Always liked the O-Pee-Chee! I remember buying a bunch of packs from Toronto when I was a kid. Really like the backs of the cards. Felt like they were special.

Hate to say it but I think those packs were looked at before notice how it was to open each pack
I have a lot of these cards from my childhood and they don’t have those choppy edges like some of these

I noticed on the back of Tony Perez card he had the same amount of doubles, triples, hr's and rbi's in back to back years in 76 and 77. What are the odds of that? Thats cool.
Should defo get your money back for this box. The packs were definitely searched :/ I wouldn’t trust BBCE anymore. Btw you should mail me all the gum lol I’ll eat it

I noticed the only two manager and team cards were Canadian teams, and also seemed like there were waaay too many Bluejay and Expos cards. No way you would not pull another team manager card and only those two...Seems like
o-pee-chee loaded Canadian players and team cards ect, at the cost of other cards you should have gotten...Just my opinion...Thanks as usual!
I swear too ya. The gas station 2 or 3 miles from my house growing up in 1990 I’m guessing. Had these, I remember riding my bike to buy a couple. I did live in a very small mid southern town. It’s cool to see them again!!
If the box was searched, The Brocks, McCovey, Niekro/Ryans, Schmidts, Winfield and Munsons would be gone.
First, I love the channel. I became a Patreon member and also subscribed. I got back into collecting again after watching. Second, I have opened a bunch of wax packs from the 80's and 90's. I am no expert but I am extremely observant. I bought into this break and was number 26 pack. I noticed that at least 90% of these packs have been torn. You were very careful with the packs and when you open the first to second tab you can see the tear in the pack by your left hand. Also, the initial tear on a bunch of packs was too easy. You should really go back and watch to see what I am saying. These packs were previously opened. Lastly, I hold no ill will toward you. I am not trying to call you out or anything like that. I will be buying into more breaks. I hope you go back and check the video and possibly address this. Thank you and be safe.

I'll bet money you dont find the Murray in the rest of this box. I think steve hart is very shady, this looks like its gonna be the 4th searched box you've opened from bbce. I might be wrong and u pull it but it looks like this Is an awful reseal job.

Pack #5 (I think) at the 9:40 mark. That was already torn at the bottom before you opened it. Did you perhaps have to do a second take? If not..... someone else had their hands on these

The production of these cards looks pretty subpar, they look like they were trimmed with a very blunt knife.
Fun break to watch 2000 dollar box for about 100-150 dollars worth of cards that sucks.. collation sucked back then

I thought this was gonna be a regular '78 Topps break, i sighed when i found out, but i watched the whole thing. Yet, some good cards, but many duplicates, at least it wasn't the first '79 Topps break or '81 Donruss (nothing will ever top that one for the UGH factor). Looking forward to the next vintage break!
O-PEE-CHEE sets are smaller than regular Topps sets. There are bound to be many dupes in a 36 count box.
The packs of gum on the bottom packs will be smashed because theres no cushion and they gave the most Weight on it so every time the box is moved or slid thats what happens
OPC, up here in Canada for .15 cents Canadian per pack back then. Very cool. 😎
I remember Topps cards were always sharper compared to OPC.
Topps cards were cut better, but OPC used better cardboard and the photos always looked better on OPC cards, in my opinion.

I don’t think it’s searched. The same thing happened from a box of 1979 Topps. It depends on the sheets and how they are sorted out.
I don’t think that Neikro/Ryan would be there if that box had been searched.

15:08- The top card in pack Mark Belanger had gum stains all over the front of the card but no piece of gum to be found. The gum was stuck to the bottom card in that pack. Definitely very fishy when you see something like that from a supposed "unopened/unsearched pack.
Also, no Nolan Ryan base card/no Eddie Murray rookie pull. Most valuable pulls missing from every pack.
Bottom Line: Buying into these old Topps wax box breaks, as well as trusting that they were never searched when the packs open as easy as they all did and the Mark Belanger card gum stain issue: Waste of $$$$!

If you send a box to BBCE say missing 6 packs ..They will SELL you 6 packs and completete the box then WRAP. DUH
My 2 cents.
Being a several Decade Collector and dealer and breaker here on UA-cam the main evidence of it possibly being searched would be how broken up the gum is. In fact in one pack there was an extra piece of gum about one-fifth of the size of a full piece. There's always the possibility that these packs were each separately sitting on their own being tossed around at one point after the gum had dried causing it to break and then they're all put in one box to make a complete box. But that's unlikely. And maybe the extra piece of broken gum was a manufacturing flaw but I doubt it. I still hold a lot of faith in the BBCE so I'm not saying this is searched but that's the one thing that would make me question it. The ripped packs are probably a manufacturing flaw as they were all in the same spot. And about the same size. For the first time, at the end of all of this I would call this box plausible.

Opc is far far shorter print run but crazy Americans want topps. Go figure
O-PEE-CHEE packs were notorious for having ripped packs... they used inferior machines during the 70’s & 80’s... notice how the rips are in the same spot? That’s from a defect in the rollers “packing” the pack. This is not a searched box.
Is it common for every pack to have the bottom flap torn before opening??? Very suspect.
I was going to give him a hard time for tearing up all these wax pack wrappers but maybe it was already torn?!

Hey James, not sure if you were trying to be funny or not so I'm just letting you know the Molitor / Trammell rookie is not in this set in case you were being serious.
Not sure if this is the reason why but you mentioned how long it took for your vid to load on youtube. Since so many people are home, you tube and Netflix both have slowed down in order to handle the large amount of people who now use the sites.

These boxes sell in the $800 Range. Definitely not a $2000 box. If you pay that, you haven't done your research.
