Thanks for this video...I haven't been to Gettysburg in almost 3 years, it's probably been more than 35 years since I've been to the bridge. I spent 4 wonderful years in college there!
I've visited quite a few covered bridges and all of them have something carved into them. Very cool bridge with a great story as well as an interesting truss design. All I've visited were either Burr Arch or Queenpost designs.
Legend has it 3 confederate soldiers were hung from the rafters. I do not understand people who feel the need to deface property that does not belong to them especially historically significant property. They must to have been raised by wolves & i would like to slap them
I have taken to calling the path that leads into the woods "the path of faces." Back in the woods, there is a large dead tree surrounded by dead vegetation. There are not just human spirits lurking the area.
Hey man I really enjoy your videos! I live in California but I'm from Pennsylvania! If you ever get the chance to go into New Freedom PA. I'd love to see a video from there....... yes there is haunted places
the paranormal tour groups all say a man named Tennessee stands on the end of the bridge and if you put a lit cigarette on the railing, his spirit takes a drag from it. i think it has something to do with the breezes around the creek.. if i go there again, i'll light up a joint, and say here Tennessee, smoke this my man lol
I've done a EVP SESSION here, i received a lot of vocies coming through my sb7 spirit box and my K2 meter was going crazy.... I heard not far (within walking distance) from that bridge is a old hospital.
house right up the road was a field hospital, was for sale ten years ago... its said so many amputations happened at that house that limbs covered the whole bottom floor windows up to the second floor. i did a k2 reading in the grass across from this house. now its posted no tresspassing. but i got reading from a confederate. i asked if he was in the batte and the k2 lit up. i asked union, no light, confederate, lit up. named states they were from, said PA just to test it, no light, florida, nothing, ohio again to test. nothing, georgia nothing, north carolina and it lit up, i repeated NC and it lit up. i was with a tour group and had witnesses. using the lights of the k2 i found out he wasnt killed in the war, he had a wife, 2 kids and a dog. was cool to ask if he had pets, cat? no light, dog? it lit up!
The Wandering Woodsman It's out in Bucks County in new hope . I make a video of it on my channel like 4 months ago .I think lol it's Pretty cool and was a fun ride
Lol my name was engraved inside in 1976 while I was going to Gettysburg Sr High alot of my friends were to but the bridge washed out yrs later so the floor boards are new n a few of the siding planks as well. In all the times we ever partied out there we never had any paranormal experiences. Our initials habe been gone for ages now
that is not the original bridge.. the original bridge got flooded out by the creek along time ago and they built a new bridge sometime ago.. but people can go there at night... i was there at night a few times... the park there closes aat 9 or 10 i believe
I have a picture from a co worker in front of the bridge and there is a what looks like a horse with its head down towards a person who is next to it. They said no one else was on the bridge and i believe them. Its a very interesting picture
no respect for our heritage! makes me sad. if you are interested there are two covered bridges near my place in berks county, the pleasantville and spangsville bridges, about a mile apart from each other. both are operating bridges.
Your allowed to go out to Sacks Bridge at night . we been going there for years . the story goes if you put a cig. on the rail the ghost will puff of it or knock if off the rail. Just like the Park from the battlefield . You can go out there till late evening . we've stayed till 10 - 11 at night . your allowed to go where you want except on private property that is owned by home owners . There were some young kids putting cigs on the rail and on the bridge a young kid 18 or 19 trying to carve his name and I did ask him not to do that but I doubt that did any good . We travel from North Wisc. to Gettysberg every year . Devil's Den is my favorates spot and the peach orchard and little round top .
Beautiful bridge and awesome history. Wish people stop destroying our historical places.
Why do people always think they have to deface hallowed ground. Sad. Thanks for video. Keep up the great job.
Thanks

Beautiful design and thanks for going it’s got to be cold.

Thanks, I'll try to get there someday
Awesome historic bridge. It's sad about the graffiti though.
I've smelt the smoke on the bridge..but it was definitely cigar smoke and not from General Lee. He neither drank nor smoked.

My tour group smelled the cigar smoke. Of course no one in the group was smoking anything.

Jason's Journeys very true, people vomit as they walk past it from the amount of energy

I was there on a nighttime paranormal tour and we smelled cigar smoke.
I don't know my history very well. I was wondering PA is so far north isn't it's possession Union?

Edward Moyers
It would isn’t on park grounds
The bridge was restored with nearly 90% off its original truss and lattice in place and rededicated on July 21, 1997.

THAT IS DISPICABLE DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE
CARVING THEIR NAMES ON THE HISTORY PLACES LIKE THAT.
no respect for our heritage! makes me sad.

I've been thinking about doing a series on covered bridges, we'll see.
Two sprirts of civil war soldiers behind the tree cutting truck
I thought I saw 3
If you look carefully you can see them! OMG

So the 3 confederate soldiers are still hanging around
You'll have to bring a spirit box if you want to contact any civil war soldiers.
as in Goldman???no wonder its haunted
