@@terminallove3531 During his conquest of his homeworld yes - he led a veritable copy-cat mongol horde against some imperialistic arses on his homeworld who had more advanced weaponry. Thankfully that didn't predispose him to fight against his own father's empure. Though the imperium does still use horses in warfare because, in the dark future, rule of cool beats common sense. Because common sense is heretical-or-something (I don't know blame GW).
His horse must be strong AF to carry that massive body lol
@@terminallove3531 the world had very little technology because the age of strife plunged his world on to like Rennossiance period and so they used horseback for travel and crap because chigoris was apparently a large fielded futal world
The khan basically had a massive mindfuck a few years prior with morty and horus due to him not knowing which side to pick lol, so this fits well given that he's probably really fucking stunned that he's literally one of the only heavy hitters on terra lmao.
Khan visited Terra before. All primarchs were taken there for kind of re education program where they were taught about the Empire, technology, legion, humanity history and every other essentials they needed to know.
Many of the old rivalries and hatereds started there. Not all primarchs were present there, for they were all found at different times, but Rogal and Perturabo started their history there, Ferrus and Lorgar learned they hate each other, Konrad and Dorn had also met there first, and others probably did too, but GW/Black Library does not focus on these events.

The Khan was a pretty cautious guy. He wasn’t a fanatic like dorn nor he really loved the emperor like Sanguinius. He was trying to understand what was going on and why and after weighing his options he chose the loyalist side.
And he did it out of moral reasons. He already had everything he wanted, Horus couldn’t tempt him with more power nor the emperor could appeal to “love”.
