    I love all of these experiments you do with universe sandbox 2. I learn so much about space and it's cool to watch! I play universe sandbox 2 and you make me try new things in it. Btw so close to 20k!

    If a planet is to cold just change the green house effect to make it warmer
    You didn't have to move the planets closer
    I think the reason Saturn,Uranus and Neptune their Gravity is pulling the water to condense into ice because They are fairly large planets.

      I know right.
      I mean,in less than 1 month he grow more 5K subs.
      It's like jacksepticeye that gain 1M subs in 2 months.

    What would happen to their rings?

      burn or fly away

    • @lochies5407
      @lochies5407 8 років тому

      I'd say it's most likely, assuming they're not made from ice (because if they were they would evaporate), that they'd fly away. This is because when a gas giant loses its gas it's losing mass. Therefore, it's losing gravitational influence. So, I'd say in the case of Saturn it wouldn't be able to support its rings and they would fly off. There is still a chance however that its core has enough gravity to maintain its hold on the rings. So I'm not sure, it depends on the mass and density of the planet's core.

    I've got a little question, not so much about chthonian planets but more about stars, for example, stars like rigel and serious seems to be lacking a habitable zone in this game, and what's the reason for this?

  • @quacking.duck.3243
    @quacking.duck.3243 8 років тому

    Hey, if on chthonian Saturn there'd be higher gravity than on Earth, wouldn't buoyancy also increase? So swimming would be actually easier :P

    It's possible that Jupiter turns christening planets when the sun turns into a red giant and then Jupiter will be thrown away by gravity hopefully by another star!!

      thats what i want to know but if you think about it is yes because the gravity in the center is so high it atracks the heave gases and mineral dust (iron,copper,silver,carbon,etc) but it wont have big mountains and anything that goes through it will be bloked by the gas and probally be shredded but im only in 6th grade so dont give me hate because i got something wrong

    It would be interesting to see a world like Mirkheim, the rest of a gas giant almost completely evaporated by a supernova. Its composition is of minerals and metals of high evaporation temperature (high density, too), with remains of the elements and isotopes produced by the supernova. Poul Anderson described it in his novel of the same name.
    A fragment:
    "Before her stood Mirkheim, monstrous, and at that distance the weakly burning ashes of his sun were invisible and could almost have been a vagabond planet that had never belonged to any star, eternally drifting between bright and cold constellations. It was not covered from pole to pole by snows of frozen atmosphere, the brightness that was observed was hard, of metal, in some places almost like a mirror.The mountains and the chasms caused harsh shadows, and of dark iron sketched the face of an ogre. "
