A big shoutout to Zzounds for letting us borrow this pedal! Definitely, one we have been interested in for a long time. You can check it out on their site with this affiliate link: www.zzounds.com/a--3980649/item--DUNM306
I’m subbed! Great video! I now know how to use mine! The way you explained the exp pedal is the part I’ve been looking for! Nobody else explained it as well as you! Thanx!
Thanks Patrick! Appreciate the kind words and the sub. Glad you found the video useful. The expression pedal moves this pedal from awesome to exceptional.
I watched several other videos of this pedal before yours and can say hands down, you guys gave the best presentation of what it’s capable of. Definitely gonna get one! Liked & subbed - hope your channel continues to grow!
I have, and absolutely love my Poly Blue Octave, so someone might assume that this is a bit of purchase validation for me, but I see it as more like you guys recognizing the potential of a very cool, and honestly pretty versatile, sonically powerful/useful pedal. I've used my Poly Blue on a number of instruments (guitar, bass, drums, tablas, vocals, and more). As you mentioned, the fuzz, even in the mono mode, is kind of glitchy, reminiscent of the original, but at least my personal blue box fuzz is still much more of a wild child. Excellent video, and even at almost a half hour, it still seems like only scratching the surface. In the process of recording and making demos, I've found different "corners of the room" on that pedal work well with different instruments. Definitely having it on your board (or accessible, if you don't use a board) can either morph with the various functions you can get out of it, being a quick solution to a number of potential needs, but also creatively can find uses when getting a sound, and can add nuances, not just over the top sounds (which it can obviously do as well)!
This is a great demonstration. Thanks! The pedal seems incredibly versatile and, to my ears, sounds excellent. However, I have read some strong criticism regarding tracking / latency issues in comparison to, say, an Electro-Harmonix POG. I'd be interested to hear your opinions or those of other viewers regarding this point. Much gratitude again for the video!
We did an episode on the blue box when we first started the channel. Still one of our personal favorites! What a fun and kind of unusable box. I agree that they nailed it with this pedal. Had to watch the video to see which “Strat” we were using lol
@@kosmicwizard we have not, but with the DM2 being one of my all-time favorite delays the dm101 looks awesome. I use the DM2 with a Source Audio Nemesis on my board. Both of those look great and I wouldn't be surprised to see us check them out at some point. Of course, the DLS EchoTour we use on the show is an amazing little analog delay that has become a house favorite.

Thanks Nick. Appreciate it! The poly blue is awesome. It was a keeper for us!

BY FAR THE BEST DEMO OF THIS PEDAL I'VE SEEN. I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS THIS VERSITALE WITH THE ADDITION OF AN EXPRESSION PEDAL. THANKS GUYS!🎸🎸🎸🎸
Oh man, the expression pedal takes this pedal over the top! Thanks

That little giggle and smile...is EXACTLY what I did when he turned the fuzz on lol
Thanks for the comment. Reminded me that I have to work this pedal onto my board!
Definitely gonna have to acquire one of these! Great ep! 🤘👀🎸
Thanks Thurston! I am not going to try and talk you out of it. I imagine we will be acquiring this one as well.
The MXR Sugar Drive would work excellent with the Poly Blue Octave.
Just WOW!
This pedal is super good. We kept it around!

Love the pedal, MXR finally made the glorious Blue Box useable.
About your Strat color....😗
Yes... it is a Strat copy....

I absolutely love my pbo, especially with my boss re202, its pretty much my entire mod, delay and reverb section, that I run into my wet amp. Cheers.
It is a great pedal. I have it ready to put on my board too, but just haven't had the time to squeeze it in yet.
@@PJandtheBeard have you tried re202 or dm101 yet?

Powerful dudes….
We couldn't get over how powerful this pedal became once the expression pedal was added!
👍👍
That does everything except figure your taxes.
#truestory It is not often we get this excited about a pedal anymore!
It's learning to help me with my taxes.
MXR…Or Carbon Copy Delay
The carbon copy delay is a great pedal.
