So we’re just gonna ignore the fact that the woman who’s raised him was feeding him all these lies? We’re all just one big happy family now and everyone goes home happy? Guarantee ya that woman influenced the biological mother to walk away when she was only 16 and didn’t have the mind for adult decision making.

She literally passed for NOT abusing her child and for NOT leaving her child willingly but keep crucifying the mother who was 15-16 years old. She didn’t have it all figured out and mistakes were made but I bet it’s more to this story than we are being told. Something isn’t right here.

She was 16 and old enough to act grown and have sex so she was old enough to raise her son. I can't stand the excuse of being a young mom I was younger than that and I busted my butt graduated 2 years early got a full scholarship and became a nurse so the dropping out of school leaving the child because I was to young is nothing but an excuse! I'm glad she passed for the sons well being but she took off and left her son! She had 2 more kids within a couple years of leaving him and she didnt try very hard to be in his life which is even more infuriating. One kids not enough to fight for but you kept the other 2.

@@amberyoung5950 If only every single human on earth reacted to a situation the same way, that’s not how life works though. You took one point and went off on a tangent. She passed for “not willingly leaving her child”. I’m sure you truly know what that means. If it was against her will that means she was forced to right? Take the WHOLE story into account instead of cherry picking 1 detail to make a point. It’s bigger than that. Also his family told him all of the horror stories about her that weren’t even true and he didn’t allow for her to reconnect with him which makes sense if the allegations were true but they weren’t! He was lied to! Put all the blame on mom though…

I don't know, but I'm not sure she was necessarily lying. I believe that the mother was inexperienced and did some things that seem intentional. Then she up and ran off (they didn't test her on that) and didn't try to see her son until he contact the show about her. Therefore, I believe the grandmother probably assumed that she did those things on purpose. However, there is the big red flag that he called his grandmother "mom," add that to her being a mom at 16 herself, made me think she was trying to relive the mother son relationship now that she was ready and she took advantage and lied. The whole thing is messed up

That grandmother needs to take responsibility for putting it in her son’s head that his mother was an evil person. I don’t believe he remembered at 3 years old his mother trying to kill him when he was only 3 months old, he was influenced to believe at that age that his mother really did try to do this. Yes the mother could’ve tried harder to be in her son’s life, but I think deep down she was just deeply ashamed of leaving him and thought he wouldn’t want anything to do with her anyway. I hope they have a much better relationship and they were able to move past all of this.

I have mixed emotions about it. It is completely unfair that they took him from this young mother!!!! Why did no one mention she got pregnant by a 19 year old? How was the grandma able to get forgiven for literally alienating this young man from his mother?
I truly believe even with those questions in the air.. they need to let it go and move on because this young man is not looking at those questions and to put those questions in his head will destroy any trust he has for his grandma. At this point they need to keep going forward and support him in everything he does and when he is older he can face whatever facts he believes is relevant. Great job Steve Wilkos and crew; I truly believe they felt comfort there, and can find peace thanks to the show.

I believe she was a six-year-old kid with postpartum depression and didn’t know how to raise a baby, so everyone around her told her she needed to leave and she couldn’t be a good mother yet. So what grandma and the dad did was take her son feed him the lies and traumatize him so he wouldn’t wanna be around her.
