      @@tarcisiocastro4531 Você está absolutamente correto! A bateria CR2032 é de 3V, e carregar com 1V pode não ser eficaz, pois não é suficiente para restaurar a funcionalidade da célula de forma adequada. Além disso, o WD-40, embora seja ótimo para lubrificação e proteção contra a umidade, não é recomendado para limpar placas eletrônicas. O álcool isopropílico é a escolha ideal, pois ele evapora rapidamente e não deixa resíduos que podem danificar os componentes eletrônicos.

    We used to do this concept in the 60's with standard "heavy duty" or alkaline batteries they had battery rechargers, yet only worked so well & a couple times on the same cell. Basically you are shocking the chemistry. I did this with rechargeables later on at the end of their life.

    • @AmazingSmart-ngth
      @AmazingSmart-ngth  17 днів тому

      What a fascinating bit of history! It’s amazing how innovation keeps looping back to earlier concepts with new twists. Recharging non-rechargeable batteries must have felt like a game-changer back then, even with its limitations. It’s true-giving old batteries a second wind through “shocking” the chemistry has its risks and rewards. How did those earlier recharge attempts compare to modern rechargeable batteries in your experience? Would you say the progress has been significant? 😊

      @@AmazingSmart-ngth The chargers were beds where you placed in several cells... (I can remember my dad had one for D & C cells), & they plugged into 120vac & imagine a low voltage power supply, much as in your video again. Don't see these anymore as NiCD's & NiMH are doing this more efficiently & safer. These newer dedicated cells are much better.
      If you may know the newer NiMH aren't prone to the memory effect as the NiCD's are, meaning you fully drain the battery on the NiCD's before recharging them. If not they develop a short term memory, & have a short run time. .
      Earlier NiCd's were prone to some leaking or sweating from chemical reactions at their end of life. .

    • @AmazingSmart-ngth
      @AmazingSmart-ngth  29 днів тому

      The battery life for this kind of setup really depends on the components and how you use it. Typically, if you're using a small battery or makeshift setup, it might last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on how much current is being drawn. For longer use, you would need a larger or more suitable battery.
      How do you plan to use it-just for short repairs or something that requires extended power?

    • @AmazingSmart-ngth
      @AmazingSmart-ngth  12 днів тому

      If the voltage reading showed 1V, it's likely that the battery is dead or severely discharged. A 12V battery that reads 1V typically cannot provide enough power to operate the device properly. In this case, it's time for a replacement.
      When you replace the battery, it's always a good idea to check the voltage again with a multimeter to ensure it's fully charged (usually around 12V for a healthy battery). Otherwise, the performance will continue to be unreliable.
      Have you tried charging the battery or testing another one? What do you usually do when a battery goes dead in this case?

      @@AmazingSmart-ngth I haven't but de did used to "shock" rechargeable niCads back in the 80's to eek a bit of extra life by hitting them briefly with a bit higher voltage as you are doing.
      I do have radios that have these 3v coin cells for memory backup, & some are rechargeable, while others not. Don't want to confuse these types due to internal circuitry.
      For the little bit of extra life I almost wouldn't bother, but one thing I do is always check depleted AAA & AA (or other standard cells) for life in them. Some devices take off the top end of the battery, thus depleting a 1.3v cell down to 1.1v in which the device will no longer function. These "depleted" batteries can still power many things. I found the best tester for standard A-D is a standard incandescent flashlight lamp. Load it with the light for about 5-10 seconds if the light is initially dim or non existent or starts brighter & fades off near nothing the cell is likely bad.
      Found depleted dry cells & ones close to depletion are more likely to leak, with all this technology now why cant they make a leakproof battery?

      @AmazingSmart-ngth  15 днів тому

      Hello, thank you for your question! You can use the same method for an 18V drill battery from DeWalt, but there are a few important things to consider:
      Voltage and Current: An 18V battery will provide higher voltage than lower-voltage batteries, so you need to make sure the components you're using (like the carbon brush, current regulator) can handle this voltage without damage.
      Check Contact Level: Since the battery has higher power, you need to check that the carbon brush is making proper contact with the armature. If the contact is uneven, it can cause short circuits or damage.
      Safety: With a powerful 18V battery, you need to be extra cautious, as higher voltage can be hazardous if not handled correctly.
      Have you tried using this 18V battery for other applications? How do you feel about its performance and safety?

      @@williess120 You're absolutely right! When measuring voltage with a multimeter, always ensure you select the correct range for the type of current (AC or DC) you're dealing with. For example, for a 1.5V DC battery, you should use the 2V range, and for a 12V DC, the 20V range is ideal. Always avoid setting the multimeter to too high a range when measuring small voltages to prevent overloading the meter. Additionally, measuring in "no-load" conditions (without a load like a light or device running) will only give you the open-circuit voltage, which can be different from the operating voltage under load.

      Yes, you are right. Lithium galvanic elements (e.g., CR2025) cannot be recharged as they are single-use batteries, and recharging them can be hazardous. Recharging such batteries can lead to explosions or other dangerous situations. Always use batteries as intended and avoid attempting to recharge them.

    • @AmazingSmart-ngth
      @AmazingSmart-ngth  Місяць тому

      The power from a homemade solution like this is typically very limited and can last only for a short amount of time, depending on the size of the battery and the load. It could last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, but it's unlikely to last a full day.
      Buying a new, reliable battery is often the more efficient and safe option, especially if you need sustained power. Homemade solutions may work in emergencies or as a temporary fix, but they aren't as durable or safe as proper replacements.

    Look for how cr battery is made!

    • @AmazingSmart-ngth
      @AmazingSmart-ngth  27 днів тому

      CR batteries, commonly known as coin cell batteries, are widely used in devices like watches, hearing aids, and small electronics. Their manufacturing process involves several precise steps to ensure reliability and performance. Here's an overview of how these batteries are made:
      1. Material Preparation: The process begins with the selection and preparation of materials. The cathode typically consists of lithium manganese dioxide (LiMnO₂), while the anode is made of lithium metal. These materials are carefully mixed to form a slurry, which is then coated onto metal foils-usually aluminum for the cathode and copper for the anode.
      WIKIPEDIA
      2. Electrode Formation: After coating, the electrodes undergo a drying process to remove any residual solvents. They are then pressed to achieve the desired thickness and porosity, optimizing them for energy storage and conductivity.
      3. Cell Assembly: The dried and pressed electrodes are cut into the appropriate shapes and sizes. For coin cells, these electrodes are stacked or wound into a spiral configuration, interleaving the anode and cathode with a separator to prevent short circuits.
      4. Electrolyte Filling: The assembled electrodes are placed into a metal casing, and an electrolyte solution is added. This electrolyte facilitates the movement of lithium ions between the anode and cathode during discharge and charge cycles.
      5. Sealing and Formation: The battery is sealed to prevent leakage and contamination. A formation process is then conducted, where the battery is charged and discharged under controlled conditions to stabilize the internal chemistry and ensure proper functionality.
      6. Testing and Quality Control: Each battery undergoes rigorous testing to assess its capacity, voltage, and overall performance. Only those that meet strict quality standards are approved for distribution.
      This meticulous manufacturing process ensures that CR batteries are reliable and efficient for their intended applications.
