People who say you guys are selling out are forgetting that this is the place you're going to be LIVING. Why would you use a product you don't believe in or trust in a place you will likely be spending a good portion of the rest of your life? lol, keep it up gang
Yeah, theres a product in every single component of the build, down to the screws. They have to stand by and believe in every single one of those, regardless of sponsorship.
I came here to make the same comment. These dudes have been over the top on the details on this house. You think they are going to install a backer board that's going to fail and ruin all the other time and effort they put in to save $500? I know it can seem like they are pushing products but at least you can assume it's not crap since they are literally installing it in their own house.
It's sad that anyone would say you're "selling out", especially when you've always been so transparent about the products and tools you use. I, for one, really appreciate your honesty and transparency regarding your channel. And I also appreciate the content, you're very entertaining while still being informative. Please don't change because of a pathetic, but vocal, minority.
Anyone who’s actually building things WANTS product reviews. The problem comes if people watching aren’t satisfied with the product after buying it themselves.
You guys seem like genuine people, and I've never gotten the feeling you were salesmen. Getting free products to try out is a great way for us to be exposed to new staff. Some people need to get a life
That's just what I was getting ready to comment. I've been watching the whole series (not always in real time) and you're right. This is the way I want to learn about new products.
These guys may be legit BUT if you know how humans work, we tend to develop relationships with tv presenters. Once you develop a “trust” in your presenter, they can tell you almost anything and that bond grows stronger over time. It’s why mainstream tv news gave their top presenters entire “shows”. Once you have audience trust, you can sell them anything.
@@aussie2uGA valid point. I guess I'm making the point that guys like this present new materials for us to explore. Not necessarily for us to trust without question.
Man, I’m sitting in the hospital with my daughter. Discovered she had a brain tumor that needed to be surgically removed. I legit was WAITING for a video from you guys. A solid pick me up, got me feeling better for sure! Keep crushing it guys, yall reach people more than I think you know 💯
Jordan, you don’t have to explain or try and justify anything to anyone. We know full well that to do UA-cam videos you have to have sponsors and all that. The bottom line is you guys to quality work and me myself I’ve learned a lot from all at studpack over the years. Keep rocking Jordan, Paul and Rad. 👍
All I can say is this: I know Paul and Jordan personally. I have worked with them all over Baton Rouge when they lived here. I've built cabinets for them, counters for them, borrowed tools, loaned tools to them, even travelled with them for a full and complete day to do work in New Orleans in a historic building that was not put on the channel. This is a stand up family. ALL OF THEM. If they are showing or talking about a product, it is because they USE it, love it, and want to show the viewers innovative products that are cool, reliable, and fun. They are the furthest thing from a shill that you will ever find. We all know that like Jordan said, the economy is TIGHT now. 4 years ago, it was a completely different story. I'll leave that right there. I would bet dollars to donuts that if anyone here had the opportunity to upgrade their materials, get materials and products for free or reduced cost, or try something out that hadn't been seen before, just for talking about it, they would do it in a heartbeat, and be stupid if they didn't. What people forget is that this will be Jordan's HOME. It's not some set in a studio, it's not something they are building for someone else. There is absolutely no way Jordan and Paul would put an inferior product in his house just because they got a discount on it. High End Building takes high end dollars. None of are rich if you're in the trade and doing the work. The ends have to meet in the middle before the tank is empty. To Paul and Jordan, Keep doing what you're doing. Those of us that know, already know. I'm proud to call you both friends, and enjoy everything that you do. I know there are tons of other people (over 612,000 of them actually) that feel the same way. Laissez Le Bons Temps Rouler! Oui, Cher! (Let the good times roll! Yeah, baby!)
Awesome comment. I'm a newer contractor and this channel has helped me a lot with learning about old techniques, new products, and just the little details of being diligent tradesman. ABC (always be cleaning!!) is my little mantra throughout the day. Doesn't take a lot to see that these are good guys and what we got on our little screens is what I expect you got in your time in BR. Cheers guys
Not sure what you're talking about, 4 years ago, building products were at an all-time high, $58 for a 4x8 sheet of 15/32 osb, It's under $15 right now. Dimensional lumber was 4x higher than now. Jordan referenced this in a stud pack video back then when He showed a pile of cuts off 2x4s and called it a pile of gold. It was the absolute worst time to build or remodel a house. Also, a trade war started by the president 4 years ago drove up prices on everything imported from china, which is almost everything.
Honestly, I was shocked when you all went with the Triton system on the shower and not Schluter. Schluter is so pushed on UA-cam that you would think that nothing else exists. As well as using hard pack for the shower pan. I love seeing something different and I am sure everyone else does as well. f* the jealous haters. Your content is great and thank you!
Yeah, I learned a ton from this shower install. I’ve used schluter, ditra, and self-leveler, but this combo was very interesting and it’s good to know that schluter isn’t the only option when it comes to membranes. I loved that triton faucet waterproofing from the other video, also
It's amazing how much jealousy drives peoples comments. You've worked hard to get to the point where companies will invest in you to promote their products, keep going for it! Transparency is appreciated and shows integrity.
The fact you showcase and trial new and innovative products (given or not) is very helpful to many people who haven’t been exposed to or may not know of all product options. 90 percent of critics are too dumb to know their level of ignorance on a given product topic.
well i for one have always appreciated your lack of selling out (like many other Build channels) and paying the price or using discounted and appreciate you getting out in front of it. Honesty is the best policy.
This was a GREAT hack! And the fact he did that freehand and it met up with the start was truly magical. That's what you get with all those years of experience. 😄👍
To be honest i was never worried about you guys selling out. I think most of your followers are neither idiots nor jaded/jealous...so keep doing your thing. This is a really wholesome and value-adding channel. Watching your updates at lunch on the weekend is one of the things that brings me peace and that's pretty cool. Keep it up guys
Top tip my tile pro told me is to add a second sensor into the floor but don’t hook it up. He said he’s seen the sensors go bad and if you had a second already embedded in the floor then you can hook it up without having to remove floor tiles. For $19 it was really cheap insurance on my floor
As a mom was 3 kids who watches your videos but is also the person who does the diy stuff in my house I love that you show the how but I also know Jordan has done the research about products. But you also don’t just use products I could never afford. Sure the fan was a sludge but Texas in the summer… you need that fan! Also you make videos me a 40 y/o , my 14 year old and my two 5 year old kiddos enjoy watching. Thanks guys!
You owe no one any explanation, for those of us who have been watching for years know that you have integrity and would not be honest in your opinion of a product. If you didn’t care for a free item you’d give it a fair but honest evaluation. This is Jordan’s home so it’s very important that all items selected are quality ones. I look forward to every video and it’s a welcome sight once I get my notification. Nice progress so far, you three are killing it!
You don’t owe anyone an explanation concerning the build on your home, projects or the products you use. If someone doesn’t like it, then they can watch another UA-cam builder. Thanks for sharing your experience & expertise! Great jobs guys!
i will say it, your integrity speaks for itself, you are always up front about what and how you do things. You even go to the point that you point out your own mistakes and show how to fix them. Great Job! Keep on Keepin' on!!
I would say stop worrying about what the trolls are saying. You're running a business. As long as you know you're doing it in an ethical way, you're good.
I put heated floors in my main bathroom when it was redone along with many other “luxuries” as the house was upgraded. The only reason it was possible to do was because we did the work ourselves. When you’re not paying labor you can upgrade your materials.
Jordan, you really shouldn't have to explain nor answer those that feel they can be your PR team and say you're selling out etc. Some people dont understand youre NOT an actor on some big tv show. You're a content creator, on a platform that doesn't really pay all that much with the amount of work that goes into production, trying to just live. Some stuff is free and most you're paying for. Even if one day your idea gets picked up and you "sell out", then good for you guys. Put in the time and money on your own to get to where you are. Look forward to your videos every week and you guys have come a long way. You guys are the modern day 'This Old House"
Jordan - Don’t know if this helps but here is a quote by RA Heinlein “Some people insist that 'mediocre' is better than 'best.' They delight in clipping wings because they themselves can't fly. They despise brains because they have none.” Love you guys because you are triple E - Earnest, Entertaining and Educational!
I love your videos guys; great and honest content. Some people are unhappy and they spread out negativity with comments. At the end of the day it is up to people if buying stuff your promotes or not. Happy for you on your first house... Cheers😊
I feel people who are saying things about selling out, aren't watching the entire video! I love these videos from beginning to end. My Aunt installed heated floors in part of her home, and in the cold northern winters, it feels AMAZING to walk around on without shoes on. So comfortable. I don't blame you at all for wanting to install a heated floor, it's on my bucket list of things I want in my future home.
When we built our workshop 20(cough) years ago, we put in a boiler and a heated slab… that’s the only way to do things when it hits -40. You can run things a little cooler overall, but that warm-to-your-toes thermal mass keeps everything cozy.
The only sponsored placement I had a real issue with was the overly expensive hose bib. One can get a frost-free hose bib like a Woodford that's brass and will hold up to a lot of abuse from about $40. They used to be cheaper, but - inflation. I also think that bathroom fan will depressurize your house, but that's not an issue with the product, but how it's used, and in what kind of house. What was really good about today's video was that you had a comparison of two systems, the installation involved, and the tradeoffs. What i got out of this was that for what you were doing, the Schluter system would have been more time efficient if you had been getting paid for installation, but that for a flat rectangular area, the mesh attached cable would have worked well. While it wasn't completely explicit, that's what I got out of what Paul said towards the end. If the episodes using reduced price products were more upfront about the price point and what makes the product worth the extra cost, I would find that to be much more valuable. Some products cost more, but may be easier to install, may last longer, or may have better support from the vendor. Information like that helps your viewers to make their own decisions based on their circumstances. It would be even better if there was a followup after using a product for a year or two to see if you still would have made the same decision at usual contractor pricing for your house or a house that you are building for someone else, and why. How you would pitch that product as part of an estimate, and why someone should go with your higher bid that includes a superior product. Yes, we come for Paul's wide knowledge on how to install things, but how you pick the products is also important.
the people saying that you're selling out are just JEALOUS. I've found your channel from the shop build and watched every single other video you've made and never once have I thought that you're selling out. When companies provide you free/discounted stuff it's a business decision for them and for you. It's a no brainer. You also make it very apparent that you've tried said products and do truly believe in them and I believe you. I bought a water drop filter after seeing your video and it's life changing. If it weren't I'd have sent y'all an email about it for your opinion. You consistently say that viewers love that you show your mistakes and fix them and I have no doubt that if something you bought were to break we would be the first to know. Don't let the haters get to you. It's clear when people are paid for their opinions and when they are not and you guys are 100% genuine. The issue with putting yourself on the internet is that there will always be the 1% that feels some type of way about what you're doing and how you're doing it. Those like myself that love you guys and believe in you will always will. Keep up the great work guys. Your "Packer's" are for life.
How dare you sell out by… doing your literal career. You’re not just builders/contractors, you’re entertainers. You’ve provided me with countless hours of entertaining videos and neat tricks while also doing great work for others and now yourself. I definitely think you’ve been clear when you are sponsored and don’t have anything to apologize for. Keep doing your thing and I will keep watching. Some people just like to complain about things. If you didn’t talk about the brand or product they would probably complain about not being able to replicate it because you don’t share that. As long as you continue to be honest and transparent about what is and isn’t sponsored you’re golden.
In all the years I’ve watched I’ve never thought you were selling out. Reviews and comments on the product used have always been helpful and truthful. Some really good products just need a bit of help and some actual reviews of them in the field to help them get started. Keep up the good work and show us what’s available that we might otherwise miss.
I can't wait to see you guys get to 1 million subs, but I don't think people realize that even at 1,000,000 subscribers, you're still not getting rich off UA-cam. It takes AdSense, Merch, sponsors, and much more to build a channel that can support your lives. You guys are the best and my entire family looks forward to each new video.
Haters will hate. I’ve learned that you have to do what you feel is good for you and the ones you love. You can’t listen to negative people. Your channel is awesome and informative. I have learned so much and I’m very grateful.
Seriously, what a bunch of sellouts, always pushing their great videos with awesome building content, and excellent advice. Unbelievable... Seriously, though, I love you guys, let the haters hate, they're only jealous of your success. Your videos are always a highlight of my week, and I'll drop almost anything I'm currently doing when I see a new one drop. Keep bringing in the new content, the folks who know you for your honesty will keep coming back for it. Mad love and respect, Jordan, Paul and Rad!
It’s not selling out. Y’all have worked hard on this channel and with that opportunities have arisen that you’ve been able to take advantage of. Hard sown seeds reap rewards.
The fact that you had to address comments from stupid people is wild. True fans know you guys are legitimately the real deal and we'll stand by you until the end of time!
Keep doing what you are doing! You three are a fine example of craftsmen, gentlemen, confident, leaders, manly men and fun to watch! Don’t give your critics any time or explanation……it won’t change them. Just keep on keeping on!
Ignore the 0.01 pct. that have to complain about others' success. I've been subscribed since you were under 20K subscribers and am amazed at how far you guys have come. Bravo!
Screw the haters, you guys rock!! Hands down one of the most REAL channels there is on here and I hope to watch countless more videos from you Gents! Stud Pack for Life 😎
612,000 people love you guys, what you do, who you are and your transparence in products used. 612,000 of us also can't believe Paul eye balled and routed a groove with the router!😱
well, I stand behind you guys! keep on truck in Jordon you and your dad and now brad are awesome I'm going to come out to see you all in the further love your vids and enjoy watching great men working well together
Reading many of these comments, I'm very thankful that the folks that are a part of the Stud Pack community are hardworking rock stars that know the amount of effort that goes into these kinds of builds. I remember watching my first Stud Pack video about that suicide cord. Wisdom and integrity right there! The care and respect you have for your fans is certainly felt here guys!! Carry on!! 🙏
I can’t imagine any reason I would criticize anything you’re doing. I think your house is going to be wonderful. And holy cow…what a wonderful achievement this is for the three of you. Your sense of accomplishment is probably over the roof already. Imagine what it will be when you’re done! At this point criticism should fall on deaf ears. You’re inspiring so many people to find the joy in doing better. Thanks for all of this.
Had to pause the video to come and comment. Crazy to think people are saying that. You guys are producing the best free home Improvement content on UA-cam ever! Even if you were getting free stuff to make the videos, I don’t care. Every episode I learn something new and y’all should be compensated for that. This is some of the best schooling around. Keep up the work you guys are crushing it!
To hear the frustration in Jordan's voice and look on his face about the comments that people are leaving is heartbreaking. You guys have done such great work not only on this project, but all the projects you have on your channel. As a DIYer, I absolutely the products that you not only introduce but also educate the viewers about. I know that you don't just get any material and promote it without doing your research behind the product. Keep up the great content. I look forward to the many new, innovative and trusted materials you guys bring to the public.
I appreciate the honesty and transparency just because the 0.1% were complaining. Being an engineer myself, I have had to tell my customer when I screw up, and they are more than willing to be understanding when you are fully transparent because it is about trust. You have stated why you like the product you are using and why and I appreciate it, even if I may not use these products shown in your videos, it's the honesty and transparency that I respect. Also, you show when you screw up and how to fix it, and you don't try to cover it up. That is why I subscribed to your channel a while back and why it's one of the few channels I look forward to watching so I can learn a thing or five from y'all. That being said, I have not embraced nor jumped on the radiant floor system bandwagon because I like to take the long-term view, and think about things I will have to fix or replace. One of these is the radiant floor system because at one point in the future, it will fail, and how do you plan to have that fixed or replaced? Don't get me wrong, the benefit of having the radiant floor system definitely gives a luxurious makes it all the effort worthwhile. I am just, by nature, a pessimist and want to ensure that what money I put into my home will be beneficial for the long haul.
FWIW, I actually respect you making use of your channel's popularity, which you built up from nothing, to negotiate deals, materials, and sponsorships for products that you stand behind. Part of what I appreciate about this channel project is the "stone soup" aspect of a guy with nothing but his dad and a camera, building up bit by bit in skill and popularity, until you can make an entire house. I assume the 7-2 offsuit tat is a nod to that. Take all the deals you can get if the products are good and you continue to be honest and open about them.
There isn't a channel on UA-cams home space that has the ability to explain a process like Stud Pack. Most channels the host tells you why YOU need this and why YOU should buy that exact product. Stud Pack says "We want to do this, this is what we choose that fits our needs. Here is why we choose this product". So much more informative! This economy is crazy, and product is expensive. Nothing wrong with saving a few dollars for products you're going to use anyway. A dollar saved today helps the next project.
You got me with the title. Sometimes the few bucks you save isn't worth the headaches. However, it is really ridiculous how much they charge for those membranes.
I think it made a difference because it was a DIY job, where the time wasn't important because it wasn't paid labor. If this was a floor-mounted toilet and a floor-standing vanity, it would have been even more time consuming. It was still valuable to see the process to understand where this product makes sense, and where it doesn't. If this wasn't done in the shower, it would have been a great product.
This isn’t “DIY” in that sense of the word. Do you think they’re all working for free off savings? They get paid on completing content and publishing. The more time freed up for editing, the smoother the delivery and income. If you forget that Time is Money, DIY makes it always better. But remember, economically, DIY means time away from other endeavors. And therefore money away from you (because you could have that time/money for yourself).
Anyone who has watched your channel for more than 3 videos total will absolutely know that you (and Paul & Rad!) are absolutely the most genuine people on UA-cam. As you're building your home and earning money via the process, you're literally investing in your future. It's very obvious to anyone paying attention that you would only pick products that you believe in. Sure, getting stuff for free is nice and is certainly helpful, but who would ever want to put junk (especially backbone/hard-to-replace) products into your own home? Love the videos, love you guys, don't stress the .1% :)
Stud Pack + Money = more videos. seems simple to me. People outside the industry don't understand the way things work in construction. I deal with product vendors all the time. Mostly lighting and fire alarm. Regardless of who bought me lunch that week, I don't specify the products I don't believe in.
Stop explaining yourself to haters. You guys do great work, explain what you’re doing and why, and have helped lots of families doing projects ourselves like mine. Don’t even acknowledge those comments.
i dont think ive never commented on a video before but i work for a GC and your videos help me immensely with pro tips and tricks that help me get my job done easier and faster. please dont worry about all the haters. i think the gang is exactly where they need to be and hope you keep up the good work. ty for videos and inspiration.
Just this week: the six gallon bucket trick, rounding off a drywall knife, and heck, pants with built in knee pads… all reasons why your videos are must-watch. Even your sponsored products make for an interesting story. I think everybody knows by now that you can watch a hundred instructional videos on how to install heated floors step by step, but your videos are so compelling because you all are learning and teaching along the way. Keep up the outstanding work and see ya on the next one.
The reason to chase dreams and become professionals is to “make it”… musicians sell out, tech gurus sell out.. go for it. The haters are always going to make noise. They hate you because they ain’t you. Your channel and videos are awesome. I wish you all the success you desire and deserve. Keep it up!!!
Honestly - Even if u guys were "selling out" or even thought u guys were, I would still thoroughly watching you guys, for me its not so much about brands and such but just watching this Father and Son(s) Duo/Trio build something amazing together and learning stuff with you guys along the way!
"Spend the extra 100 bucks" These are the type of learning experiences we all have lol. I could give a university lecture on all the times where i should have spent the extra 100 bucks lol
I think it’s the way y’all talk, very TV show ready . So people assume you are “selling out” or what not. The ones that have been here long enough know how you operate, talk , and your intentions. Keep doing what you’re doing, thank you for continuing to tell us when it’s sponsored VS not. And you have always been honest about the outcome / feedback afterwards. You keep doing what you’re doing. I, like most of us, stand by y’all!
If any of those people saying you are sellouts had ever met you in person they would eat crow. You guys are the most honest crew I have ever met. It was truely a pleasure to chat with you, Paul and Rad at IBS. Thank you for all you do!
Hard to believe you guys have only been doing this for 5 years when this project is a little over a year old. Somehow I feel like I have been watching you guys for 10 or more years. Love the Chanel, love watching you guys do work, keep it up and ignore the haters
Why are their haters out there ! My god , watch these videos just once ! These guys are as honest as the day is long! I wish I could send you all some money to help pay for things! I did subscribe ,and I love watching and learning! Thanks Stud Pack ! Your the best!
haters gona hate. whether its paid for in full, free, or discounted its great seeing all the different and new products being shown so keep up the good work and things are looking great
Two things…. 1.) Don’t let the babies living in their daddy’s basements, eating pizza rolls, drinking red bulls, gaming n watching videos all night, jobless pansies dictate what you decide to do on YOUR house. 2.) the bucket idea is GAME CHANGING!! Have a small remodeling company here in Houston and the bag of leveler definitely needs about another gallon of space! We have watched the channel since the beginning and look forward to each episode, my lil boy and I watch together, love you guys!
Jordan I would say that if others claim you are selling out that tells me you are doing something right and making it happen. I want to see the products you use regardless if you got it for free or not. It's not like most companies just hand out freebies for nothing.. the companies that give you items to use are so they can use you for free advertising. And it is worth the advertising because then they have real people showing off the products instead of paid actors. I say win for everyone involved. Thank you all so much for all the work you do!
I’m a Remodeling General in northern Nevada, I’ve been following you guys since the beginning. Pops is a super smart man! With all my curbed systems I always waterproof 2’ past the curb! I never underestimate the porosity of materials, especially having all tile knowing that’s continuous mortar layer acting as a sponge! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I’ve learned alot from the old man!
7:40 - "Adherence" is a word, but you probably meant "adhesion." Most of the product placements make sense, and you seem honest in your feedback, which I think is very much the opposite of "selling out." I do miss the remodeling videos though - the dream garage build is great, but seeing the insides of different older houses and how they're built is cool AF.
The teamwork between the whole Stud pack team inspired me to renovate my own home for my wife and I, and by extension I have the dream to build us a home at some point because of you guys! Thanks so much for all the inspiration and hard work!!
Jordan.... F those HATERS!!! Lmfao don't let them get to you. Everyone that has been here and joined later in the build is here for you and your content. Don't let trolls get to you. This is what happens when your about to hit a million subs. 😂❤😊
Nice!! You are so gonna love that heated tile. I live in the frozen north in New Hampshire and it is so nice to walk into the bathroom barefoot and have the floor be a toasty 90 degrees!! I used the Schleuter Ditra heat membrane and it was so easy!! Granted my whole bathroom was only 6 foot by 5 foot so it was very affordable and easy to install! That self leveler looked like such a PITA I'm glad I went with the membrane!!
Ok I have been building for 25 years and tiling forth last 10 and this is the first time I have ever seen a shower with A heated floor and B no membrain so I am following this 100%
I've been watching your channel for well over two years now. Paul and Jordan have given me tips and great advice that I have transferred into my own home. I have quite a few problems with my home that need addressed (it was bought at a low price, and for good reason lol), but they are very knowledgeable and open when they make mistakes. I appreciate both of you (Rad too, let's not forget him). You guys give me ideas that I would've never thought of and have taught me more than you know. Thank you.
You know the ole saying "haters gonna hate". if that's all that makes up your 1%? then you're doing good. Thanks for taking the time to show us all Y'alls hard work and for being genuine with everything, from the products to the mistakes(and how you fix them). Shows integrity, and that's something you can't sell.
Man I know I’ve offered advice or suggested things, especially related to foundation/drainage, etc. but it’s always been in support of you guys to be successful. There is no better home improvement show than you guys and better and more knowledgeable, easy to follow craftsman in front of a camera than Paul. As you say, just be open if they are a sponsor and give us honest feedback and the viewers won’t go away. If I could get materials, particularly ones like the Huber products for free, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Also look at any other UA-camr - aside from someone like Project Farm, everybody is sponsored unless the channel is promoting its own business and is essentially self advertising. You guys need to get paid for your time. Don’t sweat, ignore those guys or get some moderation help, and keep on trucking!!
Been following you guys since shortly after you started the channel. You guys are by no stretch of the imagination a sellout, you have the most transparent channel and has been like that from the start. I've learned so many tips and tricks in my DIY journey from this channel and always look forward to checking my feed to see if you guys have a new video to watch. Keep up the great videos and keep blessing me with new things to apply to my own projects!
I appreciate the comments about being up front on your products, however, I never questioned any of it. Nice job on the heated floor and the choices you researched. Thanks, again, guys for a great video! Looking forward to the next one.
Haters going to hate but I legitimately stand by you guys. This is the most genuine and real UA-cam channel. I look forward to the videos every week unlike any other channel I am subscribed to. Keep up the great work guys and don’t worry about what people have to say that is negative.
Those complaining of you promoting for free stuff are just jealous. If you like a product and the company are going to give you it for free why wouldn't you go for it. No one turns down something for free. Your videos remain interested and informative. Keep up the great work.
For working on a new build for the first time you guys are doing great. Hindsight is a wonderful thing when you are learning different ways to tackle a problem but I look forward to being able to rewatch this build whilst you’re working on the main house to see how far you guys have come. Keep up the great content and it doesn’t matter if you get some products for free, thats just the payoff for the 5 years of pumping out such great videos.
Exactly. These critics are probably someone living in their parents basement talking trash because they don't have a life.
Because it's free and you can replace it later.
@@mediocreman2yeah, must be so easy to replace a floor heating system
It's sad that anyone would say you're "selling out", especially when you've always been so transparent about the products and tools you use. I, for one, really appreciate your honesty and transparency regarding your channel. And I also appreciate the content, you're very entertaining while still being informative. Please don't change because of a pathetic, but vocal, minority.
Seems we live in times where vocal minorities have a lot of impact. We won't let that happen here 👊
Make the money ✌🏼✌🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸
Anyone who’s actually building things WANTS product reviews. The problem comes if people watching aren’t satisfied with the product after buying it themselves.
It’s also not like your pushing a product that is “controversial” like a Tesla power wall or something, it’s quite literally caulk.
Keep going this channel is amazing when you get the house finished can you do a light switch and light fixture tour?
You guys seem like genuine people, and I've never gotten the feeling you were salesmen. Getting free products to try out is a great way for us to be exposed to new staff. Some people need to get a life
That's just what I was getting ready to comment. I've been watching the whole series (not always in real time) and you're right. This is the way I want to learn about new products.
Exactly, I don't wanna pay the money to know if a new product is gonna work or not, I'm coming to UA-cam to see hahaha
The 6 gallon bucket blew my mind and made me furious I didn't think about it. Once again Paul proves why he's a GOAT.
One of the best tips he's passed along. Just another reason why I subscribed and watch.
Man, I’m sitting in the hospital with my daughter. Discovered she had a brain tumor that needed to be surgically removed. I legit was WAITING for a video from you guys. A solid pick me up, got me feeling better for sure! Keep crushing it guys, yall reach people more than I think you know 💯
Praying for you and your daughter! 💙💚 Thanks for the support brother!
@@StudPack Appreciate it bro, thanks for the solid content 💪🏽
I’m so sorry for you daughter and your family. Sometimes a little distraction is very helpful.
@@1packatak thank you for that. I definitely agree, I’m trying to find small things that bring me happiness. These videos 100% help!
Man that is awful! I hope your daughter has a speedy recovery!
All I can say is this:
I know Paul and Jordan personally.
To Paul and Jordan,
Keep doing what you're doing.
What a legendary comment Al. We remember that New Orleans Day and the cold McDonalds! What an adventure. Thanks for supporting us 👊🏼
Awesome comment. Cheers guys
I totally support stud pack. You guys deserve the rewards for your labor.
To long didn't read
Also, i dont watch this because im building a house. I watch it because its fun to see a family of skilled craftsmen and entertainers work.
Thanks Brian means a lot!
I see what you did there and I completely agree.
BUCKET TRICK WAS CLEVER! Gonna use that one in the future. Well done as always.
Damn I was so engrossed in all the other cool stuff in the video that I’d already forgotten that! That was a good hack
This was a GREAT hack! And the fact he did that freehand and it met up with the start was truly magical. That's what you get with all those years of experience. 😄👍
I'm dying here as soon as Paul said. No more tears without skipping a beat. I started singing it Right along with you.
Yes, it's Ozzy Osborne.
Same here!
Schluter highly recommends two sensors, and I believe their thermostat comes with two.
sadly, they can and do go bad, even unused/unconnected!
I LOVE that you are highlighting, detailing products. It gives me a sense of what’s available vs not having a clue where to begin.
Well said Jordan! Keep up the good work!! And we'll see you on the next one!
Jordan - Don’t know if this helps but here is a quote by RA Heinlein
“Some people insist that 'mediocre' is better than 'best.' They delight in clipping wings because they themselves can't fly. They despise brains because they have none.”
Love you guys because you are triple E - Earnest, Entertaining and Educational!
I seriously consider these guys to be the most honest guys out there who stand by their product ands values. A true father, son experience.
@28:44 - Some Ozzy baby!
As long as you continue to be honest and transparent about what is and isn’t sponsored you’re golden.
that was a good delivery of the "we aren't selling out" message. Well done.
Don't listen to the haters. Love your channel. It's the highlight of the week, thanks.
Stud Pack for Life 😎
Maybe a studpack/tool calendar. I’m just saying 😇 would look great in my garage 😊
Carry on!! 🙏
Good for you guys saying that out loud! Love the channel, boys!!!
I don’t care if the entire project is free material because I get to learn throughout the process for FREE!! This is my top UA-cam channel!!
Had to pause the video to come and comment. Crazy to think people are saying that. You guys are producing the best free home
Improvement content on UA-cam ever! Even if you were getting free stuff to make the videos, I don’t care. Every episode I learn something new and y’all should be compensated for that. This is some of the best schooling around. Keep up the work you guys are crushing it!
@0:46 Paul looking for the fist bump, Jordan goes high five ... epic father-son 🦃. 😂🤣😂
I look forward to the many new, innovative and trusted materials you guys bring to the public.
the "That's what we should've done lol" on the bottom during the talk-through was perfect lol
I am just, by nature, a pessimist and want to ensure that what money I put into my home will be beneficial for the long haul.
glad to see you've overcome all your issues with youtube :) i missed you guys
I like the fact that you are trying new products and not just using what you always did in the past!
That’s awesome, thanks for leaving a comment and watching the vids Dustin! 👊🏼
Glad to see y'all. Ready for another Stud Pack Video 😎
Make sure and put atleast 2 extra temperature sensors just incase one sensor fail. And run the sensor in separate conduit .
If any of those people saying you are sellouts had ever met you in person they would eat crow. You guys are the most honest crew I have ever met. It was truely a pleasure to chat with you, Paul and Rad at IBS. Thank you for all you do!
Nice job on the camera Rad 🤙❤️
I would have sealed the 2 buckets together with some Big Stretch 😁
Jordan I would say that if others claim you are selling out that tells me you are doing something right and making it happen. I want to see the products you use regardless if you got it for free or not. It's not like most companies just hand out freebies for nothing.. the companies that give you items to use are so they can use you for free advertising. And it is worth the advertising because then they have real people showing off the products instead of paid actors. I say win for everyone involved. Thank you all so much for all the work you do!
9 days without a stud pack video I was starting to have withdrawals
I was too 😂
I’m a Remodeling General in northern Nevada, I’ve been following you guys since the beginning.
7:40 - "Adherence" is a word, but you probably meant "adhesion."
Most of the product placements make sense, and you seem honest in your feedback, which I think is very much the opposite of "selling out."
I do miss the remodeling videos though - the dream garage build is great, but seeing the insides of different older houses and how they're built is cool AF.
You rad and your dad are an awesome family and team.
You don't have to explain. You all deserve everything! Don't feed into the people that are not able to get where you are. Well done.
Why don't you guys have a Patreon? I'm sure many people would love to donate
We have Super Thanks on our channel now but, we’re just super grateful for everyone watching our videos already.
'No more tears' was an Ozzy Osbourne song
nailed it
Ok I have been building for 25 years and tiling forth last 10 and this is the first time I have ever seen a shower with A heated floor and B no membrain so I am following this 100%
Clearly youre not very good. Lol They've had shower pan heat for decades.
The yellow mat he put on top is the membrane.
Whenever you see a new studpack video you stop whatever your doing and watch it
I've been watching your channel for well over two years now. Thank you.
Love your content
Thanks Daniel! 💪
Ayyy
ayyyyyy
Yeah that makes NO sense. Pushing crappy product you're installing in your own DREAM house; Small-Brained people.
