lazy tip for cleaning the food processor: put some hot water and a little bit of dish soap in there and process it! gets all the veggie pieces out of the nooks and crannies for you
Can also throw ice in it with cool water & a bit of soap if that doesn’t work
Note. The past 5/6 years, nutritionists have been recommending that meat eaters take a B12 supplement, as our poor meat animals don't get it from their diet, and are given them too

@@bbb3rryI had a dietician tell me that taking at least 3x a week is good. So make daily your goal and then if you miss a day here and there it’s not a big deal. :)

@@VeganLiving247 I take vitamin B12 about 3x a week. I have never asked a doctor but last time I had blood work everything looked great.
@@bbb3rry B vitamins are water soluble (as opposed to fat soluble like Vitamin E for example) so they don't build up in our systems and any extra is flushed out. It's the same with Vitamin C, which is why I take a timed-release form of that. It's my understanding that all of the B-Complex vitamins work together more efficiently than just taking the one B12.
I’m a busy adult college student. Despite having income, I budget $100 of groceries a week. $150 when I replace pantry items. I appreciate the meal prep style. I grocery shop on Saturday and cook all my meals for the week on Sunday 🙂☺️ thank you for the inspiration!

Tip: do NOT add water directly into the jar of PB2 (or any peanut powder), thinking you’ll save time. It goes moldy in about a day. Learn from my mistake.

love the whole foods high protein. I unfortunately became allergic to concentrated soy recently, so I am working on navigating that as a vegan.
Lentils and other legumes will be your friend and other beans, grains, pastas made with high protein. You can even make wraps out of lentils which is pretty neat.

Btw what is considered a concentrated soy item and a non concentrated soy item? Would non concentrated just be foods that have a bit of soy added, whereas concentrated would be the whole food itself like edamame beans, soy milk, tofu etc?
@@VeganLiving247Thank you! I’ve been doing a lot of lentils and mung beans and that’s been great. The way it was described to me was concentrated would be whole soy items, but I don’t have to avoid things with soybean oil or soy sauce!

My sis can’t have soy but I found chickpea tofu at Whole Foods today. She was so excited. There’s good videos on making a style of tofu from any legume etc too
The world of beans is HUGE! For instant, many people don't use white beans but they are great to add to other ingredients because they don't have a strong flavor but are yummy and creamy.

Always make sure to rinse brown rice because it has high levels of arsenic. By a good rinse, you can reduce the amount greatly.

Used all mayo cuz don’t have any vegan Greek yogurt. But I might go searching for that Riveria yogurt the next time I make a pasta salad. Hopefully it helps to cut back a bit on the fats in mayo. I need to go compare how much fat mayo vs Riveria Greek yogurt is….. 🤔 I tend to eat high fat so it’s good to find substitutes to have a little less here n there.
Maybe I missed it, but how are the Buddha Bowls heated up when you want one? Oven? Microwave?
I am really bad at eating big breakfasts unfortunately. I would divide the breakfast recipe in two and have the other half for desert after lunch or dinner :)
The breakfast is 1/2 c oats... not much at all.
For me 1/2 c is a massive portion. As I said I cannot eat big breakfasts early in the morning. My default serving of oats (on my day off, for brunch) is 1/3 cup, but I also add lots of fruit. It fills me up completely, but I usually eat some snacks later to make up for the smaller portion@@klaurvick4501

I somewhere read that apple cider vinegar along with some other types of vinegar are not vegan because of the filtration process. Can you please elaborate this, should we use them or not.❤🙏
I don’t know about other vinegars though I’d imagine with the fruit based ones a similar issue arises, which is nematode worms in the “vinegar mother” no involuntary protein for me tyvm lol 😅

Where do you find vegan Greek yogurt in Canada?
It was either Walmart or superstore I’ve seen it in the past. I don’t buy it so can’t say if it’s still available but I do believe it was Walmart, next to where you get soy milk etc.
There are lots of brands of vegan Greek yogurt in Canadian grocery stores like Superstore, Sobeys, especially this brand, I see them there all the time
Ugh when “body builder bros” (aka regular guys who say they can’t go vegan bc they want to have gains) tell me it’s impossible to get enough protein whilst vegan. I’ll just send them this video next time!
There are communities across social platforms (like vegan fitness on reddit ,etc) as well in case they need more help .

I'm not a huge fan of tofu😭. I'm just not fond of the texture at all but the Buddha bowl minus that looks amazing! But but the fake meats comment! The fake meats always get me😆 I make a veggie burger, I want to eat the veggies. NOT bloody looking veggies lol. If I wanted to see bloody pink meat, I'd just eat cow right? Kinda makes moot the point of eating veg😆
You honestly don’t need the added empty calories and fat from the oil. All of your wonderful recipes would be even better without that.

At some point, you'll maybe have to take away the "cheap" portion of your channel because supplements and protein powder, they sure ain't cheap at all. Neither is PB2.
You could always leave that out. And pb lasts a long time and you don't need much. It's like an investment
Is that granulated/refined sugar?? Please don't use refined sugar as the refining process of sugar is not vegan, it includes bone char. Also brown sugar is just refined sugar, mixed with molasses. So these aren't vegan. 🙏❤ Alternatives include unrefined cane sugar, coconut sugar or other vegan sweeteners.❤
Not all processes use bone char, there are companies (the major one in Canada for example) does not!

@adventureexe6032 incorrect not all of the usa uses bone char in sugar. The Vegan Zombie has done a video on this and maybe No Egg Craig too.
Ordinairy 'beet' suger is just as good (or bad) for you as the fancy coconut sugar. The difference is that beet suger is generally locally produced and thus will be better for the planet. Please don't let diet fads convince you to buy sugar from the other side of the globe.
