The Dark Artifices are my favorite Shadowhunters books as well, mainly because of Ty, i have autism too so when i read about him and how he behaves, how he's portrayed, i felt seen, i felt represented, and he became my favorite character ever since

Cordelia is actually not Emma’s direct ancestor. Somehow her father was descended from Alistair. I’ve seen a bunch of people theorize that something happens to Sona and Alistair raises his and Cordelia’s little sibling. Or it’s possible he could adopt. However it works, Cordelia is the ancestor of Jace and Stephen and that branch of Herondales, and Alistair is the ancestor of the LA Carstairs.
