    Brilliant video, no music except that of the machines working.
    I noticed the artic trailer hadn't any brakes connected to the tractor drawing it, with about 40 bales on it that would be a minimum of 20ton. I hope there are no big down hills or ever a need to stop quickly!

    Awesome, John, as always. Makes me feel a bit inadequate, as I have not got 120 cows to milk (thank goodness). But at least it gives me time to see things . . . but I don't always film then!! Your videos are terrific.

    I been doing this on the FS 2015 PC game today but with a Krone Ultima non-stop wrapping baler doing big 1.5 ( 5000 L ) round wrapped bales. The only thing is they can roll away even on a slight slope ;P So where possible I do square wrapped baling of hay using a New Holland 1290 with a McHale 998 square bale wrapper so the bales don't roll away? Mind you do need a very powerful tractor to run big balers with a wrapper on! I use the Deutz Fahr Taurus 660 HP tractor, that may look like a Beach Buggy with it's big wide back tires, But it sure works well since my farms have hills. : ) I think the real farmers are fantastic people to do this for real.

    Just wonder why tedding is necessary when making haylage, I may have not even raked unless it makes sense to bring two together, which it usually does

  • @TETOYVIENDO
    @TETOYVIENDO 9 років тому

    Hello experts ... cut and pack grass to sell to farmers worth the investment to buy a tractor and tools ??? (please be honest)

    • @92xl
      @92xl 9 років тому

      TETOYVIENDO There is no way this method can be fiscally solvent. The amount of machinery involved to cut, rake, bale and individually plastic wrap each bale will make beef prices unattainable.

      it is very profitable and you can justify the cost of equipment if done correctly, i am in the same business and its very successful, so please dont make comments on things you dont understand !

      yawns.........

  • @turbochevelle5641
    @turbochevelle5641 9 років тому

    Neat to watch but for the average farmer this is not cost effective. I would rather aquire additional grazing property than pay the cost of all that equipment. The upside of the property over equipment is that you never lose value with property, the equipment will lose value the moment you take delivery.

    How can this operation be economically viable? Certainly not a farming expert but capital and operational costs for this equipment must be staggering.

    • @justinjohnston8704
      @justinjohnston8704 9 років тому

      There is no way that it is. The wrapping and special handling equipment makes this non fesable. Really they dhould just have a round baler net wrapping these to keep them.

    • @7810ftw
      @7810ftw 8 років тому +1

      its goes for a very high price and there is a lot of profit involved if done correctly !

    are you serious right now, a 7530 with 2 mowers, why tf not 3 it has the power, and then you use a flipping tiny tractor on that size of a tedder😤

    • @dmacklad5394
      @dmacklad5394 6 років тому +1

      Henry McConnell you don't need a huge tractor to drive a tedder
