I usually skip the borax. I use pro cure, then put in a jar for an hour, then turn them over for another hour, then take them out and let them dry overnight on paper towels. When you put fish it, it absorbs water and plumps back up. Works better than any other method I have used.

does pro cure roe cure ever expire (the dry stuff in the plastic bottle)...mine's getting clumpy....thx
