  • A short review of the Adventure Spec mini fairing for enduro and trail bikes. It's been on my Yamaha WR250R for 7000km, so I take a look at what it's like to live with, ease of installation, positives and negatives.

    Nice video mate. I've just bought one for my WR too! Seems like it will be a good product. I like the idea that if I ever sell the bike, it's something I can keep for whatever I buy next

      Hey, nice one! That's a great point - it's super easy to swap the fairing from one bike to another, and it's a sturdy product so it should last for ages. Thanks for the positive comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. Happy trails on your WR!

    Great review thanks. Just wondering, in regards to difficulty of inserting your key, may I suggest using a good quality lubricant to make it easier! 😬

    Maybe you could relocate the ignition switch to the new AS dashboard? Do you get any headshake with handlebar mounting? Thanks, good review

      I have though about that, bit it would need to be a remote switch to retain the steering lock.
      Never had any issues with headshake or instability. 👍

    Thanks for the review. From where I stand, it doesn't look like you can adjust the plastic bit's angle independantly from the rest of the frame?
    Also, that phone holder looks quite nice; do you perhaps have a link to for it?

    • @ridefarwide
      @ridefarwide  Рік тому +1

      You can't adjust the white plastic screen part, just the angle of the whole fairing via the arms connected to the handlebars. Sorry, I don't have a link to the phone holder - found it on eBay. Thanks for watching.

    @ride far & wide - would you be willing to put a link to the auxiliary power you purchased?

      Sorry, don't have the original link I bought the power socket through eBay Australia. There are literally hundreds of similar ones available.

      I don't know. I use a mobile phone for navigation, not a tablet.

    i dont like how the brake cable touching this fairing. It will be rubbing and can make some damage to itself

    • @jotemenkir
      @jotemenkir 2 роки тому

      I have one. The brake cable fits quite perfectly in the little triangular empty space between the arms and the plastic screen. No rubbing. As already mentioned in the review, the only downside is getting to the ignition.

    Can you see the speedo while using this?

    • @ridefarwide
      @ridefarwide  Рік тому

      Yep, all the important bits, anyway. You might need to adjust the angle of the fairing, though.

    Riding at 40-70mph does it help with the wind buffeting?

    • @ridefarwide
      @ridefarwide  2 роки тому

      Wind noise and a little bit of buffeting is felt from about 60km/h. Doesn't really get too much worse above that - just more obvious. But it is variable depending on the angle of the fairing and your height.

      You can put a Givi clip on wind deflector on it. Just make sure you get the smallest one

    Great video - well done. Sadly, my experience on the KTM 500 EXC-F has been very negative, and I reviewed it as such. I'm glad it is working for you and you are happy with it! ua-cam.com/video/ExCWVXFvILE/v-deo.html
