Ha ha--we're actually thinking so too; that was the "try out" area, but we may need to get one. Best of all, the seller told us Amazon sells standalone pieces that you can hang these from--think of a banana hanger to keep your produce on, so that you don't have to find a secure beam or branch.
They always put on a great showing. They swap themes each weekend, but with the permanent buildings they COULD be there year round. We'd love to visit in a winter setting.
That was an awesome looking ren festival! Looks like you enjoyed yourselves! I enjoyed the one I went to back in the summer! Love the baby dragons! Hope y'all are having a great week!
Thank you for coming along and spending the virtual day at the faire with us! Also, really gald you enjoyed yours too and hoping you continue to visit. Oh man, it's amazing our house doesn't look as packed with those baby dragons as that booth does. ha ha ha
I was waiting for Tom to participate in the Test of Strength! Next time? That little "lost cat" sign was both sad and cute at the same time... Mission accomplished 🥲 lol Great festival tour!
You kidding? I only ever do the little kiddie strength test that line went around the TARDIS and back! lol The lost cat sign came from the same shop as the not-so-fresh produce, so I think I know why he ran off. Ha ha ha Thank you for checking this out and virtually joining us at the faire!
I took my family the first weekend and it was a good time, also had to make sure to grab a turkey leg. I keep hoping I catch you guys out at one of these events so I can say hi.
Nice--how was the first weekend? We've noticed the first and last can often be super packed which makes braving a turkey leg line all the more intense. And don't worry, we'll absolutely be back, so it's just a matter of time before you find us wandering around!
@@DoYouNerd The first weekend was nice, wasn't super crowded when we went mid-morning but because it had been a while since it rained it was super dusty and dry.
@@lordxibalba825 We've had a faire visit like that--the super dry and dusty. We've also had the rainy and muddy day; don't know which I prefer, but it's yet to ruin the day and hey, our clothes end up bringing home loads of souvenir dirt and mud--ha ha ha
Oh awesome--what a great festival to start as your first too!! Very glad the weather was good, but the dust, ha ha, that CAN be trying in some areas (the barbarian grounds and jousting arena, am I right? lol). We've spent some muddy days in faires too--but, I won't lie, rain or shine, we've yet to have a bad visit at any.
@@DoYouNerd I wore my cloak from Stansborough (the same company that made the LOTR cloaks) to the renfest, I felt like a million bucks in that thing 😅. It definitely needs a dry cleaning now for sure. Good time all around though!
@@googleaccount8865 Oh that is so awesome!! We'd love to visit a faire in colder temps to rock an epic cloak without melting in it. Sounds like you absolutely ruled this visit!!
Thank you! And absolutely--we've got a few videos out for our previous visits. It's one of our favorites too; and just close enough to make for a day trip as well.
Very cool of the fair to have the movie rating posted by the stage so you know if you should take your kids to it or not. The chess area is cool too. I dont think they had that in previous years. Why didn't you get the hammock chairs?
Agreed; it's nice to have some stuff still be family friendly, but also have some shows for the more (less) mature crowds while waiting on the kiddos in the zipline queue. Honestly, I can't recall on the chess area, but I adored how they had monks playing! Yeeeeah, at about $120 (I think) per chair, it wasn't a take home...buuuuut, we ARE considering them because they'd be great to get into with a book and pretend we'll read anything before nodding off.
Glad you enjoyed--thanks so much for checking this out! We really wanted to show off a good variety of things to do, for all ages, and this still doesn't touch on everything. The KCRF is packed with activities and shows!!
This is very cool that you went to this event and you dressed up for the occasion. Thanks for sharing. I like they showed respect for the tree by having you tie ribbons to a net, instead of pinning it to the tree. Very cool, I have to say, I especially like the mystical aspects of it. Between dragons and faeries,
Thank you! The faires are so much fun anyway, but it's such a different experience when you dress up. The interactions are so fun! Agreed--it's always good to see faires like this, or a close-to-us theme park respect trees and work around them and work to KEEP them around. Aw yeah, after our own hearts! The mystical elements are so much fun to see and best of all, watching the kids (us included) light up makes the day!
I’ll be honest I don’t really think this kind of stuff is my kind of deal but I also think with the right people it would be a great day out .. anyone else feel uncomfortable with one of the performer’s attire lol, dude was leaving nothing to the imagination
Oh, there's PLENTY of outfits that leave little to nothing to the imagination--ha ha! I think you're spot on; while not for everybody, oh no doubt, you get that select group of friends to go and it becomes this unexpectedly magical and perfect day. It's like busting out a certain tabletop or video game that, any other time is just "all right," but that one time, that one group, and it's way more fun than it has any right to be.
I think my favourite part was those awesome hammock chairs! I really need one of those 😮

I always remember doing that pole ribbon dance thing in elementary ❤

Wasn’t expecting to see Doctor Who Tardis there but there it was 😂
It doesn't always take him where he wants to go, but it always takes him where he needs to be. 😁
