So many kits, so little time. That's what I think when I see a haul like this! Although I'm not much different. I have a few coming to me too. Nice toolbox!
LOL! 100% agree but I surely won't be lacking for things to tinker one for the next year or so. Of course I am going to add to it once new kits come out as well. It is a blessing and a curse but I am not going to complain. I just need that lottery money so I can pay others to do the tedious things like remodel our bathroom and such LOL!! The little toolbox is really neat and a nice place to store the things you need often but not all the time. I have most of those in the tool stands.
I am hopefully the TL01 pairs with the Subbie well. It is one of my favorite rally bodies they make. Buyee is a slippery slope, I am quickly sinking into it! LOL! There are constantly new things showing up so once you get it sorted there will be plenty to look through!
I think I did pretty well this time around with it! I have so many things to get to now. I never in a million years would have thought I would have more cars to be built and restored/rebuilt than I did when I started the channel!!! The Shadow is going to look epic once it has its new body on there!! It should be here soon but that global outage on Friday has a lot of shipments delayed. No rush as I am already way behind on getting things done!

Thanks Craig, I did pretty well on this haul. It is a dangerous site as I am well and truly backlogged but I cannot stay off of it! LOL! The little tool box works really well for the miscellaneous bits I use a lot but not each and every time and it helps clear up that really cluttered drawer!
LOL! I saved so much money by spending so much money! LOL! The Kyosho Shadow covered the shipping so that made it so much better. I was surprised to see another one listed here on eBay for $279 so that further justified my ridiculous spending! I cannot wait until the body shows up, I want to see it mostly complete. I need to figure out a diver figure/chsssis cover for it. I think that may a challenge to find. I am hoping I can mod a Thunder Shot one one in there for now.

Thanks Joe! It takes a lot of scrolling through to find things sometimes. I have found simple searches and lots of scrolling through things is the best way to find things. Also most auction are only 3-5 days usually so things come and go quickly. I miss the end of a lot of auctions I am just watching so if there is anything you are interested in I found it is best to go ahead and put in your max amount bid and see what happens. Like any auction site it is a bit of a game.

Oh yeah once I get the body done on it I will make a dedicated video for it. I have a about 6 priority projects at the moment time for maybe one but I will get to it LOL!!! It is a good problem to have though so I am not complaining.

Thank Dirk! The little tool box is both cute/funny and functional! It is handy to have everything within arms reach and also to clear out stuff from the drawer beside me, that was getting overloaded with stuff but it is so convenient! Lots of cool stuff and I Blazing Star will get a new body and decals along with a full tear down and rebuild eventually. I will get the body and decals ordered so they will be on hand when the time comes!
There is a lot of deals to be had but there are some that are still outrageous! Overall you have to play the game to get the kits for cheap so the shipping is worth it and combining multiple auction wins into one shipment is key too. Not really cost effective when shipping only one thing. Now there are different shipping methods that are a bit cheaper. I have used EMS and the Fedex express and have been happy with both. I will probably stick with the Fedex as it is cheaper and still gets here in about 4 days after shipping.
I was really glad they were able to cram it all into the one box, it was at maximum capacity for sure! Yes, to buy all that new, or even on eBay would have been loads more! I was surprised to see that eBay had a list for a Shadow in almost the same condition as the one I got and it was $279!!! It is going to look so cool once I can get the body on there, it is on its way from Canada still. I am loaded up with projects for sure. My first order is to get the DT02 speed run buggy checked out and ready to go. I have a 6500KV brushless motor showing up today (hopefully) for it. I think it may go fast! LOL!

I was worried the mini was a bit beat up, it kind of looked like it was in rough shape from the photos in the listing but it was just some surface grunge from sitting around in the back of someone's closet for long time! It cleaned up very nice and looks super cool. Pink is not a color I normally would have gone with but getting two new pink cars in this lot has kind of changed my mind! I have definitely gotten bitten by the Buyee bug!! LOL!
Yeah, it was a pretty good haul this time and I was able to get some cool stuff for great deals! I think I have a cool idea for the TT02B buggy but that will take some more thought but what is in my head looks pretty cool! Take care Steve!

I really like it too, it is not a color I would grab off the shelf to paint with but it looks pretty slick on this one! I was very happy the body cleaned up nicely as well!

Yes, it can be treacherous for the bank account! LOL! There is so much stuff listed on there and once you buy one thing then you need to buy 2 or 3 or more things to justify the shipping. I did really well on this one, the Kyosho Shadow covered the cost of the shipping on this one so the rest of it all was super good deals after that! So many projects to complete now. I am buried up to my ears and I love it! LOL! The hard part is figuring what to do first!

Mate i would have absolutely spent that as creator's each video has a budget I'm stuck on that other side you mentioned a thousand average for one car so that car has to be able to make a certain amount of vids to cover it's budget that's why basher are more scarce i only have a few options and there shelf life for vids is somewhat over I'd like more boats but same deal very few vid opportunities but crawlers have umpteenth amounts of vids for each car you just bought how many vids for $30 each is a bargain, and a bonus vid unboxing it all I'm literally on google now I'll need to add something new soon but ouch prices are scary .... i finished the other vid at home on the weekend so much i could comment I'd like to see the blazing blazer come back aswell that was an awesome looking truck take care mate 👊

This one was a great haul and I did very well! So many great things packed into one box, I do have to say I don't think they could have stuffed another thing in there! It was packed with master Jenga skills! Lots of cool projects for sure! I go the Shadow body and will be getting that painted and decaled soon!
Awesome haul! Especially the Shadow, I’d never heard of this one before and your one is in perfect shape! Regarding the tyres, you could try venting them using a sharp object which would allow air in and they should go back to their original shape.👍👍
Thanks! I did pretty well with this lot! The Shadow was a great find and for one heck of a deal! I am looking forward to getting the body on it whenever it gets here! On the old tires you have to be fairly careful about introducing failure points. Thankfully these do feel very soft for their age but what starts as a small hole can become a big crack or tear a few years down the road. I do appreciate the idea. Right now it is up on the car stand with the dents down hoping that gravity can help reverse what it did in the first place! LOL!! I am in no rush so I will give them some time to relax and then go from there if more is needed. It would be great if they were not glued, a foam insert would have solved the issue super fast.
I love the Sand Vipers wheels and tires. Would love to get a set of those for one of my many Grasshoppers. Will they fit on them by chance? And if so where can i get some? Great video and i am very scared to go on Buyee now lol.
I am sure that they could fit on the hopper. I would have to see what wheel hub you would need to change from the big sprocket style of the hopper to the 12mm hex the Sand Viper uses. I think all you need would be the standard 12mm wheel hex to mount up the rears. The fronts will fit on there no problem. Tamiya USA is one of the better places to get the wheels and tires from. Their parts are regular priced, their kits are sold at MSRP so way more expensive than most places.

Thanks! I did really well on this haul. I got the body for the Shadow painted, I just need to get the decals cut and put on. It will get its own video once the body is done. The Kyosho kits tend to be a bit more pricey but they are wonderful kits, you should add one at some point. Buyee is great but I get in trouble there! Actually got another, smaller box delivered today from there. Not a huge haul, another Kyosho kit in there though! Take care and have a wonderful weekend coming up, only one more day!

Thanks Glenn, I think I did pretty well on this one! The Sand Viper got torn down quickly and inspected yesterday. It will be going back together today and get the electronics in it. I have a 6500KV motor to cram in there hopefully and see if it takes flight or not! LOL! I really do love the mini, it is not a color I would normally go for, neither was the coral pink of the super fighter g but both of them look really cool. Thankfully the mini was just a bit dirty from sitting around in the back of someone's closet for a long time. It cleaned up really nice and looks almost brand new now! I will be on the lookout for your video coming up. I know very little about the M-chassis cars, this is my second one but I had a blast with the M-05 so I am sure this is just as fun! If you go to Buyee expect to spend more money and to have to find room for at least 4 more projects! LOL!!!

I am super stoked to have gotten this. I put in my "max bid" number (I might have gone a little higher) and a day or two later I get an email saying I won. I was floored to see it was under $100. I am telling you, other than the flat spots on the tires it looks like it was built yesterday. There is not even dust on it from sitting on a shelf. Makes me really wonder what happened to the body! The TBG body should be here soon and I can get it finished off. Would you paint it the blue box art or the black, I like both but I am leaning towards the black as the yellow decals really pop against the black!
@@AddamsPlayground put a motor in it and balloon the tires a bit, that should take care of the flat spots since they’re glued, then your yoga block storage should prevent it from happening again.

@@Geo_art_RC it is not the easiest to figure out! I created my account and linked my PayPal to it. Mostly I just watched auctions for a while to figure out how they went and then bit the bullet and started bidding.
@@Geo_art_RC I have to order most of my stuff as my LHS mainly sells.bashers and crawlers so not many options for Tamiya kits there. They usually have a couple TT02 kits but nothing else really for building kits, all RTR stuff.
It really is! Other than the tires having flat spots it looks like it was built yesterday. I am not exaggerating at all either, there is no dust in any crack or corner of it. It will be back once the body gets here and I can get it painted!

The Shadow was one heck of a score and I am just waiting for the body to show up from Team Blue Groove. I think it is going to look fantastic! I need to figure out the cockpit cover/driver figure for it. I am sure that may be kind of hard to track down so I may end up using a modified thundershot one if it will work. I will have to take a look and see if it will or not until I can find the correct Kyosho one.

I think I did pretty well this time around with the buys! The color of the mini is not a go-to one for me but I do like it and I love the idea of a pink panther driver figure in there! That might have to happen! The Kyosho Shadow is going to look super sweet once that body shows up (and I get time to get it painted). The speed run Sand Viper got torn down and inspected yesterday will be going back together today with the electronics. It should be a zippy little thing! The home repairs seem to take so much longer to get done the older I get! I estimate the time it is going to take like I am still in my 20s but my knees and my back firmly remind me I am almost 50 and the 20s are long gone! I got the speed run buggy pretty much ready to go, just need to take it somewhere to try it out! The remodel is still ongoing, working on the trim and now into the hallway. I can say I am definitely not in my 20s anymore, this stuff is kicking my butt!
Wow, that was a lot for the money and it made you happy. You remodeled your bathroom. You may have to add an addition for your your Buyer projects. I am just kidding. I like the TL01's. They are extremely durable and they were great for people getting started in r/c back then. It's also interesting that the MF01X looks similar to a TL01. Good luck in that speed challenge by the way.

I joked with my wife about adding some shelves in our bedroom for some cars to go on display and I got no answer but a very hard glare so I will stick to remodeling what she wants done first! LOL! I'll find room for them in my areas of the house! LOL! I have a TL01B and a TL01B clone but this is my first car version. Same thing but shorter arms really. I figured I had the rally body coming so why not find a chassis for it to go on hopefully. It worked out perfectly! A few additional parts and I can get the other one going as well but need to inspect it before going down that road. I was hoping the MF01X would get here but the global outage on Friday messed up shipping through UPS so it go delayed until Monday. I look forward to that build as I have not built that chassis yet. @@AddamsPlayground There are some interesting bodies for the MF01X. You got love Tamiya names. I follow Rivera RC and he is going to enter that speed challenge. He has interesting body. Even though it's a reproduction it's suppose to be legal. Aerodynamics might be important. Craig from RC-TNT got a shipping container to store his cars.

For such a cheap and basic chassis it really does drive well, seems fairly tough, and is very easy to work on. The Kyosho shadow is intriguing, and one I'm not familiar with..... that definitely deserves a video in its own right, I'm interested in learning more! But, the icing on the cake is that MO3 mini..... Delightful!! 😍 These are getting very rare now in good condition, and I'm quite embarrassed to admit that I actually really like it in that pink colour!! Yeah, it is easy to go straight down the rabbit hole with this app. I am going to have to chill out as there is just way too much stuff to do and I have at least a years worth of content to get to still! I need to do more building and driving than shopping! LOL! It is hard not to when there are so many deals out there! When I found the super fighter g buggy I was like "there is my speed run car" but then I found the sand viper cheap but had already won the other and said "that looks like that is going to be my new speed run car and I have issues"! They are great buggies and run really well! Some parts are getting harder to find over here but TBH that is fairly normal for us! The Shadow was the big win and the body should be here anytime now. I am looking forward to getting that one finished and it will get a full video on it and I will share as much as I know about it! The little mini was great, I was not keen on the pink until I got it in my hands and now I kind of love it! In the pics in the auction it looked a bit worn out and torn up but it was all just surface grunge. It all wiped right off and it looks great now! I am happy I went ahead and took the chance on it! Last Can you tell me more about the motor in the first RC car other than it's a black end bell I'm curious what brand name and turns if it's a sealed end bell To remove flat spots Make sure that when you set it up off of the tires the flat spots are pointed down and let gravity do the work You need to point out the shirt you're wearing they're very funny
The older Mabuchi RS540 motors from Tamiya had the black plastic end cap on them. The earliest ones had a thick white end cap on them and then they went to a thinner white and then to mostly the black plastic ones. Later on, no sure which year, they went to the stamped metal end cap they are still using today. In the mix of the plastic end cap era they did have Johnson motors as well. They look almost identical but have the marking on the shaft end of the can saying Johnson stamped into the case. They are all the stock 27t and sealed motors. I have the Shadow up on one of the foam car stands now with the dents facing down like you suggested, I hope they end up popping back out. The rubber still fell soft and flexible so they should! I don't even think about the shirts I am wearing other than a quick check I don't have a strain on them before recording LOL!! I am glad you got a giggle out of it!
Ha Buyee is your new addiction 😂. I just got back from Japan today and I went to multiple shops and could not find your wheels and tyres. I did get the Candy Geen Grasas mentioned and tones of hop ups both from Tamiya and Eagle Racing. So on the weekend be busy doing mods and a build.
Yes, somewhat it has become the new addiction. It is too easy to lay in bed and scroll through hundreds of listing every night to find cool stuff! LOL! @AddamsPlayground no worries. I was happy to look while I'm there, but it's like a hens tooth. The green hopper looks nice and not very common as it's the 2005 re-re. I would have brought more but just had one bag and was hoping to fill the wife's bag too, but the wife's like to shop also 😅

LOL! It was one of my daily cups of tea! I have a a spice Chai and a pumpkin spice (I know, totally basic) almost every day! They are Starbuck's style, just plain tea with honey in it. It had been sitting there for so long I assumed it had cooled off a lot but nope, still plenty hot! LOL! I had to leave that part in.
I knew it was pink but boy is it a pinky pink!! LOL! I assumed from the pics it was going to be a bit banged up but it was just surface grunge and it all cleaned up really nice. I got to get some electronics in there and see it tootle around a parking lot at some point!
You definitely got some interesting items. I love the part where you said eBay was evil bay. My favorite out of everything you obtained has to be the kyosho buggy. I do have a question with the buyee app. How did that work with the shipping since you purchased items from different sellers. I know with eBay you pay the cost and shipping to individual sellers. Thanks, there was a lot f cool stuff packed into that one box! They Kyosho Shadow was the big win for me and I am really wanting that body to show up so I can get it done. The one thing I do love about Buyee is the way the auctions work is you win the auction and then the item is shipped to their warehouse where it is store for free for 30 days. That initial shipping is part of the auction win price, you have the time price, the Taxes if applicable and a small shipping fee of 500 Yen (roughly $3.25). Once it at their warehouse you can keep winning items and it is all stored until you have enough to consolidate and then they will pack it all into one box and tell you the single delivery price. The fast shipping is not cheap but you learn to compensate your bidding to include that roughly $25-30 per kit when getting a box this big. It is a bit of a game trying to consolidate as much as possible without going over the max single box size! LOL!

Thanks! This one I did very well on! That app is called BUYEE and it spans multiple different auction sites in Japan. You buy through them and the products get shipped to their warehouse and once there you get 30days of free storage. once you get however many items you want then you can consolidate them into one shipment and pay one fee for the pile of stuff to get boxed up and shipped to your home. You need to sign up for an account at buyee and then link a PayPal account or CC for the purchases and shipping charges. It is not like eBay so my suggestion is to watch a bunch of auction and read the details on the auction to get a feel for it for a while before bidding on things. Email me if you have more questions, I am not expert but have used it successfully a few times now! LOL!!

You can imagine my disappointment when I was forced to buy a new one to compete! LOL!! Looking for stuff on Buyee is a lot of scrolling LOL! I make general searches to things like Tamiya RC and Kyosho RC and then scroll through the results. You can search for part numbers for new items sometimes but so far keeping things simple seems to work the best.
Thanks! Lots of cool stuff in there! The tool box was found at my local Lowes. I knew they had them at Christmas time and then they disappeared. I was in there the other day and they had a bunch on display, I assume the leftovers from then and had them on sale for $20. You can check locally and online but I kind of have a feeling these have been stuck in overstock at my store for 6 months and they decided to pull them down and get them out of there.
I was not sure about it but once I saw it in person I do like it a lot. Not normally a color I would go for but it is pretty slick. To nice to shred up on the pavement in a speed run! I will get some shocks and new wheels and tires on it and it will be a great on in the collection. It does need a driver figure as well.
No, I have not heard of that. I have it up on a car stand now with the flat spots on the bottom hoping gravity will take care of it. I can try and warm them up as well to give it a bit of help.
I wonder how hard it would be to 3D scan everything. I think it would be time consuming though. Then someone could 3D print parts that is no longer manufactured anymore. Oh well...
With the right tools I am sure it would be fairly easy to do. having the right tools is the expensive part! I know there are some consumer grade scanners but I am sure there are commercial grade ones that would do a far better job and be more accurate. There are some companies out there doing similar stuff but most are very small scale and the it is a bit of a grey area legally as well. I know Thunder Tiger, the owners of Team Associated are going after some of the manufacturers of these parts currently and I think it stupid and arrogant. If you cannot or will not make replacement parts for your old stuff then let others do it. It was not until they started making money off of it that they decided to go after them. Shameful really....
Thanks! I did pretty good on this round of buyee shopping! Thankfully we do not have the import fees/taxes like a lot of the European countries do. I can see it becoming really expensive if we had to pay those on top of the shipping.
I mean it was a 26lb box that is quite large shipped from Japan to here in under 5 days with no damage at all... I think it is a little pricey but not overly expensive. There are slower and less expensive methods but I would rather pay more and have it handled less. Much less chance of things getting damaged if it is not changing hands a dozen or more times getting here!

LOL! 100% agree but I surely won't be lacking for things to tinker one for the next year or so. Of course I am going to add to it once new kits come out as well. It is a blessing and a curse but I am not going to complain. I just need that lottery money so I can pay others to do the tedious things like remodel our bathroom and such LOL!!
The little toolbox is really neat and a nice place to store the things you need often but not all the time. I have most of those in the tool stands.

I am hopefully the TL01 pairs with the Subbie well. It is one of my favorite rally bodies they make. Buyee is a slippery slope, I am quickly sinking into it! LOL! There are constantly new things showing up so once you get it sorted there will be plenty to look through!

I think I did pretty well this time around with it! I have so many things to get to now. I never in a million years would have thought I would have more cars to be built and restored/rebuilt than I did when I started the channel!!! The Shadow is going to look epic once it has its new body on there!! It should be here soon but that global outage on Friday has a lot of shipments delayed. No rush as I am already way behind on getting things done!

The Kyosho Shadow covered the shipping so that made it so much better. I was surprised to see another one listed here on eBay for $279 so that further justified my ridiculous spending! I cannot wait until the body shows up, I want to see it mostly complete. I need to figure out a diver figure/chsssis cover for it. I think that may a challenge to find. I am hoping I can mod a Thunder Shot one one in there for now.

Thanks Joe! It takes a lot of scrolling through to find things sometimes. I have found simple searches and lots of scrolling through things is the best way to find things. Also most auction are only 3-5 days usually so things come and go quickly. I miss the end of a lot of auctions I am just watching so if there is anything you are interested in I found it is best to go ahead and put in your max amount bid and see what happens. Like any auction site it is a bit of a game.

Thank Dirk! The little tool box is both cute/funny and functional! It is handy to have everything within arms reach and also to clear out stuff from the drawer beside me, that was getting overloaded with stuff but it is so convenient!
Lots of cool stuff and I Blazing Star will get a new body and decals along with a full tear down and rebuild eventually. I will get the body and decals ordered so they will be on hand when the time comes!

We used those loctite sticks at digital delay, but they tended to leak a bit
So far so good with this one. It being in the basement and a pretty consistent temperature it probably helps.

There is a lot of deals to be had but there are some that are still outrageous! Overall you have to play the game to get the kits for cheap so the shipping is worth it and combining multiple auction wins into one shipment is key too. Not really cost effective when shipping only one thing. Now there are different shipping methods that are a bit cheaper. I have used EMS and the Fedex express and have been happy with both. I will probably stick with the Fedex as it is cheaper and still gets here in about 4 days after shipping.

I was surprised to see that eBay had a list for a Shadow in almost the same condition as the one I got and it was $279!!! It is going to look so cool once I can get the body on there, it is on its way from Canada still.
I am loaded up with projects for sure. My first order is to get the DT02 speed run buggy checked out and ready to go. I have a 6500KV brushless motor showing up today (hopefully) for it. I think it may go fast! LOL!

Yes, it can be treacherous for the bank account! LOL! There is so much stuff listed on there and once you buy one thing then you need to buy 2 or 3 or more things to justify the shipping. I did really well on this one, the Kyosho Shadow covered the cost of the shipping on this one so the rest of it all was super good deals after that! So many projects to complete now. I am buried up to my ears and I love it! LOL! The hard part is figuring what to do first!

Mate i would have absolutely spent that as creator's each video has a budget I'm stuck on that other side you mentioned a thousand average for one car so that car has to be able to make a certain amount of vids to cover it's budget that's why basher are more scarce i only have a few options and there shelf life for vids is somewhat over I'd like more boats but same deal very few vid opportunities but crawlers have umpteenth amounts of vids for each car you just bought how many vids for $30 each is a bargain, and a bonus vid unboxing it all I'm literally on google now I'll need to add something new soon but ouch prices are scary .... i finished the other vid at home on the weekend so much i could comment I'd like to see the blazing blazer come back aswell that was an awesome looking truck take care mate 👊

This one was a great haul and I did very well! So many great things packed into one box, I do have to say I don't think they could have stuffed another thing in there! It was packed with master Jenga skills! Lots of cool projects for sure! I go the Shadow body and will be getting that painted and decaled soon!
Awesome haul! Especially the Shadow, I’d never heard of this one before and your one is in perfect shape! Regarding the tyres, you could try venting them using a sharp object which would allow air in and they should go back to their original shape.👍👍
Thanks! I did pretty well with this lot! The Shadow was a great find and for one heck of a deal! I am looking forward to getting the body on it whenever it gets here! On the old tires you have to be fairly careful about introducing failure points. Thankfully these do feel very soft for their age but what starts as a small hole can become a big crack or tear a few years down the road. I do appreciate the idea. Right now it is up on the car stand with the dents down hoping that gravity can help reverse what it did in the first place! LOL!! I am in no rush so I will give them some time to relax and then go from there if more is needed. It would be great if they were not glued, a foam insert would have solved the issue super fast.
I love the Sand Vipers wheels and tires. Would love to get a set of those for one of my many Grasshoppers. Will they fit on them by chance? And if so where can i get some? Great video and i am very scared to go on Buyee now lol.
I am sure that they could fit on the hopper. I would have to see what wheel hub you would need to change from the big sprocket style of the hopper to the 12mm hex the Sand Viper uses. I think all you need would be the standard 12mm wheel hex to mount up the rears. The fronts will fit on there no problem. Tamiya USA is one of the better places to get the wheels and tires from. Their parts are regular priced, their kits are sold at MSRP so way more expensive than most places.

Thanks! I did really well on this haul. I got the body for the Shadow painted, I just need to get the decals cut and put on. It will get its own video once the body is done. The Kyosho kits tend to be a bit more pricey but they are wonderful kits, you should add one at some point. Buyee is great but I get in trouble there! Actually got another, smaller box delivered today from there. Not a huge haul, another Kyosho kit in there though! Take care and have a wonderful weekend coming up, only one more day!

I really do love the mini, it is not a color I would normally go for, neither was the coral pink of the super fighter g but both of them look really cool. Thankfully the mini was just a bit dirty from sitting around in the back of someone's closet for a long time. It cleaned up really nice and looks almost brand new now! I will be on the lookout for your video coming up. I know very little about the M-chassis cars, this is my second one but I had a blast with the M-05 so I am sure this is just as fun!

I am super stoked to have gotten this. I put in my "max bid" number (I might have gone a little higher) and a day or two later I get an email saying I won. I was floored to see it was under $100. I am telling you, other than the flat spots on the tires it looks like it was built yesterday. There is not even dust on it from sitting on a shelf. Makes me really wonder what happened to the body! The TBG body should be here soon and I can get it finished off. Would you paint it the blue box art or the black, I like both but I am leaning towards the black as the yellow decals really pop against the black!
@@AddamsPlayground put a motor in it and balloon the tires a bit, that should take care of the flat spots since they’re glued, then your yoga block storage should prevent it from happening again.

@@Geo_art_RC I have to order most of my stuff as my LHS mainly sells.bashers and crawlers so not many options for Tamiya kits there. They usually have a couple TT02 kits but nothing else really for building kits, all RTR stuff.

The Shadow was one heck of a score and I am just waiting for the body to show up from Team Blue Groove. I think it is going to look fantastic! I need to figure out the cockpit cover/driver figure for it. I am sure that may be kind of hard to track down so I may end up using a modified thundershot one if it will work. I will have to take a look and see if it will or not until I can find the correct Kyosho one.

LOL! I can understand, it was an epic unboxing just like Keith is known for! The little pink Mini was a very pleasant surprise. I thought the body was going to be a bit beat up. It ended up just being mostly all surface grunge that cleaned up very easily and it looks great now and the pink has really grown on me a lot!

I think I did pretty well this time around with the buys! The color of the mini is not a go-to one for me but I do like it and I love the idea of a pink panther driver figure in there! That might have to happen! The Kyosho Shadow is going to look super sweet once that body shows up (and I get time to get it painted). The speed run Sand Viper got torn down and inspected yesterday will be going back together today with the electronics. It should be a zippy little thing! The home repairs seem to take so much longer to get done the older I get! I estimate the time it is going to take like I am still in my 20s but my knees and my back firmly remind me I am almost 50 and the 20s are long gone! I got the speed run buggy pretty much ready to go, just need to take it somewhere to try it out! The remodel is still ongoing, working on the trim and now into the hallway. I can say I am definitely not in my 20s anymore, this stuff is kicking my butt!

They are extremely durable and they were great for people getting started in r/c back then. It's also interesting that the MF01X looks similar to a TL01. Good luck in that speed challenge by the way.

I joked with my wife about adding some shelves in our bedroom for some cars to go on display and I got no answer but a very hard glare so I will stick to remodeling what she wants done first! LOL! I'll find room for them in my areas of the house! LOL!
I have a TL01B and a TL01B clone but this is my first car version. Same thing but shorter arms really. I figured I had the rally body coming so why not find a chassis for it to go on hopefully. It worked out perfectly! A few additional parts and I can get the other one going as well but need to inspect it before going down that road. I was hoping the MF01X would get here but the global outage on Friday messed up shipping through UPS so it go delayed until Monday. I look forward to that build as I have not built that chassis yet. I will get a build video of it together in my normal snapshot style and get that out once it is done.

@@AddamsPlayground There are some interesting bodies for the MF01X. You got love Tamiya names. I follow Rivera RC and he is going to enter that speed challenge. He has interesting body. Even though it's a reproduction it's suppose to be legal. Aerodynamics might be important. Craig from RC-TNT got a shipping container to store his cars.

I've never had one of those before, and only got one in so we could enter the challenge.... but boy I'm impressed with this platform!
For such a cheap and basic chassis it really does drive well, seems fairly tough, and is very easy to work on.
The Kyosho shadow is intriguing, and one I'm not familiar with..... that definitely deserves a video in its own right, I'm interested in learning more!
But, the icing on the cake is that MO3 mini..... Delightful!! 😍
These are getting very rare now in good condition, and I'm quite embarrassed to admit that I actually really like it in that pink colour!!
I have one new in box that I paid a lot of money for.... and am therefore finding it hard to bring myself to build it!

Yeah, it is easy to go straight down the rabbit hole with this app. I am going to have to chill out as there is just way too much stuff to do and I have at least a years worth of content to get to still! I need to do more building and driving than shopping! LOL! It is hard not to when there are so many deals out there!
When I found the super fighter g buggy I was like "there is my speed run car" but then I found the sand viper cheap but had already won the other and said "that looks like that is going to be my new speed run car and I have issues"! They are great buggies and run really well! Some parts are getting harder to find over here but TBH that is fairly normal for us!
The Shadow was the big win and the body should be here anytime now. I am looking forward to getting that one finished and it will get a full video on it and I will share as much as I know about it!
The little mini was great, I was not keen on the pink until I got it in my hands and now I kind of love it! In the pics in the auction it looked a bit worn out and torn up but it was all just surface grunge. It all wiped right off and it looks great now! I am happy I went ahead and took the chance on it! I can understand you not wanting to build the NIB one you have.

To remove flat spots Make sure that when you set it up off of the tires the flat spots are pointed down and let gravity do the work
You need to point out the shirt you're wearing they're very funny
The older Mabuchi RS540 motors from Tamiya had the black plastic end cap on them. The earliest ones had a thick white end cap on them and then they went to a thinner white and then to mostly the black plastic ones. Later on, no sure which year, they went to the stamped metal end cap they are still using today. In the mix of the plastic end cap era they did have Johnson motors as well. They look almost identical but have the marking on the shaft end of the can saying Johnson stamped into the case. They are all the stock 27t and sealed motors.
I have the Shadow up on one of the foam car stands now with the dents facing down like you suggested, I hope they end up popping back out. The rubber still fell soft and flexible so they should!

Ha Buyee is your new addiction 😂. I just got back from Japan today and I went to multiple shops and could not find your wheels and tyres. I did get the Candy Geen Grasas mentioned and tones of hop ups both from Tamiya and Eagle Racing. So on the weekend be busy doing mods and a build.

LOL! It was one of my daily cups of tea! I have a a spice Chai and a pumpkin spice (I know, totally basic) almost every day! They are Starbuck's style, just plain tea with honey in it. It had been sitting there for so long I assumed it had cooled off a lot but nope, still plenty hot! LOL! I had to leave that part in.

You definitely got some interesting items. I love the part where you said eBay was evil bay. My favorite out of everything you obtained has to be the kyosho buggy. I do have a question with the buyee app. How did that work with the shipping since you purchased items from different sellers. I know with eBay you pay the cost and shipping to individual sellers. Thanks, there was a lot f cool stuff packed into that one box! They Kyosho Shadow was the big win for me and I am really wanting that body to show up so I can get it done. The one thing I do love about Buyee is the way the auctions work is you win the auction and then the item is shipped to their warehouse where it is store for free for 30 days. That initial shipping is part of the auction win price, you have the time price, the Taxes if applicable and a small shipping fee of 500 Yen (roughly $3.25). Once it at their warehouse you can keep winning items and it is all stored until you have enough to consolidate and then they will pack it all into one box and tell you the single delivery price. The fast shipping is not cheap but you learn to compensate your bidding to include that roughly $25-30 per kit when getting a box this big. It is a bit of a game trying to consolidate as much as possible without going over the max single box size! LOL!

Thanks! This one I did very well on! That app is called BUYEE and it spans multiple different auction sites in Japan. You buy through them and the products get shipped to their warehouse and once there you get 30days of free storage. once you get however many items you want then you can consolidate them into one shipment and pay one fee for the pile of stuff to get boxed up and shipped to your home. You need to sign up for an account at buyee and then link a PayPal account or CC for the purchases and shipping charges. It is not like eBay so my suggestion is to watch a bunch of auction and read the details on the auction to get a feel for it for a while before bidding on things. Email me if you have more questions, I am not expert but have used it successfully a few times now! LOL!!

I will be building a car for Fil's speed run challenge as well, it did not have an MF-01X chassis yet. You can imagine my disappointment when I was forced to buy a new one to compete! LOL!!
Looking for stuff on Buyee is a lot of scrolling LOL! I make general searches to things like Tamiya RC and Kyosho RC and then scroll through the results. You can search for part numbers for new items sometimes but so far keeping things simple seems to work the best.

I was in there the other day and they had a bunch on display, I assume the leftovers from then and had them on sale for $20. You can check locally and online but I kind of have a feeling these have been stuck in overstock at my store for 6 months and they decided to pull them down and get them out of there.

No, I have not heard of that. I have it up on a car stand now with the flat spots on the bottom hoping gravity will take care of it. I can try and warm them up as well to give it a bit of help.
I wonder how hard it would be to 3D scan everything. I think it would be time consuming though. Then someone could 3D print parts that is no longer manufactured anymore. Oh well...
With the right tools I am sure it would be fairly easy to do. having the right tools is the expensive part! I know there are some consumer grade scanners but I am sure there are commercial grade ones that would do a far better job and be more accurate. There are some companies out there doing similar stuff but most are very small scale and the it is a bit of a grey area legally as well. I know Thunder Tiger, the owners of Team Associated are going after some of the manufacturers of these parts currently and I think it stupid and arrogant. If you cannot or will not make replacement parts for your old stuff then let others do it. It was not until they started making money off of it that they decided to go after them. Shameful really....

I have a problem with the shipping charges the prices of the cars were fantastic.
I mean it was a 26lb box that is quite large shipped from Japan to here in under 5 days with no damage at all... I think it is a little pricey but not overly expensive. There are slower and less expensive methods but I would rather pay more and have it handled less. Much less chance of things getting damaged if it is not changing hands a dozen or more times getting here!
