- Chad rides the updated Ducati Panigale V4s, how much better or faster is it than the current Panigale? Ducati supplies Chad with his own technician to help get the most for the electronics.

I would only ride this on Sunday, carry a bottle of detail spray, an ultra soft microfiber, and just talk to it and tell it bedtime stories in my living room. 👍🤤
The style has grown on me. I feel like Ducati is changing slightly by moving to an emphasis on function over form. We saw it with the Monster changes and some of the iconic design forms of the past. It’s bittersweet but probably necessary to stay on par with the competition.
All true BUT…that new monster has not grown on me one bit 😢 It is the most generic looking ducati ever made
@@johnlaw5762 With the exception of it being red and fast all of the Ducatiness is gone. I will stay with my 2015 1299s.
@@P.DuncanMonk single sided swimgarm for life 👌🏼
The new Diavel V4 looks horrible.
4 seconds faster! Function over form. Beautiful
Ducati always seem to be one development cycle ahead of everyone else.
Such a magnificent looking machine. ❤
Me thanks
The detailing and machining on the swingarm are exquisite.
The REAL question, Is it finally quicker then Zack & Ari’s legendary old 2005 Gsxr 1000? 😂
I was thinking the exact same thing😂
They should do a re-test and see how Dave the Gixxer stacks up! 😄
True True
@@HeyAddieImTojo they will do the part two for sure...
Bro, I was literally about to write that, I have found my people ❤
Hopefully will have mine by beginning of March. At my age, may well be my last superbike before I accept the world of adventure bikes for the rest of my life, but having had an unbroken stream of Ducatis since my very first in 2001 (a 996), gonna give it one last lash before I do! 😉
How old are you then?
@@Ukmongoose3 Probably in his 30's 😖
@@Lar308 Hahahahahahaha, brilliant.
Really nice technical breakdown of the new upgrades. 44Teeth had some lovely footage but were a bit light on the nitty gritty stuff.
Absolutely stunning work🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks
Ducati has given their every bits of styling on their superbikes for the past decade and i think this new Panigale looks stunning, it may look weird without the single sided swing arm, but looking at the MotoGP Desmosidici racebikes its clear why Ducati choose to go with this set up and looks...
I just hope this bike translates to winning in next season WSBK...
Stunning looking bike... 🔥🔥🔥
I think it's still gorgeous.
thanks
@Chad76Media You're welcome. Still life left in the old hips yet 😉.
If you have an open chequebook, a part time super job with an open track day ticket, plus a true actual decent skill set then yup go for it, but for the average its just beyond in every sense, other than for the flex, its all rather academic, although I am really glad they are still making these coz f@ck electric!!!
That's the whole point but .. They're easier to ride for everyone. Not just the fast
Chad gets an office chair to sit on, Neeves had to make to with a step on the fire escape
ducati said fck the new design and improve youre skills 😂
People who buy Ducati, they preferred both style and performance, What do they choose now looks or performance. This bike leans towards more of performance upgrade than visual appeal.
i think performance doesn't escape the eye.
Adam 'This is not a holiday' Child
*FOUR* seconds???? Holy shit.......
58'000 AUD dollars lol Ducatis having a laugh 🤭
Where did u get 58k from?? I seen them priced at $49,000 for the v4s
Marc Marquez approved 😂❤❤
Ducati done it right 👍
Just got a new s1k m package and all that… seen this bike in the dealer cheaper it caught my eye but the bmw I like the look better…. I think I just have to get one to experience the differences…
That’s an interesting question! Will there be more spacecraft wings added?
You ride like an old timer racer. Body above the steering handle instead of body besides the tank. 😊
I thought double sided swingarms were always lighter than single sided
The swingarm itself is lighter in the single sided one, but the beefier axle to hold the wheel, the bearings, and the complicated chain adjuster is what made it slightly heavier.
Nice ! I really like the new swingarm- the cut outs look good, the whole appearance is fantastic. I seem to remember Honda had a similar cut out section swingarm on their CBR’s …. Must work !
Thanks for review, looks epic. My only worry is whilst it might make me quicker on track, I’d be so devastated if I slid off it, I’d probably ride slower than on an older, much cheaper bike. 1st world problems eh?! 😊
That's one reason why I couldn't buy one. I can afford to buy it but I can't afford to crash it on track 😂
Gteat holiday. With the engineers rider aids is it fun or a disconnected experience? Like a modern sports car.
Let's all nitpick a bike we can't ever afford
So Chris Eades from 44T did a 1.44.44, nearly a second faster. Quite surprising seeing as he’s not really a racer/ex-racer.
really?
For the next "stars of UA-cam" moto-review invite, can you convince the manufacturer for you all to compete in a MotoGP adjudicated sprint race? Maybe with a bike that costs 4k...
Could you imagine the carnage! 🤣
It looks better. Although I don't think I will ever like the winglets, no matter what shape.
All of this is just entertainment because it's the equivalent in the car world to a Koenigsegg or Bugatti or Aston Martin hyper vehicle that only a tiny few can afford (or utilize even 50% of), have any pavement to stretch it on, can store it without theft, and can cover insurance.
I think some motorcycle companies have crossed over the line, finally, of "using technology to create problems" instead of solve them.
The reason? Bureaucratic regulations have created the "space" within which manufacturers are forced to operate and be profitable: aka....increase technological costs, without significantly changing the product in any fundamental way.
I'm still waiting for the flying car or motorcycle that doesn't need a track or roads, runs on hydrogen, nuclear power, and anti-gravity tech. Seems that would solve a heap of problems instead of create them.
Is a race track chads happy place? Chris oftens says how he loves the dodgy twisties with narly shit growing through it and he shines riding those kind of roads but where is chad happiest?
THE PANIHONDA!!!
Make a bike so fast, powerful and dangerous you have to put in electronics to stop your punters killing themselves .. pretty and pointless.. I’m sure it’s great round the dales! I quit on sports bike a long time ago, I do (very) occasionally miss track days at Brands I must admit..
Wow
I so badly wanted to see average reviews on the bike. But everyone bloody one has nothing but glowing reviews..... anyone want to buy my 2019 v4s its for sale now...
😂 same
hmm - DVO while a tech marvel, it is something I dont want on my bike - I would like to learn and learn and try to tame the moster,
The front is strange
No potentiometer!! What are Ducati thinking ? 😱
916 Look 😂😂😂😂 they wish. Lessons learned from the 999 😢
RC46 x 2007 RC212V
So, let me get this straight: you need your own telemetrician in the box in order to be able to extract all the juice on the bike? Or is it to demonstrate how good the bike with respect to the previous one (i.e., the differences are not that notable)? I think that this was a slopy stunt by a marketing boss in Ducati... This bike should be OBVIOUSLY AND UNDENIABLY faster than the previous one EVEN WITHOUT your own telemetrician (and that's why they charge you 30,000 GBPs for it, by the way)!
Seriously I have to trade in my 2024 v4s with 600 miles on it for a 2025. WTF
For 30k I would hope so lol
as great as these bikes look, handle and deliver it seems that all manufacturers seems to have forgotten that your average road rider isn't a racer or a journalist,...overpriced for for 85% of us and stuffed with rider aids normal users will never need,...a bid sad to be honest. i think back to the days you had your choice of 916's , blades, gixxers and Kawa's for everybody to buy and enjoy,...
I don't think the V4 series has ever been aimed at your average road rider, these are essentially homologated race bikes for the street. Same goes for the M1000RR etc. It's overpriced for you and me sure but the bike was never built for us. It was built for your club racer who wants something that is the peak performance for a track capable bike.
I'm not sure about the looks, Its just block paint red, where's the gold, where's the flair the old bikes had. If you want unusable power but great looks, just get an MV.
what happened to chads hair ?
What hair? 😂
I'm now officially old
44 did 44.44
So tired of hearing the excuse about bringing the MotoGP derived DSSA and calling it a revelation. It's simple logic DSSA performs better than SSSA. People who spend that kind of money for a Ducati is generally looking for more aesthetics than function. It's like people come in to buy a Lambo, but you tell them a Turbo S is a better performing "functional" car. Same with the Monster, when you take away that iconic trellis frame, there is absolutely no reason to it anymore because every brand sells the same similar-looking naked bikes already.
This looks like a chinese replica or a chinese toy of panigale v4. Also, the TFT screen here looks flimsy. 2022 v4 will be and always be in my dreams, no matter who says. You cannot convince me that this looks better than previous gen
interesting
Agree in part 👍 I actually like the swing arm. The plastic looks cheap and shiney 🤮 at the end of the day it is a track bike, so , lap times is all that matters 🤷♂️
I don’t particularly like any sports bike, they all necessarily (aeros) look kind of identical, much plastic..meh.
Then again i don’t track.
I bought a SFV4s in grey. Full bonkers/naked Pani, but, in my opinion better tuned for the road, looks FAR better/better finish/like Batman’s bike 😂
In fairness, of all the sports bikes for the road, the Pani isn’t too bad. It’s roomy, ergos are OK for slightly longer in the saddle(I’d still not want to do a 6 hour day on her unlike my SFV4).
If you’re a track monkey then shaving a FULL SECOND of a lap time is insanely good. So horses for courses. I think a lot of people forget though that on the road it makes ZERO difference… I mean when you have north of 170ho on any modern bike you’re talking a second in lap times difference, yes on track that’s great, on the road no one gives a shit if you got to the coffee shop 0.67 seconds faster than your mate 😂 ☕️
Fell asleep during the technical description. So much to go wrong. I will stick with my GSXR 1000k5.
Was I boring? K5 is a good bike
@@Chad76Media nah review was fine. Ducati want to beat that current BMW in WSBK.
@@Chad76Media sorry Chad it's literally overload of information I just want to ride a bike..
Modern stuff is Insanely fast etc
It's me getting older and bikes no longer are bikes that we can work on ourselves.
No disrespect.
@@widowmakerv2 no need to apologise. And stay with the K5 good bike
If Zack and Ari couldn't beat a k5 gixxer with the last one, I hope this one can at least keep up. It would be really sad to see it get washed by an old gixxer again😂
That test was more a case of not throwing an expensive ducati down the road v pushing hard on an old bike that if u crashed who cares.. only need to look at any race track lap times to see how much faster they are going on modern bikes..
Ducati are destroying wsbk and moto GB,, they are on their peek era
Lost its beauty
The fact that the entire video is dedicated to "data" and "Electronics" makes it sooo boring. It's clearly a phenomenal machince but realistically .5% of the biking world will ever have the talent toactually reap any benefit at all.
HOW does it look like a 916?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?. I'm sure he's just regurgitating the PR with that comment. It looks literally nothing like a 916.
AMAZING bike I'm sure but well and truly beyond my level (and most others)
Ducati is having a BMW moment. Not pretty
Why are all the english riders pensioners?
Harsh - experienced.
& why do they all say ‘swinging arm’? it’s Swing arm!
Probably because our younger generation have been brought up in a nannied state. They prefer hipster bikes and keeping it safe and vanilla.
Whereas Chad and Neevesey honed their skills on 90s superbikes and still kick ass 👍
@@drewiediggler1 I try and kick ass
😂 amen Bro @@drewiediggler1
0.7 secs faster than previous (gamechanger) to 3% of ducati owners. 😅
9:00 Chad said he was _four seconds_ a lap quicker on this bike over the previous '22 model. The 0.7 seconds was the difference between the '22 model and _its_ predecessor.
@@luddite6239 I was quicker, but must remember rubber has improved, and I might be a bit faster. But it's certainly faster
I own and race a Ducati V4 so appreciate the video but this is an advertisement video and not an independent review. Ducati brings in many people and they all say the same thing…which is what Ducati tells them to say. That being the case, I always take the reviews with a grain of salt.
What else do you expect for a few hours on track, we can only tell you the info Ducati are giving us, do you not understand the concept of a launch first ride? Also, we don’t call it a review, first ride, big difference.
First thought upon release, yuk- horrible-!ugly- it’ll never sell on looks alone.
Month later, wow!!!
It’s soooo grown on me…. on the tech front- Ducati have just wiped the floor with all.
It Simply doesnt make any sense..
99% of the people who buy this bike won't have a clue how to use all that functionality or 50% of the power. For the price a Ducati technician should be included in the sale. If this new model is for homologation purposes (which imo it is, because of the DSS) it makes sense. Otherwise utterly pointless. Good looking machine though 👍
Homologation for what, exactly? It's 1100cc.
There is people who can afford 30k for this years toy and there is those that say they can’t ride them properly
You could apply that logic to any litre superbike of the last 15+ years. 99% of riders aren't gonna use all that power where they do the majority of their riding and unless you're a club racer or a pro rider you aren't really gonna notice the difference on the track either.
Fifty grand for this ….
£50k, £100k?…
£30,000
@@Chad76Media so not exactly cheap then 😊
@@justsmashing4628 no. But is a Ducati superbike
@@Chad76Media what it is, is a small house on a Greek island 😀
I reckon it looks ugly 🤷♂️
I don't like the direction modern bikes are going, too many electronics and rider aids, eventually bikes will be able to ride themselves, which will be boring, I want to control the bike myself, I don't want some computer second guessing everything I do..
You cannot control over 200hp motorcycles you
@@Decki777 Sure you can
