Is there an option without the mesh in the hood scoop? The mesh looks awful with all the waves in it. I thought it was just the blue one but the orange vb hood also has the same issues. Other than that the hoods look amazing!

I’m having issues installing the tanso carbon fiber hood on 2018+ sti. Did anyone else have issues with this? I cannot find a single installation video for this part

The carbon hood is heavier than the stock. I bought a carbon fiber hood scoop. It looks good.
It will probably be more dent resistant however. The thin aluminum of the oem hood won’t stand up well to rocks and general shit-happens

You can always remove them if desired!

Seibon requires hood pins. Personally I have been running without one for years.

What is the weight difference between the stock hood and this hood?
The difference is pretty marginal. Stock hoods are light from the beginning - didn't get a measure but should be less than 5lb difference.
...kinda scary seeing a $1300 hood being carried by the freight guys with the bottom falling out of it. *bites nails

Engine can be washed too. Just don’t let it be under rain for extended time
