Haven't seen interactive content like this in years. Super interested to check out all those scenarios!
Yeah, it's always nice to see interactive videos like this one.
Last interactive video I watched was In space with Markiplier
mine was the cgp grey rock paper scissors one@@FatMeme_Lord
it used to be more common back when you could put video annotations
@@zombieslayer1468 Same!
This man is the napoleon of alternate history content
More like the gustavus adolphus, napoleon has to be reserved for alternate history hub
... So he invades other history channels, taking them over and forcing others to give him their ad revenue? Eventually, his actions will catch up to him, and he'll face five separate lawsuits, losing on the fifth one and then forced into exile, until he creates a new UA-cam channel, in which he is then swiftly sued again, this time permanently banned from UA-cam, until he dies in his 50s from depression?
Or he's like napoleon in that he is 5'9"?
@@snomcultist189Nahh possible history is king 👑.
Real
no he isn't napoleon. napoleon had skill issues and Possible History doesn't (at least so far)
We now need an interactive version for World War II. PLEASE I NEED IT
You have been pioneering the a new era of alternate history on UA-cam. Though not all your videos are "realistic", its still very much appreciated what you have done in this community.
wait really? I wouldnt know, he's the only person with this kind of content that I watch
It's only a accusation@@ShadowOfThePit
who the FUCK cares about "Realisim"? I swear this sudden obsession with smearing alt history channels is pissing me off. Also the notion of "Realisim" itself is just a bullshit term with no meaning. Some true stories in life sound totally made up but we know it happened.
I love this type of content at it shows common 'what ifs' combined together, essentially narrating a more grounded hoi4 experience
Choose your own adventure books were some of my favorites when I was little. This format is so cool, cannot understate that, and hope we may get future video scenarios in the layout this one got. Great job on setting it up, I had no idea something like this was even possible before seeing it
I fucking LOVE THIS. This idea of interactive alt-history is so cool and is done so well
It's interesting to see this kind of thing of "making decisions through going down a tree of various short videos" because I vaguely remember something similar in that concept existing way back when annotations were a thing. Neat to see it return.
Love your work man! Keep up beign awesome
This form of content is SO INNOVATIVE
I feel like the best people are the ones who try their best to bring something new to a genre whilst not detaching themselves from it completely
This is sick, the choose your own adventure format fits so well with your channel
Super cool concept, but I think navigation would be easier if the videos at the end of the various timelines had links to their most recent divergences, if that makes any sense
It totally does, and I will keep this in mind for the next version! That would absolutely be a great improvement on the concept.
@@possiblehistoryThe end links also don't work on my mobile app. You should put the links either in the description or a pinned comment.
@@possiblehistoryCan you make a video everything went perfect for Britain please!
@@possiblehistory Maybe you could order it like the following:
(1/2, 2/2, 2/2,) Chose the first option, then the second, then the second after that.
I've always loved UA-cam interactive content (e.g. CGP Grey's rock, paper, scissors probability videos) and I'm really excited that this format has come to the alternate history community! There are endless possibilities, and this particular series seems very well made; keep up the good work, sir!
I love this concept! Please make more of this!
This is the perfect refutation of Josh Sullivan and the BEST video you've done to date. Amazing work!
Wouldn't it be funny if we make it as historical as possible instead of making alt history :p
I don't understand what you're asking right now
@@minestar2247 There's apparently a controversy in the alternate history community currently, at least on UA-cam, about whether alternate history content should exclusively be for the sake of contructing realistic scenarios, or also for entertainment by making one's that are less plausible
@@Snqwy both can be cool, it just depends on tastes. But it's known that this channel mostly does realistic scenarios, with the exception of a few hilarious videos
@@minestar2247 This one althist guy named Josh Sullivan History kickstarted this whole thing, and has since then doubled down on his position. I mean, he outright made a video called "Possible History is Garbage" which saw universal disliking from even his own fan base
@@minestar2247the comment is stating that the we the people should make it as historically accurate instead of making it an alternate history.
This is such a fun video, haven't seen this type of choose your own adventure stuff on UA-cam in years.
I was kinda expecting the historical route to have a crazy twist but alas.
Also I would be so down for expanding this idea out and making a load more choices like Bulgaria being neutral or joining the CP, Russia losing/winning Tannenberg, or hell even Denmark joining the Entente instead of staying neutral. That being said I can only imagine how big such a project would be and how long it would take to make.
Just finished the whole series. Thanks for making this. It was honestly the most interesting alternate history series I've ever seen, and you can attribute that to the interactive nature of the series.
Love this idea, hope to see more like this in the future? Love of your channel, great content as always
After watching every scenario I have to say that I loved them. Incredible content ❤
omg i love this type of videos please make more!
BROO THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS SO COOL, YOURE GREAT
This is amazing and I always loved these videos, I hope you make more
To ask a question I asked before (which you likely didn't see due to when I asked it), if possible, can you upload the maps you use in your alternate history scenarios where various UA-camrs decide what happens in different peace conferences? They are well made, they provide a lot of options, and I'd find them interesting to be able to create some of my own personal alt-history scenarios using those maps.
Also, I hope this series goes well - it's an interesting concept, and hopefully one that continues into the future, given how it means that people participating can react to each change, rather than it happening all at once (although at the same time, the alt-history scenarios based on polls in forms have a different advantage - that it's always going to be easier to put in more choices there).
Love this new video format!
Honestly this is genius.
First because such interactive scenarios are a very original idea.
And also, this is genius from the yt algorithm point of view because if every viewer watches every videos it would be like having the view of thirteen videos in one, which is quite good honestly.
Hope we have more of that and continue the great work please 👍.
I am so hyped about this project. good idea
This was great! Thanks so much.
This is perfect I love your channel
Now THIS is impressive. And what I wanted from alternate history. Well done.
I really much enjoy that concept! Please more of that with other alternative scenarios.
I've never seen an interactive alt history video! This is a really cool concept.
I remember when this channel just had a few thousand subscribers and now look how far you have come, and wow your like a content mass producing machine
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of these type of videos… a surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Very cool concept, I like it!
This is the best video I see in 2024 for now!!! Incredible idea and Incredible video!!!
I've finally seen every ending, hope to see more videos like these in the future!
This was really good. Consider doing it in the future.
Ok really enjoyed this. Please do some more like this in the future.
Really cool idea. It would be amazing to see this format again
This is such a cool and unique idea for alt history, can’t wait for what you have in store for us in the future
This is so cool, I wish he would do it with the napoleonic wars and you’re napoleon
If this video is a success, I very well might!
Oh this is a fun format!
This is brilliant! The question is tho, will you be making alt history vids out of these scenarios? Especially the quick central power victory one, that NEEDS a vid.
This is probably the coolest video concept I’ve ever seen
Just finished watching all endings and it was incredible bravo 👏👏👏
Daamn, this is an increadible concept, I love it
interactive videos are so cool!!
Amazing idea! do this more often
Don’t let Josh or anyone shame you. Your the best!
Really intresting, coming to do this more times.
thanks dude❤
This is a good one!
Now THIS IS EPIC
This is an amazing idea, finally something that uses youtube in a new way
DUDE THIS IS SO SICK
Cool video, please make more interactive history videos.
As someone who got all of the endings, I can't wait for the next version.
This is such a cool idea
I love how he's like please pick one.come on.please.
This reminds me of that old feature UA-cam had with the “choose your story” videos where there were hyperlinks on screen that could be any shape or form
I miss that feature
Called annotations
This reminds me of Jreg's centricide 7 and I love it!
Ok. This is awesome
There were a couple more alternative paths I wanted to see;
1) France the aggressor
(France is seen as the clear aggressor by the UK & US as it attacks Germany who went the political path to resolve the situation just like in the Franco-Prussian war)
2) Germany went East first and planned to do so with bicycle battalions and better integration with Austrohungry
(before the saretavo bicycle battalions as well as an integrated command were created, which aside from making Serbia a 1-round affair, is done so that a huge pincer from north and south to the Prypiet marshes can be launched as soon as war starts.
Two sub-options here are a lightning attack/counter-attack into France so that the industrial areas of southern Germany are better protected and France is a bit more cautious say directed at Neufchatue.
Or the German fortresses at Metz and Strasburg are joined up into a defensive line.
Either way, the German goal was to go east, capture resources & set up a buffer zone before Russia could mobilize fully then use thier superior train network to pivot west, along with any propaganda and political capital for being the defender against French aggression to delay the UK and retain international trade, at which point with the entente focusing on land easily traversable by armored cars & bikes as Germany has just used in Russia, Germany instead goes through the Arden. (next choice of which side dose Italy join, are there German troops there too)
I would love a part 2 on this. Something like: What would WW2 be like if the central powers swiftly won WW1?
Hooray its here
This is really cool
Possible History, The Best Alternate History UA-camr of Early 2030's.
What a unique idea!
This is such a cool and creative idea, no wonder josh is jealous of you
You,good sir, are a genius
This is where the fun begins.
Man this was pretty fun
This will go crazy
I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!
Excited asf I'll be honest
i just watched all endings may i say this is a good video the whole lot were
@PH excellent thinking! You have just redefined “power to the people”. 😂
I still have only 6/7 endings. Been working on this for a little bit andI can't get that last ending. Numbering the choices has helped.
man I love videos like this, as a weeb these remind me of visual novels
Suggestion: What if harold Godwinson won the battle of hastings?
better suggestion harrald the hard
wins
and beats both William the bastard and Harold Godwinson
Amazing idea,
This is soo godamn cool
Next time when you're doing this could you put the links of the choice videos in the description for those watching on phone?
Yoooooooo, it's just like Markiplier! Tysm for making this!
I feel like you could expand this/make a different video on the interwar and possibly even ww2
I went through all the scenarios and I think that the idea is good. There were some questionable decisions such as the militant germans giving up alsace for peace but it was overall good.
I would also like to see this done with WW2.
Please make branching continuations from all the endings into all the possible WW2's.
Awesome
Love the idea however, from what I've seen, links within the videos don't work on my most phones or tablets, such as mine. Could you please put the links in the description or in a comment
I really like this idea and I hope Josh apologises to you
Will there be more interactive content in the future?
Could you do a video on an alternate history of the post cold war era kinda like the video you did on an alternate history from 1453 in the perspective of France.
It could take place in like 1992-2007ish. The reason I think this video could be a good one is because of Russia's closer western ties and also, to a lesser extent China's western ties. Both countries were becoming warmer with the west.
I think it wouldn't be an unrealistic idea - especially in the early 90s straight after the collapse of the Soviet Union - that China, North Korea and other communist nations like Laos, Vietnam or Cuba would collapse as well and there would probably be hope that Russia could integrate with the West or at least become a nation not closely aligned with the West but not an enemy to the West either, Kinda like India in real life.
I think there is a good amount of stuff to talk about considering it's something so recent and this channel doesn't usually have stuff so recent since there isn't much that could be changed in such a short amount of time.
This was an amazing idea for a video u should do this to ww2 and maybe even the ww2 caused from victory of the central powers caused from the best scenario for them in this video (not easy victory fyi)
great video, next time, I would like a few more "historical" outcomes, but it is quite interesting to see how often the allies actually lose, and how the Russians are doomed anyway.
How many times have I returned this video to check all the branches? Yes.
intresting idea
Should do another one of these
Maybe the Cold War
WW2
Or Napoleonic Wars
Or even the Russian Civil war
Here's a fun scenario what if the great Greek plan( Catherine the Great of Russia's plan to restore the Byzantine Empire) succeeded
What if everything went perfect for Italy?
