Chad (he/him) is back on {THE AND} with his wife Sara (she/her). Chad fell in love with Sara immediately, and since, the two of them have had three children and built a family together. In Chad's words, 2020 threw the family a shot-put rather than a curveball, but they have all supported and loved each other along the way. With Sara's cancer diagnosis and an impactful loss in their family (all in a six month period), the couple's bond helped pull their family out of 2020 and into 2021.

“I’ve never worried once since I was sixteen whether I’d be taken care of”...now that’s a man. And his response to her... they take care of each other and that’s what’s important.
A male friend of mine from high school wished his wife a happy birthday recently on fb. At the end he wrote "I will always take care of you" I thought wow. You don't hear that much these days. It is a different culture these days.

@@ivynya29 i will stay single unless I run across one with those values. I watched a UA-cam video recently. There was this gorgeous lady explaining why she didn't want to get married. She said "You have to beat my alone" it took me 2 seconds but I totally understood what she meant.

@@Bint_S lol.. it's on soft white underbelly youtube channel. Hear me out ( lol) the videos are very raw. People from every walk of life, addicts,homeless etc. This particular one is a woman "Frenchie" my initial response was to turn her off, just bc she spoke very fast w/French accent. You could skip over the 1st 30 min & bypass what she does for a living. After 30 min or so she talks about her philosophy on relationships being alone etc. It is amazing. The 1st 30 min are a lot. But her take on life is amazing ( last 30 min or so) she is very entertaining
He seems like the calmest person on earth.
He has got to be the rock for her. It is not good for her if he freaks out. He needs to keep it all together, but she knows how much he is struggling in the inside and she appreciates that with all her heart. Also, it's hard for her to feel strong, when she feels like a burden.
There's a video like this with him talking with their 10 year old son, and he seems like a great dad too.

I'm so glad she's being honest. Being sick is rough. It doesn't always feel like a gift. I feel like sometimes the world expects too much bravey from sick people. Especially the kind of illness that changes what you look like on the outside. That stuff hurts

I think couples in serious relationships should take some questions and do them periodically through out their relationship journey. I want a real connection

I got their deck and it really is worth it! You get to talk about things you wouldn’t otherwise with your partner and it deepens your connection for sure. I love it so much that I’ve been buying it as a gift for other couples
My husband and I do this ! We are 36 & 38, we have been together since we were 17 & 19. The love that we have for each other is scary to us bc we know that it can never be duplicated, we agave grown up together and had so many firsts together. Asking each other questions like this keep us in tune with each other’s feelings and emotions.

This woman is so beautiful! I hope she finds security in the way she’s feeling about herself. No amount of scars can take away her beauty because her beauty is not only on the outside, she’s a beautiful person all around.
You’re so sweet, thank you! 💛 I work on it everyday, some days are better than others. I’m 37 and have had 33 surgeries now. Some scars are easier to accept than others. The newest ones from everything cancer related are the ones I’m still struggling with. 💛
CF5 TV I can only imagine how hard that is. Your body changing so quickly and you not having any say in the matter. And words are just words but you really are beautiful!! All those scars just add to it, it shows how strong you really are and that is just added beauty!
I absolutely love these two. Imagine how many relationships a connection like this can change. There are so many unspoken things and lack of communication in most relationships these days. Sometimes you really need to hear these questions/answers.

These people have been through the ringer in such a short span of time. The plus side of being at the complete bottom in life, is there is no other place you can go, other than up, unless there is some sort of tunnel system in place, in which case left and right is an option. I have so much love and hope these two stay as connected and remain healthy during rough times.

I find it interesting that when ppl try to describe why they love their partner, it’s usually in relation to themselves.
I love this couple. Imo the husband is calm, kind, supportive etc however, he seems numb if it makes sense. I hope he give alll the love, attention that he gives. He makes sure everyone is ok but I hope the same is done to him.

He doesn't seem numb at all. He's holding space for and being a container for his wife. You can see the empathy and care in his eyes...which takes emotion. The opposite of numb. Men also feel and process their emotions in a different way than we women do. That doesn't mean they are numb. He's being a good husband. His wife has been through alot and he knows it. Good for him
