I like the stock bushings no problem with rust or crack. For waterruns and Mud the stock bushings are my favorite.I want the bushings even for my 1:10 TRX 4.
Found out about Jim's bearings on RC channels, when buying some I realized he's in my hometown Youngstown, OH. Middle of rust belt lots of great craftsman out there.
I just ordered a trx4m it will be my first rc car and upgrading it might be what im moat excited for. Seems more enjoyable than layijg on the cement under a car for a change.
I bought the white Bronco on day 1! I just ordered the Jim’s bearings, hopefully it will help you out a little. I’m waiting to run my Bronco till I’ve got all the upgrades. Awesome video as always!
😅This little guy(TRX4m) needs a crawler course for sure.🤔if you build one, if it's not in the plan?, it's almost a cool option for it, you can call it a (Miniplex) for crawlers.😆👍
Jim's website says 2-3 weeks to get a set, so I'll wait a while. I also agree about the crawler gears... I tried them and two days later put the stock ones back. I haven't done any mods yet other than the light kit. I'm in the process of making a 3D-printed receiver hitch with removable ball holder to replace the fixed one that came with the trailer... so it doesn't catch on stuff when crawling. It's 95% done... just a few more tweaks and it'll be read.
@@kennyperson6844 Thanks for the heads up. I have the Scx24 Bronco so I thought I'd switch it up with the Defender. Would be just a trail runner for sure.
Just finished putting the bearings in mine and yes completely agree massive difference Also going to do the metal gears as well ( I’ve been running mine every day since it launched and the plastic gears don’t show any signs of wear as of today ) but can’t find the metal gears yet anyways so low priority Dang this little truck is fun though 😂 also side note the crawler gear’s already had bearings in them and haven’t checked the speed transmission yet but I will be soon ( I have all three prebuilt transmissions for easier and faster swaps )
Cute but not practical for our use still a little on the small side to work on. Thanks for the upload Joe. Videos are always entertaining even if I'm not interested in the model ill still be cream of the crop pick of the litter lol.
Well I like the plastic gears more than metal. They are so quiet and I don't think they'll be brraking anytime soon on this small size and weight of the vehicle.
Almost need a microscope to work on that badboy... In my opinion it's is always worth it to replace those bushings with bearings. No more bushing resistance, bearings are silky smooth everytime.
Dude! Get the fms Fcx24 and Smasher! Top quality! 2-speed gear box. Super slow control and Great speed. Esc is silent when slow crawling. Smasher needs the high speed motor. 8 dollar upgrade. These trucks hardly need any upgrades.

You must just trail? You can barely crawl with the bushings

I can't wait to eventually get my hands on these guys. They're just neat.
What a cute rig! Seems really capable, even for its small size.
Can’t wait for my bearings to get here. One of the last upgrades I need to do with my bronco

I did the low gears an it chewed up my axle gears in a few trips.

Hi Joe just like you said a lot of work but definitely worth it IMO. 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤙🏼
Great video brother. Would love to see Vitavon make some parts for it. 💯

Nice 👍👍
Traxxas did this with their latrax. The new version was loaded with bearings
👍🏾👍🏾 I use Jim's👍🏾👍🏾 good good good bearings

😁👍
I'm wondering how much, if any, low end weight was lost. 🤔
That's what I did last night while watching your live stream EXO. It's much smoother and quiet. Any discount codes for those leggings!?!?!🤣🤣🤣
just drop the links off the skid next time for the front end
yeah this was way too much work the way I did it
For what’s £180 hear in the uk bearings should be a given in these crawlers
Yeah the price in EU is Kinda stupid for them.
Ok, you said you used hex 1.5 mm, better try T6 as you said some hex were rounded, T6 will solve your problem...
Better upgrade ALL the xmission gears b4 any better/bigger motor. It's not an scx24 🤷♂️

FMS quality is crap.
bushing's are never good , some dry lube's help but they want stuff to wear out . but who goes and buys traxxas bearings.
Furitek system?
