Thanks for posting all of the cool things you’ve done! Towards the end you mentioned wanting to increase front weight. One thing I saw someone do with those wheels was replace the middle ring section on the back wheels with aluminum rather than brass to increase the front/rear bias.

Hey just got a question for the Trx4m because the front doesn’t wanna go down all the way even without shocks it doesn’t wanna go down. I’m very new to the hobby so
The front upper links are colliding with the servo mount. It's just how Traxxas designed it unfortunately. That setup will always limit your vertical axle drop.
So, the shock you got, are they meant for the scx 1/24 because the link to the shocks brings me to the 58mm shocks, but it says they are for the 1/24 instead of the 1/18.
Yes they are. I retrofit them to the Traxxas. Not ideal, but they worked. I moved on to Losi mini B rear shocks all around and those are far superior to the scx24 shocks.
ahhh YAY you did the wheel mounton back like in my comment in the first vid you made of the bronco. i run the same wheels and vented also i love them the stock foams are not bad for injora IMO specially when vented. i run the exact same wheels too man our brancos are almost identical
Yes the spare tire tip was a great one! I agree about the foams: they’re really good considering how inexpensive the tire/wheel setup is. I did end up putting some flibberstufferz in but I haven’t tried them yet
To keep the front end down for free couldnt you put a spare wheel on the bonnet/hood of the truck? the same wheel as the spare on the back then just play around with placement untill you get the balance right
It depends where you are I guess. My local shop has them on hand and piles of parts and accessories. But other shops further away are totally sold out.
I trimmed off the fender flares and left the rest. I had to cut out the small plastic piece that holds the windows in, and the cross member in the front to hold on the wipers.
I'm doing something different. The Defender is really my sons rig and all he wants to do is drive it around with the utility trailer and haul snacks around LOL So I am doing more of a scale ovelander approach to that one.

Traxxas at first and eventually switched to Injora steel

@@CapeCrawlers i was wondering myself if i cut a V into the foams would it keep alot of sidewall rigidniss and create more balloon effect
Have you tried using a different axle housing with a horizontal servo, like an FXC24 or SCX24? Not sure if they are wide enough though.
I have not. I like the Traxxas setup, so I am hoping someone will develop a modification to maintain the stock axles but flip the servo
If you drill out the pivot balls to fit Traxxas shock bolt would that be better than removing the balls entirely?
That's a great idea, and certainly a better option than running no pivot hardware! I may have to try that.
I wonder if there is a way to put a bow in the chassis on each side of the servo to give it 1/8 or so of an inch of extra clearance at the servo
I bet you could. In subsequent videos I found out how to get it to slide under the chassis and achieve some gnarly articulation.
Furitek has the grasshopper chassis for this.
It’s arriving in my mailbox Saturday 😎
Very helpful 👍
