly? Also, looks like one of the mowers was overheating (blue smoke on the right) towards the end - do you remember what happened there?
The two rows being joined together is called swathing. The swather is attached to the back of the mowing and is only used when joining rows together all it is really a conveyor belt attached to the back of the mower.First pass the operator cuts without using the swather cutting a single row the next pass the operator using the swather to join the rows. This is used the speed up time on picking up the grass and save costs. The blue smoke look to be like a loose belt on the mower.
RIGS :D
where can u get the merger ?
You can get a merger from usually machinery dealers or classified machinery adds on line or in machinery magazines also some engineering company's make them. In Ireland we usually call a merger a swatter.
Or grouper
Is that 4350 still in use or scrapped by now...could do with some parts😬
Ya a 4350 I think it’s parked in a shed someplace waiting to be restored at some stage she was still working away up to a few years ago
@@johnwmurphy actually restoring our own one is why I asked, but good to know it's not being broken up. Cant be many 4350's in the country
@@dmcg6074 Very good I haven’t seen one in ages, I’ve a 4050 which I’m kinda working and doing up ha 😂 I know if I start taking it apart it might turn into a money pit or left in bits for years ha, she is fairly mechanical sound at the moment just interior needs doing and wheels need spraying and a generator tidy up I say for now, are you going at a full restoration on your 4350, really nice tractors I was mad to buy a 4240s or a 4350 years ago but couldn’t find one for sale and they are making big money in the uk
@@johnwmurphy going for a thorough renovation I would describe it as, giving it to a guy to panel beat, repair any rust and paint, but certainly not going down the Cyril hannah bottomless money pit route. It will still be a working tractor when it's done but now that we took the cab off over xmas it's clear to see now is the time to do it before rust really takes hold. Its will get the rust and paint done properly and a new interior.. 2.5k from the US! An led light upgrade, wiring looms renewed and any parts gone missing replaced back to original. I see your 4050 in the profile is mint, didn't you give it a led upgrade also? Your sidelights on the fender got me thinking..
@@dmcg6074 The Cyril Hannah route looks great but It’s only good if your putting the tractor in the shed to look at, I’m more a lad going out doing a days work with it and enjoying it you wouldn’t be long getting ride of the shinny tractor out in a field for a day 😂💩, I like the route your going you want to keep it a working tractor but getting everything right, cab interiors are crazy money there is a crowd in the Uk that do them too when I was looking to do it ages ago, I got my noise cone led light from Larson in the USA very helpful only thing I got caught for duty tax when it arrived here which up the price abit but I’m very happy with it the quality is very good, the side lights they were in it but try nick young in the uk he should have them.
