Thanks for sharing your experience with replacing speakers, I saw another review on these Kickers and am happy to know what fits in the roof. Having said that, the original speaker grills in my GD twist off counter clockwise, without a tool, but they may have changed something since 2017, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing.

I am looking into purchasing these for my 21 GD 2970RL, What is the size of the speaker. Best Buy is giving me several options
