- Felt good to win against Max Park again, especially because he just won both US Nationals and Worlds this year. This average could definitely have been a lot better without all the lockups and f2l errors, but I am just happy to win. I also injured my right thumbnail while traveling to this comp so I am happy I was able to succeed despite that. Thank you to the organizers and competitors at UCSD Extravaganza, it was a very fun comp. Thank you to @Cubers-Live for the stream.
I am going to focus on my school and AP classes until January when I hope to compete against Max again in Hawaii. I will practice my turning and keep a positive mindset until then. I'll be starting an after-school cubing class for our elementary school students next month. Looking forward to growing our Hawaii cubing community and giving back to my school.
Cube used: GAN 12 Maglev UV

Congrats Matty! Waimea cuber here, looking forward to the comp in February. Trying to decide if I should compete or just spectate. I have a 45s avg solve and working toward getting it under 40. What do you think?
You should DEFINITELY compete!!!! Don’t miss out
@@michaelchai3004well if a comp delegate himself says so… registration submitted!
Bro if you are going and know how to solve a cube, then compete. It doesn't matter if you're slow, cubers have all been there at one point of time so most of them won't judge you.
I say most because you know there is always that one guy...
I would say just compete because it is fun and nobody will judge what time you get
Let’s gooo he beat max! I was there Matty nice job
Thankss
yoo nice
thanks
You're still using the Gan 12, do you think it's even better than the 14?
14
@@DongyoungLee212antisuneI think that's unlikely, the 11 is surprisingly bad compared to the new ones and the 14 is generally considered better than the 13
@@duvi9898 yeah, that's also my personal list, but I don't think the 11is unusable rn
I think the 14 is better than than the 13, and the 11 is better than the 13
@@thecubingjedi808 fair enough, I have the 11 but not the 13, I think compared to the 12 the 11 is generally very locky and has inconsistent corner cutting, do you think the 13 has even worse corner cutting or is the problem something else?
World Champions are getting slow
Tymon also lost Polish championship 🤣

"how can I be disrespectful today?"
LOL! Thats wild!!!
lol to be fair tymon is not a 3x3 world champion
@@thecubingjedi808 those who got podium at worlds are actually world champion 🏆
