- Sniper Elite 5 Axis Invasion with a regular soldier using a Kar98 with iron sights taking on sniper Karls. I hope you guys enjoy this multiplayer gameplay, if you do, please leave a like and also think about subscribing. Cheers guys.
I still want to dip my toe in to some co op campaign games. I fancy going through it on authentic difficulty and perhaps making a walkthrough or playthrough of the run if that's something you guys would be interested in. I also might do a more extensive review of the game once I've put a decent number of hours into it.

Honestly when your just trying to have a good time this mode is a blast had a guy where we were fighting for like an hour and I was having so much fun.

I know it’s great when you get a good sport like that, most players I come across leave instantly after I kill them once ( even if they’ve killed me a couple times)
I love dressing as a standard trooper, it's the best kind of "camouflage" next to the ghillie suit, as more often than not, you're not in grass sniping, but around troopers. Like trying to identify a single ant in an ant pile. Also, I like how your walk animation changes along with alert status, the only thing I hate is that you walk so much faster than your other troopers, so "escorting" other troopers closely will give you away.

The only up side of controllers is walk speed 🤣 but keyboard players like me are stuck in full send it speed 🤣

It's cool to hear the german's chatter whilst looking for you, you don't hear it normally as too far away as the sniper player. Nice touch

I love the "blending in" aspect of playing like this. The whole idea here is really exciting to me.
Imagine if they put actual work into it instead of it being just a throw away gimmick for them
I kinda liked old assassin's creed multilayer for that reason. So fun blending in with the crowd before assassinating your target
Such a cool gamemode, feels a bit like invasions in elden ring but more open, i've spend on average 20-30 mins a round and its epic
Yeah the slow burners are the best rounds
I always switch to armour piercing from the start, because you're very unlikely to run out of ammo before one of you dies.

@@MB93 I thru the grenade to give myself some room to shoot, but i had the wrong weapon in my hand. 🤦 Fair play to you 4 shooting without a scope. 👍👍
Ironsights are so damned op because they never see your scope glare
yeah the no glare is pretty solid
I think that makes the Wolf aspect all the more scary.
there is also less need of a ranged advantage because you have a whole army of AI teamates.
yeah but they kinda suck at range and dont have aim assist like the scopes. also karl literally has a button that he can press that gives him wallhacks (focus ability) at close range which makes all close engagements as an invader heavily tipped in karls favor.
I get the feeling youd be one of those guys that gets stabbed in the bushes.
That Soldier needs a Iron Cross he's killed the guy who's killed Hitler 6 times

I’ve shot an invading sniper through the castle wall with an AP round, didn’t realize they could penetrate that good.
yeah i just recently started using AP rounds more and i was also surprised what they could get through. V powerful
I noticed a cool thing when I've been playing, at 3:35 watch how your guy automatically raises the rifle - I believe that this indicates the Allied player is nearby, possibly within 100m or less.
It's because he slowed down into ready aim position.
I think it's when you are close to a soldier on high alert.
interesting, i need to check it out a bit more thoroughly but i think it might be when close to a high alert ai rather than close to the Allied player

I remember playing my first ever game of Sniper Elite and I got invaded, I had no idea what I was doing and I got revealed, 5 minutes later and I'm in some bushes... then I see them rustle behind me, I bet he got the shock of his life when I panic-sprayed my SMG
Those matches where you spawn in the vicinity of the allied sniper feel cheap, but satisfying

It doesn’t happen often, but if you try to dress like an officer, when they dont pay much attention they’ll try to backstab you and then you just flip around and shoot them with mp40

Love this game mode. So much fun. Had a great game with a random ( now friend ) the other day. We ended up playing 3 games together. I’m not sure if people know you can select rematch after the kill?
I also tried playing as the hunted sniper and confused the hell out of my hunter by deliberately starting stuff in one area then bugging out and quietly doing the mission on the other side of the map. Tip for being the hunted sniper, never do the missions in the normal obvious order.

The game is fun. I get sick of invasions because majority of the time it's either someone new to the game or first time in that mission. Not often you run into lvl 30+ that knows the map as well as you.

I have done 180 kills as the invader and still not old. Best is more experienced players though. Gets old when you load on noobs but I just try and scare the hell out of them as they probably don't know I am a player.
Yup. I have around 230 kills and I avoid using the SMG unless I have to cause it's not as satisfying. I usually go for long shots or knife kills.
@@roskcity i started to just wreck people trying to invade me now as I seem to get kicked too much finding a game. Maybe just my time zone. If you know how to play the defending player has a massive advantage.

Love this game mode. SO much fun trying to think how they will move around the map. And when it pays off and you get the drop on them there is nothing better.

I genuinely love the idea of this gamemode, in a way you could say it's a boss battle.
You know, if you can take the scope of the G43/G41 you can have a semi auto rifle that’s not too out of place.
The Kar98k has the highest damage and lowest drop off however, so the lack of scope isn't a huge deal.

very nice! This is kinda why I prefer the regular guys, they do the work most of the time anyway. But franky, feels odd most normaly infantry wears no headgear in sniper elite 5.

@@MB93 it feels odd, given the previous games had more variety in enemy models. I love field caps, i think looks better than helmet.
But, do you thinnk the ibvasion phone dialougfe looks kinda off? Also, think you could show the invader ability to make al more alert at some point?
In tems of German models, myabe oyou could use the actual sniper models, or the Fallschirmjäger?

Kinda feels bad for these people since it seems like they don't know how to properly fight against players....but that kill cam is always satisfying to watch knowing that they must have had a jumpscare as soon as it went into slow motion...
yeah the jumpscare is brutal
watching you play this made me doxnload it back and started playing it again, and to be honest i just had some fun playing some hide and seek with an invader

Even though there aren't any actual jungle maps as far as I have seen from most of your videos.
there is something to be said for using iron sights which I love to do in sniper elite 5, makes it more realistic in a sense because not every rifle was a sniper, maybe like 5% of rifles in ww2 were scope equipped for the snipers.

I've heard sticky nade suggested a few times, need to give it a try, should be fun
It's even more fun when you can lure them into a trap with a mine and tnt. Also the one time I got a grenade kill was a sticky grenade on an incapacitated karl
Lol this is me since day one no attachments on my kar and mp40 just the standard issue German. So many kills from point blank for that reason lol
You get 2 teller mines as sniper Jager ( at least I do) I've started placing them down near objectives then I move to a new area I've already gotten 3 confirmed kills with teller mines

Try the AA guns, a mine right on the spot where they should be standing to place the satchel charge. Devious but efficient.
They patched it down to one. A great place for a mine is the window you have to climb up to to get the key to the floorboard safe.
Why does the standard german soldier skin for the player lack the pouches on the belt, he just wears a belt and why straps. I understand removing the back kit since the weapons carried on the back might clip into it, but why remove the pouches on the front?
@@PDFsArentPpl No, just pointing a small thing. You could play as a German soldier in the multiplayer of sniper 4, yet the pouches detail was never removed. Nothing major, just a little weird.
Yeah I wish we could hide the guns on our backs and have them replaced with more detail like pouches or backpacks. Even the sniper isn’t the exact same as the NPC but still I like it more than not having.

I've played the game with my little brother quite fun. We had an invasion on the first mission (before that I finished the first two chapters). I set an ambush in the bunkers near the beach were you have a high point of view. Put some mines in the stairs, and wait with my smg while my brother was killing the officer in town.

Players become dependent on the sniper scope flash. Switching to iron sights Denys them of this warning. 😂

it's a cool mode, it would be so much better if you put it on authentic it took the phones away and there would be no timer as far as hunting each other. There's no need to assist either side. They both have pros and cons. sniper has x-ray vision where the Nazis know the objectives that need to be done and can teleport around in map. No need for the phones to pinpoint the area it's dumbs the game down
I really love this gamemode. I watched alot of videos. Certainly not enough.. i got surprised in my first match that you can actually get into a 1v2😂
1v2 is the most fun!
The first shot if it had been on the other side of the neck then it would have disconnected the computer. For those unaware of sniping terminology disconnecting the computer is when the bullet travels sideways through the neck more specifically the spinal cord supporting the neck. The person would not survive regardless of what is done if you hit it right. Most snipers will tell you it is one of the hardest unaliving shots.
In the Intro i didn’t actually even realize which solider you were until the other one walked off lol
Tip for allied player getting hunted. Use focus you can see through walls.
Get the type 100 or step gun
Go in house
Wait for hunter set taps etc
Kill
That’s how I got 7 kills

While the armor piercing bullet went through the wood at the end, it’s important to consider that in a realistic setting a such large caliber from that range would definitely pierce the wood even if it weren’t AP
People keep quitting when I invade but when they don't is a lot of fun love this mode
i hate to break it to you but . . . . .. the enemy player can always be identified by the rifle/smg slung on his back i just look for that easy to do in focus mode dont matter what your dressed as this cannot be hidden
Having said that invasion is soooo much fun it can get a little frustrating at times but when you find a player who is good and a sport that grants rematches its really exhilarating, i always grant rematches and ive had some epic battles
If you have the elite sniper skin it's harder beacuse they also have an smg on their back

I turn invasion off when Im playing the campaign. The first time it popped up I was all for it. I tried to hunt the guy down and he got me. Later on I started laying traps and made them come for me.
The problem I had is that, as I've only just started a year after the game was released, it's just constant invasions. Eventually it stopped being fun.

using the g43 with iron sight was way more fun tho , u still be able to blend in , and with the 25 ammo magazine u never have to reload lol

I was running around a little when out of the corner of my eye I saw a little bit of movement near a window. I immediately stopped and watched that window with my scope
Almost got out of it when I saw that the tag marker had begun to go up. From there I waited another 15 seconds, tagged him, waited a little longer, then finally had a good shot at him.

I genuinely enjoy the mode, especially getting a solid shot in the head. The STG44 built for power and running softpoint is evil.
Was a great mode, though I got very tired of everyone just instantly quitting as soon as I got in, or kicking me. If you don't want to get invaded or risk it, don't run Invasion.
One mine does not kill, so I'll place a mine and throw a dead body with an explosive booby trap on top of the mine ( so now I have a double explosive) throw the body on a narrow door entrance ...confirmed dead on arrival!
I got to max hunter level by doing this when the game first came out
Dayz is like if sniper elite was set in the modern era and was a bit more realistic and made by another dev altogether.
If possible, you should boobytrap those phones as your prey seems to like using them!

Part of me hopes when they do the next Zombie game you can do the same like this. Play as them jetpack zombies shooting at the humans

nice gameplay, also finally, it's good to see competent Germans finally doing something for once, instead of just being generic cardboard cutouts for players to shoot, i'm sure even B.J Blazkowicz would show respect along with a fair fight, anyways i do love the "Axis Invasion" mechanic Rebellion Developments added in Sniper Elite 5, it does make it stand out more
because now, you're not just a sniper
you are a sniper facing more than just danger, because unlike before where the Fuhrer wants you dead, this time he wants you *very dead*
so now you're not just hunting him, but you're also being hunted by beagles, vultures, foxes, sea lions and even the average grunt along the ranks who managed to get the drop on you
I think the only thing to stand you out from a regular soldier is that you have a MP-40 on your back as secondary while having a rifle. But in hindsight, I dont think a human player is able to catch that in a fast look at you, before you might had been able to aim and shoot them

I used to do this all the time. But the game doesn't let you unequip your second primary, which blows your cover.
Also, for no good reason at all, the accessories like ammo pouches and webbing are not coded for multi-player models, so you have no gear.
Got 140 kills now in invasion mode still love to invade but people get smarter now alot of dirty traps

Should I go to axis invasion after I beat the game? Im pretty good at stealth but playing again makes it boring

You can find players pretty easy they drop you close by if you invade the key is look for spots were the enemy sniper is going for alarms are very helpfull also lissen for gunshots dont runn the map just wait a few short min for the invasion fone
AInt as bad as I thought it maybe. Not much of a multiplayer person as I was back in the halo 3 and Reach days, but I may try invasion now.

Watching this a year later, they really should at the very least, give back AP ammo, and the extra slots.
it's a great game mode idea but far to easy for the invader...I spent like 30 rounds just sneeking up on the guys knifing them np 9 of 10 I won.
The allies side has a ton of advantages (can even see you through walls with that focus thing).
It's just that a lot of players don't realize "enemy sniper" is another player.
@@hatad321 true, but still they are so busy they don't realize you are coming. Or they camp for 20 min in a corner and still get killed. There are rare moments when it's impossible for the Axes to win. I still think the sniper rifle makes it just super easy. Unless the guy cleaned up everything and can focus on you. That's why I only do knife and Pistol kills. Balance it for me
