@216trixie thank you so much for stand up for Lzzy. I know how it feels to be talked about like that and I also know how it feels when someone stands up for you and defends you like that. She probably really, really appreciates it ☺️
Hilarious how much people complain about lzzy having a signature model. She earned it. She's brand loyal. I've seen these guys live, she switched between her explorer and a les Paul supreme. Besides fender gave avril lavigne and Courtney love signature guitars. I can say from seeing them live lzzy is more than deserving. Joe is not brand loyal lol. I've seen him with everything from a Gibson v to a fender John 5 Tele. This band is humble in person and play 300+ shows per year.
Some Rig Rundowns I'd like to see - Iron Maiden - Gorillaz (I don't care, they have a new album coming out in 2016) - Jack White - Van Halen - Megadeth - AC/DC - Metallica - Coldplay (they have a new album out, and they're also fairly underrated as a modern Alternative Rock band - also they have some cool songs)
Mega MountainMan Why is that such a big deal? I mean, most people see them as Pop-Rock, but I'd say that some songs like Viva La Vida have a sort of Alt. Rock vibe to them
Andrew Pappas I just don't hear rock anywhere in there. MAYBE a very light Prog Rock. When I think of Alt Rock, I think of bands like the Foo Fighters and Dorje.
+Mega MountainMan I know what you mean with the Foos (great band, love Dave Grohl, one of the best drummers in Rock and a kickass frontman) with Alt. Rock, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions
Andrew Pappas I agree that people should be entitled to their own opinions about what they like, but I'm trying to say that there should be definite genres. I'm not trying to say they aren't good. I'm trying to say that they don't really fall into any subgenres of Rock. I think that Coldplay makes very good music, and I understand why a lot of people like them even though they're not really my cup of tea.
The Gibson Explorer is such an iconic guitar. I couldn't easily afford one so I bought a Jackson Kelly. It's quite ok! The Jackson Kelly is the next best guitar. I remember a friend of mine had one and tried to sell me it for $600. I loved the guitar but wasn't paying 600 for it. Then this year I decided I was going to buy the best guitar and amp I could get for under $1000. I got a Marshall Origin which sounds fantastic with a Jackson Kelly and a few pedals Ibanez Tube Screamer and a Chromatic Tuner. Very happy! I will probably buy either a new guitar or REVV G3 or one or two modeling amps. Boss Katana or the new Peavy?
Courtney Reseburg easily she is a nwo queen promotes satanism to young girls and dresses it up in pretty songs. funny how retarded people are most dont even realise there singing along to satanic ceremonies.
OK now Joe, next Rig Rundown we want to see you in those heels ok? LOL What would be the best way to just get the shiny sticky off the back of your LP neck? Very fine steel wool? Great video.
When I think of one guitar and the importance of this guitar it has to be Queen's Brian May. How cool is it that him and his father created that guitar and it's still his number one. If any kids or adults have a chance to build a guitar with a parent or someone close to them jump at the chance.
25:43 Touring with a 20,000 dollar guitar is crazy? Look at Joe Bonamassa, he tours with more than 3 original bursts and like 20 vintage Strats, Teles and 335's!!!
I'm with ya. I've seen in videos of her other rigs there's no button on hers, so I wonder if it was modded. I also noticed that at 9:56 she pushes it down and it springs back without pushing the other way
+Ethan Watson interdasting.......iphone 6s $650, 12 months of saving instead of an unlimited data plan, a little help from dear ol' dad...it's quite doable...but oh yeah, poor babbby
Actually i would like to love Marshall so much.. but somehow everytime i pick up a guitar and play through one (and i spend hours adjusting everything) i dont really like it. its nothing wich blows me out of my shoes.
I think explorers are such underrated guitars and I put the blame on Gibson. Almost every explorer I see is so plain especially for how exotic the shape is. When you see an explorer that has any sort of vibrantish colour, (basically any colour other than brown or gray) you think, 'Wow. That's a crazy coloured explorer', but it's not. Just every other one is so plain and boring.
I think it's called "Gonna Get Mine" if I'm not mistaken (my friend Madison is a huge Halestorm fan, and that's one of her favourite songs by them (her number one favourite is I Miss the Misery, which I'll admit is a pretty cool song)
Superman Bohlinger and Wonderwoman became musicians. Does Gibson really make "Jimmy Page" buckers??? Or is he mistaking the "jimmy page wiring" and electronics for the name of the pickups... Don't think they make a Pagebucker. lol. Maybe they do.
Watch the later rundown she does. She says the exact same things about the guitars. Same antidotes, same jokes. Not a diss at all, but it's like you dont get to know her at all. Kinda standard, robotic answers.
Just met Lzzy Hale this past Friday on stage and got a picture with her!! She was so nice; I'm in love
"I'll show you something else later, yeah that's gonna give me back problems when I'm older"
Mind. In. The. Gutter.
she loves her guitar real meaty...
Gibson, Marshall, couple pedals. That's as classic as you can get
She seems like a really awesome down to earth person. Love this band \m/
Lzzy is so freaking adorable. I love her.
Glad to see that she knows her stuff as much as her tech... Respect \m/
+So Myung Jung If I get that big, I'll never have a tech. I just don't trust other people with my gear.
We all have trust issues.
Would have loved to see her other guitars. Any more time with Lzzy would be sweet.
Amazing video, thank you so much!
I find it just great, that a Woman can talk about sound, effects, Amps bla, for so long.
Just cool.
No wonder I constantly feel the impulse to scratch my guitar body, all the cool musicians are doing it, now I am going to do it!!! I think....
Jesus that Double SG is gorgeous! Baritone is a cool idea. Surprised the baritone isn't longer though.
Lzzy is fucking awesome, a real guitar player!
Love these shows but would have liked to hear them play some of the stuff too.
@216trixie thank you so much for stand up for Lzzy. I know how it feels to be talked about like that and I also know how it feels when someone stands up for you and defends you like that. She probably really, really appreciates it ☺️
That's a beautiful black and blue Explorer.
God I love her laugh 😍
and that she's not fake or egotistical or a flat out douchebag like 99% of male guitists and frontmen
She geeked about slash! 😍

I think that I'm not the only one that want's to see Jack Whites rig rundown...
+TheKille22 too bad he's stopped touring for now.
I want to see it
They just did one on him a little while ago, it’s a good one
Damn she’s awesome!
Love the fact she name dropped Papa Het.
You can’t talk about the Explorer without mentioning James since he’s so associated with the shape
That double neck!!
Between the falcon ,explorer, lzzys lp and eds, they have a lot of white and gold
"It's Awesome" - Joe Hotinger - 2015
Some Rig Rundowns I'd like to see
- Iron Maiden
- Gorillaz (I don't care, they have a new album coming out in 2016)
- Jack White
- Van Halen
- Megadeth
- AC/DC
- Metallica
- Coldplay (they have a new album out, and they're also fairly underrated as a modern Alternative Rock band - also they have some cool songs)
+Andrew Pappas Coldplay is Alternative ROCK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??!?!????
Mega MountainMan Why is that such a big deal? I mean, most people see them as Pop-Rock, but I'd say that some songs like Viva La Vida have a sort of Alt. Rock vibe to them

Greatest Band!
after watching alot of Lzzy interviews, I am kind of getting the impression that she is in fact a simple gal :)
wish lzzy wld've actually shown all her guitars
The Gibson Explorer is such an iconic guitar. I couldn't easily afford one so I bought a Jackson Kelly. It's quite ok! The Jackson Kelly is the next best guitar. That Archer is killer....the Klon met its match in that pedal.
she's so freakin kewl! \m/
Saw them live a couple months ago, Lzzys tech had a PG shirt on when he was sound checking her guitar.
freakin' amazing how long she can stay in a catcher's stance. she's like the bionic woman.
What did Lzzy do to that JC wah for her not to have to click it on. I have one and would love to do the same!!!!!!
Shes a fan of James Hetfield!!!!!! I knew it!! Thats awesome!!
Gholdwayne I had that feeling a long time ago
DAT DOUBLE NECK GIBSON
+Luca Gimmi She likes having her hand around two pieces of wood.
+Mega MountainMan XD Bruh
Andrew Pappas Making really bad sex jokes is my speciallty.
Mega MountainMan Then I give that a 69/69 :P (may sound stupid, but I'm just bored here XD)
Seem like cool cats. Not a huge fan, but maybe after seeing how cool they are, I'll give'm another try. Love Rig Rundown!!!
That Jcm 800 is pretty sweet
I wonder if anyone but John, on the PG staff, plays guitar ? Id love to see videos of the rest of the crew shredding , jamming, whatever.
5:38 did she just say that this guitar was in **DROP E?**
Like, 5 of the 6 strings tuned **UP** a whole step?
I'm struggling to comprehend this, lol.
How can anyone dislike this woman? Lol xD
Yeah, during carnival of madness she gave me her bracelet and set list before Shinedown came on XD
ahhhh what that's so cool xD I'm so jealous!!
Courtney Reseburg easily she is a nwo queen promotes satanism to young girls and dresses it up in pretty songs. funny how retarded people are most dont even realise there singing along to satanic ceremonies.
I’m with you, she’s freaking badass
@@deuliciousmafuka3604 I think you should stop sniffing paint fumes. She isn't anything what you described her as.
I would like one pleas
that JJ Melody Maker is the cat's meow
Please do Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. They are blowing up at this point and won't be long till they go international.
oooo i knew that joan jett signature right when i saw it lol
wish you guys did the bassist though :(
giggs102 Yea they always screw us bassists.
***** i actually do! haha josh smith, im a huge halestorm fan,
giggs102 Yea... What's his name.
potatopotatopotato What kind of gear does their bassist use, just out of curiosity?
Unfortunately in hard rock no one does the bassist
He keeps forgetting about strings and picks
I know she uses sit strings
They now use Dunlop strings
Cause he sucks
OK now Joe, next Rig Rundown we want to see you in those heels ok? LOL What would be the best way to just get the shiny sticky off the back of your LP neck? Very fine steel wool? Great video.
Great, great, great, oh really, cool.
John, you've been working out, LOVE IT! (no homo ;D)
When I think of one guitar and the importance of this guitar it has to be Queen's Brian May. How cool is it that him and his father created that guitar and it's still his number one. If any kids or adults have a chance to build a guitar with a parent or someone close to them jump at the chance.
Brian may is literally a genius.. musically and outside music
she is adorable
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻Lzzy, Joe 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Izzy you are so fukking cool.
Can someone explain the JC wah more, I cant find anything on this wah being able to engage without a bypass.
Most likely hers was customized with it. Another way is a G-Lab true bypass plate like Pete Loeffler and Jim Root use.
I fuckin' love Lzzy!!!
What song was Joe playing at the beginning?
Vekezu "gonna get mine"
This is very similar to the 2021 rundown.
Can someone tell me what pedal the guy uses at the very beginning of the video?
Sounds like an octave pedal, could be using an EHX POG
She reminds me of Alice on Resident Evil.
Pro 4X actually I never really noticed that before but she does looks like Alice from resident evil played Mila jonavich
All the Lzzy Hale explorers I've seen have a rosewood fretboard! NOT ebony.
25:43 Touring with a 20,000 dollar guitar is crazy? Look at Joe Bonamassa, he tours with more than 3 original bursts and like 20 vintage Strats, Teles and 335's!!!
Nathan Lam That's what they are for, not sitting at home in a vault to go and look at once a month.
Kate Andrews exactly, great guitars are meant to be played and heard.
Guitars were built to be played..
I'm thought it was black and blue ;)
i saw that guitar in my local music store. this thing is cool in person but the tuning pegs are mega tiny.
Can someone elaborate on the switchless function for the JC95 wah?
I'm with ya. I've seen in videos of her other rigs there's no button on hers, so I wonder if it was modded. I also noticed that at 9:56 she pushes it down and it springs back without pushing the other way
Sorry, I mean't John, I don't know why I just copied the wrong name from the title. LOL
Metallica rig rundown plz
fuck yes love this band!!!
Did she say drop E?
Drop A
11:39 she sings Giant Woman from Steven Universe? xD
they should do a malmsteen rig rundown
+Matt Elrod they did
Mega MountainMan yeah, my favorite quote was "I have a song called red devil that is named after all my Ferrari's"
Rothley131 Gamez I actually don't think of that as him having a big ego. If I had a lot of Ferraris, I would make a song about it.
Mega MountainMan the way he says it is awful, and any way the guy got famous off of one scale and he is a dick about it
Mega MountainMan but lets be honest he is an amusing sight to look at
you need to do a Black Veil Brides rig rundown
no
yes
alonehades100 No.
lol why not, They're great guitar players, and also great guys
i have a feeling you're 12
He appears to be very attentive and more interested than most other rig rundowns?
Drop E? Did I hear that right?
bastyautca Pretty sure she means higher than E standard, not 8 string tunings
Think she said drop B. I hope anyway
Shower, you mean storage space xD
effect is used in the intro?
Octaver. A mix of dry, 1 octave up and 1 octave down. Done with the Electro Harmonix POG
That Joan Jett guitar was sweet
6:30
Yeah you see these kids... 9 years old with a 2500$ gibson explorer...
Theres a group of 15yo 12yo and 9yo girls who are sponsored by if i remember correctly gibson, orange and a few others. And theyre amazing
Metal Dads go crazy over their daughters.
Count Von D Yep and I'm one of them but she'll start with a Good knock off
0:00 El pibe de los astilleros..
What little girl could afford that explorer?
+Ethan Watson interdasting.......iphone 6s $650, 12 months of saving instead of an unlimited data plan, a little help from dear ol' dad...it's quite doable...but oh yeah, poor babbby
thats what i thought, too.
Yeah, I paused the video and immediately looked it up...$2000 on Reverb. Lucky little girls to get to play their first gigs with something like that.
'California' Girls
6:30 on repeat.
Pretty sure these two smashed later.
White and gold? It looks black and blue to me - must be the lighting.
YOU ARE BEING HUNTED
Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker, new price $595 Lzzy Hale Signature Explorer, new price $2990 :D
Actually i would like to love Marshall so much.. but somehow everytime i pick up a guitar and play through one (and i spend hours adjusting everything) i dont really like it. its nothing wich blows me out of my shoes.
I like how she just hands Josh the guitars. HA.
Joe, the 335 might be one of your favorite guitars but it looks out of place for a METAL band. Maybe the chicks like it though?
Toxic Potato Except that the 335 gets super noisy with distortion. Yet, you can use whatever guitar you want for metal
hadley101My guess is someone at some show will target the 335 with a beer. Sound and look metal are two different things.
hadley101 Tone and playability. My 335 has some of the best tones
Line 6 Wireless on the board ... ... but Shure Wireless in the rack, right above her Pre/Amps ... ... Hmmmmmmmm ...
And he uses the Shure, too ... clearly. Whats up with that??
Could be the In ear unit
I think explorers are such underrated guitars and I put the blame on Gibson. Almost every explorer I see is so plain especially for how exotic the shape is. Just every other one is so plain and boring.
I lost all respect for Lzzy when she said "I have too many guitars", but the ad in the middle was perfectly timed.
I lost respect for Joe when he said that he had always wanted a 59 like Jimmy Page. Jimmy Page had a 69.
@@megamountainman5230 No, he had 59 as well, why else would he have a sig 59 lol
anyone can tell me what's the riff in the beginning of the video?
I think it's called "Gonna Get Mine" if I'm not mistaken (my friend Madison is a huge Halestorm fan, and that's one of her favourite songs by them (her number one favourite is I Miss the Misery, which I'll admit is a pretty cool song)
thank you so much!!
Austin Wang Thanks, at least I believe that's what it's called
I want to show her my axe setup
I hate relicing. For posers. But this guy's not a poser, so I guess he can like relicing.
***** I think seymour duncan make the "Whole Lotta Humbuckers" I think they're kinda similar to Page's original Les Paul's pickups.
HaldoHD Yea I know about them Duncan WLH buckers.. was just asking if Gibson made pickups called "Page Buckers" or if they got the name wrong?
they might just call them that way in the video because of the jimmy Page wiring you mentioned ;)
they're Duncan's Whole lotta humbuckers. they sound beautiful
Cantrell wah isn't a switchless wah, whoops!
She modded it!
Dunlop nods pedals for artists. Most of the endorsers have different guts and chassis mixed.
I was the 1k like
Damn lizzy.... wanna get off on the audience? Ill go for that
😩
Watch the later rundown she does. She says the exact same things about the guitars. Same antidotes, same jokes.
Not a diss at all, but it's like you dont get to know her at all. Kinda standard, robotic answers.
