“I need!! I need!! A butter sammich!” ❤️❤️😭😭😭😭 so freaking cute I love that age… most people disagree with me, but I love toddlerhood. They’re becoming their own people with ideas and they start talking! I loved the video but that was the icing on the cake 😂👍🏻 I have four kiddos myself
I agree, I love toddlerhood 😂 it’s chaotic, but it’s also one of the sweetest ages as they step into exploring the world in a new kind of way. Willow is 3 now 😢 soon I’ll be out of toddlerhood. It’s so very bittersweet
My daughter has started using wool covers for overnight, whether over a fitted diaper or even a pocket diaper (talk about a fluff butt!). Main thing is that it works and she never has wet sheets in the morning.
I’ve been especially loving your content lately. Thank you so much for your insight! My little man is 9 months and a heavy front wetter, and I’ve been wondering if flats would be a better night time solution for us.
There are some awesome performing flats out there. Some can be pricey though. I’ve heard great things about wahm stretchy hemp flats. They’re definitely a luxury item but I’ve heard great things about them. Fruit of the womb seems to be a popular brand. It’s next on my list to try!
Yes! I’m working with Petite Crown to do a review. I’m seeing how it wears first so I can get a better idea of the quality. But that should be up in April or May!
This video is exactly what I needed right now. We've got a (tiny, not even 9kg yet. Size of an average 10-month old at a push) 16 month old boy, tummy sleeper (With his knees under him and bum in the air!) That is a heavy wetter. We've used eco disposables for naps and bed for ages but financial hiccups are pushing us to try to use cloth full time. £8 for a 42 pack of nappies adds up big time when he needs 4 in 24hrs. We're working with what we have for now but want to expand our stash to accommodate (Especially given I am 27 weeks pregnant...). Right now we found a bambooty night nappy works, and an Alva pocket with a terry-flat pad-folded works really well for us. We had some hemp inserts but found they actually held less than our microfiber stuff after 10+ washes. So I think we got lied to there. So hard to find hemp stuff in the UK that isn't super costly. :( Our terry flats are really cheap, not great quality, but do the job. And in the day we use low quality muslin flats with some one-sized covers (Blueberry capri, a rumparooz and some Petit Lulu covers, since we grabbed some to try on offer and not got around to buying more yet...). Does the trick so far. We had awful smell issues with AIO's and inserts, no matter what we tried. Flats seem to work better.
Jay's Nest I am constantly looking for solutions for my heavy wetters, I cosleep too and I’m sooo tired of cleaning sheets haha. I change my son Wolf (7months) when he feeds, but literally if he sleeps more than 4 hours at a time he leaks unless he is in a workhorse. My 19month Old can go 8hours with a folded flat.
I enjoyed the stains! Lol. Thank you for this video because I learned why I'm getting leaks in my diapers. Because the inside is too saturated in the front and because I can't stuff anymore inserts in mine because it doesn't hold "bulk". I must try the ones you are using now
Thank you so much for this video! I am about to buy my newborn stash and I find your advice invaluable! I swear I am not looking for the Goldilocks diaper and mixing styles to see which is better, but my nesting instincts are kicking in and I just can’t wait to start prepping these beauties! 🤣🤣
If you feel nesting then prep away 😜 it’s the best time to get all of that done! I kind of like that nesting kick. It’s really convenient to get things done lol. I could use some of that nesting energy 😂 I need the motivation to pack up this house. We’re moving on the 21st
They’re very comparable. I find my geffen to hold a little more, but that’s not really a science lol. I might have to actually test their absorbency. I think they’re pretty close and I enjoy them both!
@@JaysNest did you end up testing their absorbency? I tested my Geffenbaby super absorber plus and it only held around 100ml but I didn't do a proper test most likely.
You can put some prefolds Down on the bed or a changing pad or one of those puppy pad type things. I took the big waterproof pad they put on the hospital bed when you give birth and line my daughters crib with it and put a few prefolds down we have left from sizes she outgrew if we're having a lot of leaks
It preforms pretty well. It’s a microsuede so it doesn’t get pilly overtime. I find all stay dry materials to not be completely dry. I find it to perform decently though! It keeps her stay dry enough lok
The material is kind of similar to Alva since it’s a microsuede. My alvas have gotten pilly over time but my mama koalas have not. I think the inner lining is better compared to Bumgenius
At night since i cosleep to prevent mess on my bed sheets i use kid pee pads reuable ones i lay him on that just incase i havent had issues since trying some of your tricks but i still do it in case
Hey Jay! Awesome video as always! I have a question on your Geffen boosters ... do you dry them in the dryer? And do they stay nice and flat or do the edges krinke? Thanks!
A lot of people define a heavy wetter by hours. Example, “My baby leaks out of the diaper in an hour” That’s confusing though. It’s vague and doesn’t explain what heavy wetting means. I personally think a heavy wetter is a child that outpees their diapers constantly. Most people consider 15+ Oz or more to be a heavy wetter. A lot of AIOS hold about 12-14oz so if your baby outpees those then I think it could be safe to say that they’re a heavy wetter.
I have a 14 month old boy who’s a heavy wetter. I’m trying to use your link to try the diaper junction bamboo flats but it’s not letting me put it in the cart 🥴
I use both in pockets. I reach for flats before my prefolds thoigh. Some flats I like are stretchy flats, GMD muslin, nickis muslin, nickis bamboo, diaper rite bamboo, geffen Jersey hemp
I'm 16, so I have quite a while before I have children, but I am considering cloth diapering when I do have kids. The question I have is, when should you start buying the diapers, so you have enough when the baby is born?
2 videos in 24 hours? Girl, you're killing it!

Love your videos and your brutality honest 😂
Keep it up!

Nick Thomm I for real Laughed Out Loud when she said that

Haha, the cupboard intro, love it!
Love your videos! This should be Cabinet Jabbers with Jay. 😂
Yessss 😂🙌🏼
This is crazy! I literally asked this question in a fb group earlier today!
No way? this came with perfect timing then!
Love geffen flats, im loving it for night time. I use it with a geffen booster as for my 8mth old. So glad I recently got them .
Yas, They’re great quality products! 🙌🏼
Loved that ending.
They’re always requesting “butter sandwiches 😂”. Gotta love toddlers

Love your down to earth videos! Mom life, I can so relate! Please say you are doing a review of the petit crown diaper!?! It is cute!

Honestly I find hemp not that great, it's thin and can hold a bit but for price I haven't found it to reduce leaks as reliable as I was hoping.
My favorite UA-camr in the cloth diaper category
Fun personality very entertaining and thoughtful , informative
Keep up the good work !
That’s so kind of you to say. Thank you for the support 💕
I needed this video
It’s a Jay Jabbers so it’s messy 😂 hopefully there’s something helpful in there. This is just my nighttime solution for now ❤️

How does geffen compare to thirsties hemp inserts? I have tons of thirsties that I love.
How to deal with trial and error? Is the error always a leak and bedsheets wash and change? Should I just increase the amount of sheets I have 😆

How does the inner lining of the Mama Koala perform? :) is it really stay-dry?
It preforms pretty well. It’s a microsuede so it doesn’t get pilly overtime. I find all stay dry materials to not be completely dry. I find it to perform decently though! It keeps her stay dry enough lok
@@JaysNest thanks! I don't like the lining of Alvas :( interested to try Mama Koala!

Hey Jay! Awesome video as always! I have a question on your Geffen boosters ... do you dry them in the dryer? And do they stay nice and flat or do the edges krinke? Thanks!
This was so helpful, thank you! Where did you get that Mother Earth diaper!? 😍😍
I think the Facebook group is called Go green Cloth Diapers!
Jay's Nest Thank you! I will definitely look it up 😍
What do you find more exorbitant the Geffen baby hemp flat or the nickies nickers hemp stretchy flat?
Hey. What defines heavy wetter and normal wetter.
A lot of people define a heavy wetter by hours.
Example,
“My baby leaks out of the diaper in an hour”
That’s confusing though. It’s vague and doesn’t explain what heavy wetting means. I personally think a heavy wetter is a child that outpees their diapers constantly. Most people consider 15+ Oz or more to be a heavy wetter.

Thank you for referring me to this video...now I need to find your stretchy flat tutorial hahahaha.
Here’s my diy stretchy flat video 😊

flats or prefolds for the pockets? which do you recommend ?
I use both in pockets. I reach for flats before my prefolds thoigh.
Some flats I like are stretchy flats, GMD muslin, nickis muslin, nickis bamboo, diaper rite bamboo, geffen Jersey hemp
What is petite crown by?
That’s the company name! The owners name is Mari
Hi which diaper is bigger a mama koala or alva ?
Definitely Alva!
Jay's Nest 👏❤ thank you
I'm 16, so I have quite a while before I have children, but I am considering cloth diapering when I do have kids. The question I have is, when should you start buying the diapers, so you have enough when the baby is born?
Now is a great time to learn about modern cloth and what it’s about. When you’re ready to try to conceive a baby then start building your stash ❤️
Enjoy the stains 😂😂😂😂
😂😂🙈
😂😂😂 you seriously crack me up! Love you and all your realness!!
