I have been testing the GAN14 ever since I got it 5 months ago. It has so much potential, but it is always hard to change my main. I get faster TPS with the GAN14, and it is really smooth and fluid. I am getting faster times with the 14 recently. I have 3 official competitions coming up in the next 5 weeks. The next step is to test it in competition to see how it performs under pressure. Let's see how it goes!

Black internals is such a clean look, I'm glad GAN is considering bringing it back, hopefully that one does come to market.

I recently got the 14 and I have gotten really good times on it! My current settings are 5 for the maglev, 3 for the tension, 3 for the edge magnets, and 2 for the corner magnets. It has the feeling of the 12 but the inside feels a lot more crunchy which I'm honestly a huge fan of. It also has less catching than the 12 and people are complaining about popping when I have never gotten a pop on it in my life. Overall whatever you are more comfortable with.
Do you recommend gan 14 and better than 12,

Hi Matty! I have a question about the tension settings of GAN cubes since I still find it a bit confusing. Say "tension 4" of your GAN12, does this mean the fourth click away from reset or is it the fourth tension (three clicks)? Thanks!
The f2ls on those 3s were insane.
Big reason I personally never upgraded my gan past the 11mp was because of lack of black internals, I really hope that is brought back
Glad you could make it home safely Matty! I think you should use the 14, showing everyone that the 14 is worth using, and It could be the difference of you getting a sub 5 average in comp, and not getting it. Hope you achieve results with it :)

I see you use the halo timer, but are you also still using cstimer? do you ever just connect the halo timer to cstimer? i do it with the original gan timer and its pretty awesome
For gan 12 setting for tension 4, do you mean after the loud click do you do 3 more clicks or 4 more clicks?

Those solves in the beginning were so incredible..Also what was that f2l on the 3.58? Without the lockups on the jperm that couldve been like a fullstep 3.2/3.3, looked insane.
Yeah, the F2L was 13 moves in like 1.1s I think.
Edit: It was 14 moves in 1.3s

Could the differing feels of the black and primary 14's be because of different levels of use?
I'm guessing the primary internal cube has more solves on it than the black so it could have a softer feeling because its more worn out?
no, theres a huge difference between my friends gan 11(primary internals) and his brother's gan 11(black internals), they feel different, i think primary feels better but thats just preferance
@@ClockSolver Primary internals feels a bit drier but faster, but black internals feels soft but less faster for some reason
i feel like the gan 12 is still reliable since it has been out for so long and the setup is easy. the only thing is the small lockups but i don’t know if that is fixed in the 14 since i haven’t tested it.

Just my opinion (I've never used a gan cube) I feel like since the 14 has so many combinations, your optimal combination is just hidden within the cube.
Keep practicing and one day you may be nearly as fast as Timon or Max.

Many people have said gan 12 is better than 13.Me personally I have no idea but I kinda have a sense of how the 12 feels because I have 14.
@@NotThatCuber tried my friend's gan 12, for me it feels like it just wanna pop out and corner cutting isn't that great, but I love the overalls feelings especially the crunchiness. I'm expecting gan 13 has a better performance than 12 hopefully but many speedcubers said the opposite

I think you should stick with the gan 12, I feel like you can trust your turning more with it compared to the 14.

Gan 14 just gets a lot of unnecessary hate, like people even say it is the worst cube of all time. Sure, it may be overpriced, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is good. People are just salty
