Jay out of the dress code...? unbelievable!!!
Well said!! :)
I feel confused now.
@@mrm1885cleaners took a holiday?
Lol... must be laundry day! 😊
Lost weight too.
It makes me proud when a veteran takes his training, and experience to create a business that employs other veterans. The entire business idea uses the best aspects of innovation, and combines them to positively modify a 1990's vehicle into a modern, high-performance, vehicle. The product doesn't stop there. The Raglan already has features that are being implemented in the future. It makes the Raglan possess an anti-outmoded platform for the prospective buyer. My congratulations, and admiration to Joe, and his compatriots for their service, and post- military adequacy to compete with other manufacturers. Well done! My sincere thanks to Jay Leno for featuring the Raglan and its story to us all.
Hey Ryan - from the land of the Land Rover here in England - congratulations to you, Joe and the Raglan Motors Team. For note - I detect so much more interest in Landrovers here in the UK again - that's both the vintage ones and the new ones! What you have done is impressive!
😂 mate im in Scotland and litteraly everyone i know avoids LR like the plague. They are dying out in the UK the MOT database proves they are less popular than ever mainly because folk know the Japanese stuff humiliates LR vehicles. A Jimny can spank a defender on any terrain. You know fine well the reputation LR have here in the UK, its abysmal.
@@bigduphusaj162 I live in rural England. Land Rovers, old and new, are very popular here and far outnumber Japanese 4x4s. Reliability problems aren't as bad as people think for the newer models. I have a 7-year old Disco which has now covered 142,000 miles without any major issues. Older ones can be unreliable but are cheap and easy to fix.
Jay as a veteran with four combat deployments with Infantry line units....I really appreciate the respect you showed Joe, and your kind words about veterans. Your last comments regarding the populace not having to give up things was spot on. I'm not a car guy but watch your channel for the camaraderie. I guess that's the military in me! Thanks again Jay!
May God Bless you and your family. God Bless you for your service.
Jay your focus on our vets and their loyalty, patriotism, dedication to complete their job to completion best effort and so much m9re sure hit many of us former veterans squarely between our eyes! We thank you for your loyalty. What Ragan has accomplished sure is amazing in many ways. I'm not an electric car supporter for several reasons, but I certainly would consider a Ragland Defender!
Again our thanks for your Veteran Support!
Being an old guy who’s driven Land Rovers and worked on them, from the series ones through to the Defenders, the Raglan is absolutely fabulous, make no mistake! All credit to the guys that build them, they do a fantastic job.
The one featured on your show is a beauty and make no mistake.
I've worked with Joe and his brother and you could do an entire documentary just with what this guy did after the marines. These guys are true legends and that car is magnificent - I hope to be able to afford one, some day :D
Holy crap! Jay must have had a formal event to go to immediately after filming!😂 Thanks for the episode, Jay and crew; pretty rad vehicle! But I ask, what's the point of building an overlander that you can't overland?✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Most of the people who buy cars like this these days are only buying them for show. What these people actually want is a luxury cruiser, and that is exactly what they are getting here.
99% of the people who buy these cars will never use them off road. It is just how the market is.
Rk😊f
EXACTLY!
Their idea of off-road is parking in a friend's lawn when invited over for a BBQ@@ProTuneHD
Jay is Jay. Nothing fake with his personality. He has more cars than most collecters. I'm glad he is doing so well after his spill on his motor bike. He looked tired driving that Rag Land Motors Land Rover. Maybe the wind was drying his eyes out a bit. thanks Jay for highlighting that fine automobile. GOD bless you Mr.Jay Leno 🇺🇸
I think it's time to do a review on the Vincent Black Shadow because it's been such a long time since you guys have featured a motorcycle on the channel, Plus...It's one of the most famous and important motorcycles of the last century and definitely deserves that uncle Jay do a fully detailed review on it.
100% if he can find an imported UK one would be impressive indeed. Im sure someone famous that now lives in America has one of the prototypes that set the record. I cant remember who it is they were defo in a band in the 60s though
@@bigduphusaj162 Jay Leno has one but it's a normal road going version, And if he was able to feature that bike on the channel it would be pretty good
@@OmarDenarziyeah mate they things still look good now they still fast too not exaggerating they were doing 11sec quarters with decent riders. Unbelievable performance at the time they pushed the power balance up an entire 2 magnitudes by themselves.
It's so nice of Jay to do an episode for us while he's on vacation. 😂😁
Great of Jay to highlight a group of veterans doing this. Hopefully they’ll get some extra orders. Army in West Germany 1985-90. 🎖️
Can’t even imagine the number of comments about Jays LACK of a denim shirt ! … Great job Mr Comiskey and thank you all for your service !
I've long admired select vintage Range and Land Rovers.
To me, there is a noticable change in Jay's persona. I've been seeing Jay since the 1970s. I am concerned for his health.
Well, he's 1, getting older, second, the whole having his face set on fire, had rather expectedly, an effect on his health.
He did ask the same question 3 times about how the batteries are cooled.
@@shaggytallboy4982 I'm no engineer but I thought those questions were about different aspects of the cooling.
Great to see veterans going on to do amazing things. PS Thank you for your service!
Service. Job. Semantics.
yes thank you for drone striking innocent women and children and colonising the planet with bases in over 100 countries.. the US jingoistic bootlicking is nausiating
What a beautifully built vehicle. For me it's a 10 in every respect. Congratulations to the crew that brought this Defender to such a level of refinement. Another great review by Jay and his team. A+
Absolutely. The dash looks amazing and everything just looks "right." I am not a fan of EVs but I would totally rock this thing.
I like these guys as im ex UK military myself.. but a Land Rover refurbished by people who dont know about them then powered by a junk Tesla motor is one of the biggest turn offs in the UK. Im amazed Americans still bother refurbishing them they last 5yr between refurbs they are fraught with easily rotted materials and if theyve not glued and backed some of the Alloy up it will be needing another refurb in 3yr. Go have a look on UK green laner forums and even the experienced LR refurbishers the cars need constant attention. Seen a thousand LR refurbs that fell apart in months not even years.
Outstanding guys. Thanks for your service! That’s a fine machine you’ve built.
Thank you for your service and sacrifices
Jay good video , great to see vets in the industry. When are you going to do a shoe on your ‘57 Cadillac, hopefully soon❗️🇺🇸
awesome build! Thank you for your service!
I popped the hood on the first Land Rover I've ever messed with a little while back and started having old Buick Nailhead flashbacks from my wrench spinning days. They definitely favor those masterpieces of old automotive mechanical art. Just a slightly smaller version of those incredible engines. You can keep your electric motors. I'll always prefer my horsepower produced by a series of controlled explosions. Like any old real gearhead, true to tradition.
EVs are shocking offroad they overheat the lot. An absolute no no in the UK they fry up here when wading too and are the worst Boat Tow vehicles ever created they fry up on the ramps. Poor decision EV belongs in an EV chassis not an ICE chassis.
Thanks Mr. Leno for another amazing car review🙏🏽
I was picking up on Jay's humor...once again! "Previously Enjoyed." Yes and currently appreciated Sir! You were cracking me up the whole walkthrough... "Folks in LA get one wheel in the dirt and go...oh!" I love your wit, kindness and sincerity! This rig is awesome to Boot! Yes, thank you for your service Raglan Motors' Developers! You men are the true Heros!
Nice drive Jay! No clutch slippage at all! You are a smooth operator…
What a great idea. I wish these guys the best and total success!
So nicely done! Makes me want one…
Like the Landrover. Sweet 👍 Thanks Jay for sharing!
💯
Cool Land Rover Defender Jay, thanks. 😎👍😎
Great looking ride. Well done guys. Right on Jay.
This is a really nice build! Well done!!
That’s my boy Joe!! Way to go man.
British Car Services in Inglewood, CA sold me an absolute lemon Land Rover Defender. It was a nightmare to own breaking down immediately out of their driveway and weekly thereafter.
At the time, I didn't know what to look out for when buying and got taken advantage of. Finally got to sell it to another Defender seller, but at a huge loss.
Still in love with the trucks though; lesson learned for next time.
Great video, Jay. 🙂
Jay it's Always good to see you
Great program and great product.
Kudos to the teams, Jay's and Joe's👍👍
Thanks for the show, Enjoyed,Been a Rover fan for decades.
Slick looking ride, I’ll take 2!!
Thank You,Sir.Jay Leno.
I really do love and respect Mr. Leno as much as a stranger can.
Best wishes from Raglan Wales 🏴.
Nice work, Joe & Raglan team!
Beautifully presented vehicle. Good luck!
Great video Jay & the team !
Lack of denim was a surprise
Catching up now. Very cool.
OMG it is Jay in a different shirt! Great vehicle, great beach too.
Great color and interior. Looks like a quality build!
Jay dressed up today! In honor of his guest, perhaps? Thank you for your service!
I refreshed my sub page several times in the last couple hours and this video is still not showing in my feed . At least I was able to get here through my notifications . Thanks for the content Jay and team .
Very Nice build, designed with bags of good taste, beautiful colour combo 😻
a LR series with a Tesla motor is good taste? 😂 Man you aint from the UK, this vehicle would be considered completely taste free here another junk EV conversion like weve not had enough EV swap faililures over the last 5yr. Name me one good offroad EV.. Just one?
@@bigduphusaj162 Ok we get it, You hate Land Rover and you hate electric conversions.
wow, Jay you're looking sharp af!
Used to own a 1995 D90. Nice work.
Thanks Jay❤
Good on you, Jay.
Very nice example of an electric conversion with stock running gear. Glad to see it! Hand built cars are always higher quality than those built on an assembly line, just look at a home-built classic, or specialty shop-built car. No comparison with "manufactured" cars. Thank you, Mr. Leno, for showcasing a veteran-owned and operated business. They know the value of practicality and what really matters, they get it done well and, like he said "on time and under budget". ;-)
LOL, just realized the builder is using the term "motor" correctly; electric motor, gasoline engine.
Thanks Jay
Thanks for supporting our veterans Jay! ❤
Terrific effort.
Love the shirt Jay. Those rear seats could use some latches to keep them from flopping around in the wind.
Never would have heard of this vehicle if not for Jay
very good company and todays video jay.
Well, that was something to see. I like it. And...... THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR!!!! Well Done!!!! And Welcome Home!!!!
Great job lads...a big improvement on an Icon.
Fantastic vehicle from a great sounding company
Fitting that these guys are military vets, Raglan is a beach in NZ but that place is also named after Field Marshall Fitzroy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan. He was in the Napoleonic wars and Crimean war.
Raglan is not the most auspicious British military name - a byword for incompetence - not entirely unjustified for one of the architects of the disastrous Charge of the Light Brigade.
@@Tourist1967 He had quite a distinguished career over a period of 50-odd years until the Crimean War (by which time he was in his 60s) where he is best remembered for the debacle you mention, which unfortunately overshadows his many earlier successes.
Great Land Rover is in very good condition nice rebuild 👍
My late 90s Defender 90 had a Buick V8 with a bit over 260hp. It was the last year for the manual trans.
Nice Landy, love the green paint combined with the tan upholstery
Beautiful rig! I would have liked to see it on the dirt climbing a hill.
would get whooped by a £17k Jimny
Love the ensemble #JayLeno’sGarage
What's up with your shirt Jay?
I want one of those Raglans! The fact that it's also built by vets is huge!! (What happened to Jay's denim shirt?)
I hope they sell thousands with the exposure from this episode.
Love the shirt Jay! Nice...😁
nothing like given a heritage icon the new life it deserves
Nice ride! Someone must have changed the locks on jays denim room tho lol
amazing
Can I just say HOW GOOD JAY LOOKS IN A REGULAR SHIRT!!!!!! :)
Nice shirt Jay!
what a great way to go 4wheelin ......nice and quiet so you can hear what your vehicle/driveline/tires are doing 🤗
The horn works. It's a goat.
I'm sold
Way to go Joe!
When i lived in New Zealand i used to go to Raglan every weekend, loved the place. Wonder if these defenders are legally compliant in EU, would love to get one some day!
Another very cool video Jay! with a different shirt?
Someday I hope to bump into you in SoCal on my motorcycle Jay.
My favourite 4wd car, Land Rover Defender, and 110 type is just perfect🥰
Nice Welsh castle -raglan well worth a look.
Remember having a Connoly shop that would convert your interior to leather . They would do any make and model . They did an amazing job !
Cool ride! You guys should have take it off road.
Awesome
Wonder when Jay is going to review his demon 170.
This is a very rugged and handsome vehicle.
Hey Jay ! You looking great man , I see the weight loss ! Good work …
Enjoyed
LOL My partner who suffers in silence with my car enthusiast viewing, exclaimed: "Jay doesn't have a denim shop shirt on"!
Nice shirt Jay but I love the denim. Thanks
I'm half way through the episode - how much does one of these go for?
Even their website doesn't say how much.
Jay, Hows your Electric car upgrade doing?
Previously cherished is even better 😉.
Great ride. My pups would love that big rear! I love Defenders, but this makes me want to buy one. Thanks for YOUR service, Jay.
I love 'em too
Nice tan Jay! 🙂 ☀️
