Awesome, thanks. December, January, and February are the best months to go. I have done the Miami to Key West ride 3 times. This video was the first one.

Thank you for checking it out. I've done Key West ride in two years in row and this video is actually from 2020. But 2021 I took different route to get to the Keys, both times were fun. Thanks. 👍
I ride my specialized Rubiux on 28mm Gatorskins and have never had a flat. That is good you are rolling along flat free. That is a great ride. Longest ride I have done is NJ to Washington DC over 4 days. Nice job on this safe riding and a big thumbs up from a small content creator and supporter.
Wow, how beautiful! Nice riding. My husband and I just got back from Key West. We absolutely love it! Brought our pontoon and made it out to the reef to snorkel.
Keys are beautiful and exploring it on a bike is a great way. I'm planning actually another ride from Miami to Key West end of this year. I want to have more time and explore on a way. But next week I'm heading to west coast of Florida to ride Sarasota and Fort Myers area and explore Sanibel Island on my bike. Thank you for watching, much appreciated. 😊👍

@@brendenbenoit7539 Actually shoulder is pretty wide always. As long as you make yourself visible there are no worries. Also, there is a bike trail, Overseas Heritage Trail which takes you completely out of traffic. Nice ride! You made that look easy... I am pretty sure that was a Great Egret and not a Great Blue Heron (no blue coloring in the feathers). Beautiful bird and awesome capture of him with the fish!
This was my Dec 2000 ride. I did the same Miami to Key West ride in December 2001 but chose different route to get to Key Largo. I have videos of this ride too. At this time I went by South Miami back roads to get to the Key Largo. This was Great Blue Heron (white morph) not Great Egret. Notice heavier darker bill, not orange like Great Egret would have. And flesh colored legs Great Egret has black legs. White morph(all white) Great Blue Herons are common in Florida Keys. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊

Hi Thomas . I'm planning to do the Miami to Key West ride . Which way would you recommend taking from Homestead to Key Largo , Us Hwy 1 or Card Sound Rd as per Google ?
Most people take Hwy 1 if coming from Homestead. Google recommends other way but Hwy 1 has wide shoulder. Card Sound Rd has no shoulder, but less traffic. I felt pretty safe on Hwy 1. Next week I'm planning another ride from Miami to Key West and at this time I'm going by different route skipping Homestead all together and going partly by Card Sound Rd to Key Largo east end, not sure yet how what to expect but I'll find out.
