He wasn't perfect, and he wouldn't even want us to hint at that, but I do believe history will record R.C. as one of the great men in Church History of the late 20th century and early 21st. He most certainly brought a great deal of understanding to a generation that had drifted from sound doctrine, myself included. Thank you God for R.C.!

I miss R.C. I didn't know of him prior to 2020. But I've listened to him and Ligonier, and in the past year, I've gleaned so much from Dr. Voodie Baucham,Pastor John MacArthur, and R.C. Sproul. What a great treasure R C was to the Body of Christ❤ At times I would listen to four to five of his lectures from the youtube. He was the best on any of the topics/series and R.C always stood for the truth and defended the truth till his last breath.
He was the Greatest Teacher I ever Had No one even comes close. I think He is the most intelligent human being I have ever heard speak. I PRAY THAT ONE DAY I WILL GET TO TELL R.C. Just how much I love Him and what he has done for me.

Chains that bind my reverence for the holiness of God and inerrancy of His Word would never have been as they are without his monumental influence (even in Serbia). I will miss R.C. Sproul in my life(virtually). I never was privileged enough to meet R.C. in my current, physical life. However I often took R.C. with me wherever i went, at work, and at the gym. I would listen to Q&A sessions with R.C. included in them, and I was greatly blessed by is easy going way of explaining topics like predestination, the will of humans in relation to the will of God, and learning about people/topics such as Martin Luther, Calvinism, and other relevant but previously unknown to me religious topics. My generation(the "millennials") are in trouble, and we are so dependent on the internet and media. I can say i was absolutely blessed to have stumbled upon R.C. on youtube when i did, as he and the others have helped me to realize just how ignorant i have been, and just how much more i had to(and still have to) learn.

RC changed my life by introducing me to the Doctrine of Election and the Holiness of God. Once I grasped the glory of the Doctrine of Election, my Christian faith entirely changed. I was raised Armenian, learned of and accepted molinism around 26 years old then at 29 happened upon R.C.'s series of "what is reformed theology." I watched every episode 3 times to confirm and reconfirm it's truthfulness, consistency, and that I understood what he was teaching. I've never had more peace than since then. And everything makes much more sense. I will forever be grateful for R.C.'s ministry. Thank you God for R.C.
The first time I heard about RC Sproul was 2 years ago (2022)but with great privilege I didn’t get to fully know him until 2023 through his sermons/Bible teachings I have been listening to on a weekly basis. He is an absolute solid spiritual theologian/ teacher/ Pastor that every man who spoke up about him at the funeral says a lot about RC as a Godly man & his character. He was a true & faithful servant of God. He truly laid his life for God and defended the Gospel & well accomplished Gods sovereign purpose for his own. “Well done good and faithful servant.” This funeral was well put together. Well done to everyone involved who put together a beautiful memorial service for RC! He would have loved it and loved to have see it too. I know I am late to see this, but I do hope Vesta & her family are doing great with life today(12/16/24) as RC would have wanted all for everyone to move forward knowing that those who are saved and loved RC Sproul will get to see him again. That’s a joyful HOPE we can lean on because of Jesus Christ. I thank God a million times over that He sent His son to die on the cross to save His people to have eternal life with Him one day. A memory of RC will live on forever and honored by all who have known RC. Glory & Praises to God for RC’s life who has impacted millions of converted Christians 🤍🙏🏼 what a beautiful impact he left behind for everyone to continue to live through his teachings so that more people can come & know Christ for who He is & to have an eternal life together with Him.

I first began listening to RC more than 20 years ago when I would catch him on a radio station in the Atlanta area and what a blessing his teachings were to me. Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of RC to all of us.

I have always admired R.C. Sproul and found his work to always speak the truth in love. One memory in particular sticks with me, that when I was about 16, I stayed home from church as I was sick, and I watched an R.C. teaching video we have, and he was talking about in Isaiah where the angels are singing, "Holy, holy, holy" to God, and R.C.'s points there just brought me to tears as I realized that such a holy God loved me personally and deeply, and I was unworthy of that love, but oh so grateful for it. I thank God for men like R.C.
I just discovered r c sprouls teachings a couple months ago. God has greatly used this man to help me more than I could ever say. Truly a man called by God. I thank the Lord and saviour for RC. May God continue to use his preaching to touch lives and change hearts.

More pertinent to you might be God's condemnation of pettiness, haughtiness and unnecessary divisiveness among the brethren. A broader use of the term "envy" should be applied in this particular context rather than proof-texting in an attempt to use scripture as a club to beat someone up with. It's both infantile and superficial. Christ condemned the pharisees for that very sin.
A giant of a man. Fearless, really funny, and a great defender of Scripture and the holiness of God. Not Scripture as we want it to be, but Scripture as it is. Not the God some wish existed, but the One who truly exists.

I came to know about RC after his passing, and I will always feel indebted to his obedience in serving the Lord and encouraging so many brothers and sisters in Christ!
Well, having just seen this, I can't but leave my own appreciation post, experience and happiness through the life, teaching and truth of the Gospel taught and thoroughly exposited by the Man of God, Robert Charles Sproul. He's helped me a great deal in the understanding of the Bible, the very difficult parts, and even some teachings, that had I not been open-minded to learn, I would have scoffed at, but thank God I did humble my mind to learn and been seriously blessed and made aware of the profound truth embedded in the Scriptures. God be with you till we meet again, dear brother. To God alone be the glory now and forevermore.
I came to the states some 34 years ago and for many years a listened a seeked to the teaching of many preachers but when I listened to Dr. Sproul preached I rejoyced with excitment and I listened to that sermon some seven or eight times trying to capture every word so profound and so full of life that I felt my heart, soul and spirit revigorized and even though I never had the chance to meet him in person, I will continue in the pursue of engaging into his deep teaching thru his sermons as my soul so much needs it. Oh no! Even though R.C has received his reward we still long for him here on earth. When I began to seek the understanding for myself R.C and his Cole ruin of lectures taught me so much, coming from an evangelical Christian background it helped me understand God’s word so much more. I Believed upon the Name of the Lord in 2005. The first church I attended was a church that was & is still caught up in the Charismatic,Prosperity movement. I started to feel as something was not right, I believe the Holy Spirit was tugging at my Heart. So started my journey as a Christian,seeking the Truth. I would listen to the radio & came across R.C. Sproul's teaching of the Word of God & scripture on Ligonier. I Received his book on the Holiness of God. Lets just just say this was the beginning of my pilgrimage. Through R.C. Sproul I was also introduced to John Macarthur,Al Mohler & so many great teachers that so,Love & preached the Word of God. So much more to share, but I to will miss R.C. Thanks for being there & leading the way for the Fight for True Biblical Theology on the inerrancy of the word of God. Thanks R.C.,May our Lord the Christ get all the Glory☝.

Wow, I knew I’d well up, i wish I had hear he speak! The Holiness of God of the first book I read after leaving the cult of JWs. It opened my eyes, The Holy Spirit lead me to Jesus via RC. God bless him. Since then the veil has dropped from my eyes and I’m trying to get the rest of my family to leave this cult and to come to the real truth of the real gospel.
I didn't know he had passed away. I have been watching alot of his videos and clips and have learned so much about God! I'm sad he's not here to continue to teach people. I really admired him!
I watched the whole thing a couple days ago, and once again to listen to Sinclair Ferguson. I had tears the first time I heard him speak. I have never heard a message and penetrate to the depths of my soul. I have been longing to hear something like this that could grip me in a spiritual way and cause me to question what I have been listening to and to whom I have been listening to. I got saved in 2005, and it was just recently I feel like I have been renewed, renewed with the real truth of God, his Son, and his Spirit. What John MacArthur said ("this is the greatest time in the history of the church for the expansion of sound doctrine. The truth is captured in the doctrines of grace and reformed theology") is absolutely right. It is time for sound doctrine to come out of pulpits rather than opinions and ramblings. I hope that pastors look to RC as an example and defend faith, especially in this time.
I’m not a Calvinist , but I learned a lot from Dr. R C Sproul. I respected and admired him for his eloquence and commitment to the Lord and His Word. He was a real gift to the church of our Lord

I just watched the Memorial of R.C. Sproul and I couldn't held my tears. He was exceptionally gifted as a Theologian, Preacher, Teacher, among other wonderful qualities. But nothing to be sorry about his departure, he is in much better place with our Lord and Saviour and this is forever.
I knew sadly that he had passed away, but I just today watched his memorial service. I have watched so many teachings he gave and especially loved the question and answer conferences. What a sense of humor and a great love for our Lord!! I was feeling very sad that he is gone from earth, then a revelation: I will see him in Heaven one day! He is one person I want to personally meet(besides God of course). I want to tell him how much I enjoyed his stories and loved to listen to the Word through him. I also liked that he didn't believe in the pre-tribulation rapture! I believe we will be here in the tribulation, but not alone, Jesus will help us through it. A part of me wanted to meet him here, but I can wait till Heaven!
What a magnificent celebration of the life of RC Sproul! Many tears were shed and I am eternally grateful to live in this age to have access to his teachings and his memorial service. The giants of my faith were very gracious and loving in their thoughts of him. But as RC always preached "To God Be the Glory. "
A little over one year after my conversion to life in Christ (1986), I was introduced to RC through the series "The Cross of Christ". I was set on a course of study that brought me to the Reformed/Biblical faith. That was the beginning of the next 34 years of growing in Grace. RC has continued to teach me and I bless God for him.
One of the true titans of the 20th &21st centuries… I can’t wait to talk with RC , Luther, Calvin, Augustine, Paul and a host of disciples of our most glorious God!
I just happened to stumble across this video. I knew he wasn't well; just not THAT bad off! God has called another of his followers and teachers home. I spent many a night, for the past 3 years, listening to his teachings at my graveyard shift job. I will miss hearing his voice on the air. :(

He is an absolute solid spiritual theologian/ teacher/ Pastor that every man who spoke up about him at the funeral says a lot about RC as a Godly man & his character. He was a true & faithful servant of God. He truly laid his life for God and defended the Gospel & well accomplished Gods sovereign purpose for his own. “Well done good and faithful servant.”
This funeral was well put together. Well done to everyone involved who put together a beautiful memorial service for RC! He would have loved it and loved to have see it too. I know I am late to see this, but I do hope Vesta & her family are doing great with life today(12/16/24) as RC would have wanted all for everyone to move forward knowing that those who are saved and loved RC Sproul will get to see him again. That’s a joyful HOPE we can lean on because of Jesus Christ. I thank God a million times over that He sent His son to die on the cross to save His people to have eternal life with Him one day.
A memory of RC will live on forever and honored by all who have known RC. Glory & Praises to God for RC’s life who has impacted millions of converted Christians 🤍🙏🏼 what a beautiful impact he left behind for everyone to continue to live through his teachings so that more people can come & know Christ for who He is & to have an eternal life together with Him.
I believe RC will be remembered in the same way Spurgeon and Edwards are today

I first began listening to RC more than 20 years ago when I would catch him on a radio station in the Atlanta area and what a blessing his teachings were to me. Thank you Heavenly Father for the gift of RC to all of us.

I still listen to R.C daily as if he still on earth. He is a Blessing, I love hearing him preaching.

We lost a giant in the faith! He now sits with Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Edwards, Spurgeon etc. at the feet of our KING and Savior! No longer teaching, but learning.
I have always admired R.C. Sproul and found his work to always speak the truth in love. One memory in particular sticks with me, that when I was about 16, I stayed home from church as I was sick, and I watched an R.C. teaching video we have, and he was talking about in Isaiah where the angels are singing, "Holy, holy, holy" to God, and R.C.'s points there just brought me to tears as I realized that such a holy God loved me personally and deeply, and I was unworthy of that love, but oh so grateful for it. I thank God for men like R.C.
I just discovered r c sprouls teachings a couple months ago. God has greatly used this man to help me more than I could ever say. Truly a man called by God. I thank the Lord and saviour for RC. May God continue to use his preaching to touch lives and change hearts.

R.C Sproul was a true man of God. God has used his teachings to help me come on leaps and bounds in understanding his word.
I just found our that he died. He never saw me, and don't know who I am, but he is my teacher. My tears runs down my cheeks.

@@MAZZAR0TH To earnestly desire the things of God is certainly no bad thing according to scripture. Indeed, it should be encouraged. God's Word testifies to this from Genesis to Revelation. More pertinent to you might be God's condemnation of pettiness, haughtiness and unnecessary divisiveness among the brethren. A broader use of the term "envy" should be applied in this particular context rather than proof-texting in an attempt to use scripture as a club to beat someone up with. It's both infantile and superficial. Christ condemned the pharisees for that very sin.
A giant of a man. Fearless, really funny, and a great defender of Scripture and the holiness of God. Not Scripture as we want it to be, but Scripture as it is. Not the God some wish existed, but the One who truly exists.

I came to know about RC after his passing, and I will always feel indebted to his obedience in serving the Lord and encouraging so many brothers and sisters in Christ!
Well, having just seen this, I can't but leave my own appreciation post, experience and happiness through the life, teaching and truth of the Gospel taught and thoroughly exposited by the Man of God, Robert Charles Sproul. He's helped me a great deal in the understanding of the Bible, the very difficult parts, and even some teachings, that had I not been open-minded to learn, I would have scoffed at, but thank God I did humble my mind to learn and been seriously blessed and made aware of the profound truth embedded in the Scriptures. God be with you till we meet again, dear brother. To God alone be the glory now and forevermore.
I came to the states some 34 years ago and for many years a listened a seeked to the teaching of many preachers but when I listened to Dr. Sproul preached I rejoyced with excitment and I listened to that sermon some seven or eight times trying to capture every word so profound and so full of life that I felt my heart, soul and spirit revigorized and even though I never had the chance to meet him in person, I will continue in the pursue of engaging into his deep teaching thru his sermons as my soul so much needs it. I Believed upon the Name of the Lord in 2005.
The first church I attended was a church that was & is still caught up in the Charismatic,Prosperity movement.
I started to feel as something was not right, I believe the Holy Spirit was tugging at my Heart.
So started my journey as a Christian,seeking the Truth.
I would listen to the radio & came across R.C. Sproul's teaching of the Word of God & scripture on Ligonier.
I Received his book on the Holiness of God.
Lets just just say this was the beginning of my pilgrimage. Through R.C. Sproul I was also introduced to John Macarthur,Al Mohler & so many great teachers that so,Love & preached the Word of God.
So much more to share, but I to will miss R.C. Thanks for being there & leading the way for the Fight for True Biblical Theology on the inerrancy of the word of God.

Wow, I knew I’d well up, i wish I had hear he speak! The Holiness of God of the first book I read after leaving the cult of JWs. It opened my eyes, The Holy Spirit lead me to Jesus via RC. God bless him. Since then the veil has dropped from my eyes and I’m trying to get the rest of my family to leave this cult and to come to the real truth of the real gospel.

I didn't know he had passed away. I have been watching alot of his videos and clips and have learned so much about God! I'm sad he's not here to continue to teach people. I really admired him!
I watched the whole thing a couple days ago, and once again to listen to Sinclair Ferguson. I had tears the first time I heard him speak. I have never heard a message and penetrate to the depths of my soul. I have been longing to hear something like this that could grip me in a spiritual way and cause me to question what I have been listening to and to whom I have been listening to. I got saved in 2005, and it was just recently I feel like I have been renewed, renewed with the real truth of God, his Son, and his Spirit. What John MacArthur said ("this is the greatest time in the history of the church for the expansion of sound doctrine. The truth is captured in the doctrines of grace and reformed theology") is absolutely right. It is time for sound doctrine to come out of pulpits rather than opinions and ramblings. I hope that pastors look to RC as an example and defend faith, especially in this time.

i am enjoying to listen to pastor R.C. sermon. he is introducing Jesus Christ to me very easily and kindly. Absolutely he is a man of Jesus Christ.
I just watched the Memorial of R.C. Sproul and I couldn't held my tears. He was exceptionally gifted as a Theologian, Preacher, Teacher, among other wonderful qualities. But nothing to be sorry about his departure, he is in much better place with our Lord and Saviour and this is forever.

I knew sadly that he had passed away, but I just today watched his memorial service. I have watched so many teachings he gave and especially loved the question and answer conferences. What a sense of humor and a great love for our Lord!! I was feeling very sad that he is gone from earth, then a revelation: I will see him in Heaven one day! He is one person I want to personally meet(besides God of course). I want to tell him how much I enjoyed his stories and loved to listen to the Word through him. I also liked that he didn't believe in the pre-tribulation rapture! I believe we will be here in the tribulation, but not alone, Jesus will help us through it. A part of me wanted to meet him here, but I can wait till Heaven!
What a magnificent celebration of the life of RC Sproul! Many tears were shed and I am eternally grateful to live in this age to have access to his teachings and his memorial service. The giants of my faith were very gracious and loving in their thoughts of him. But as RC always preached "To God Be the Glory. "

A little over one year after my conversion to life in Christ (1986), I was introduced to RC through the series "The Cross of Christ". I was set on a course of study that brought me to the Reformed/Biblical faith. That was the beginning of the next 34 years of growing in Grace. RC has continued to teach me and I bless God for him.

I just happened to stumble across this video. I knew he wasn't well; just not THAT bad off! God has called another of his followers and teachers home. I spent many a night, for the past 3 years, listening to his teachings at my graveyard shift job. I will miss hearing his voice on the air. :(
