Now that I'm 30 it's really crazy to think when I was using the internet back in the day off of dial up; youtube didn't exist, neither did twitter, google, amazon, ebay or any of the popular sites we used today. It was about whatever you seen in the magazine until the internet got more popular in like 1999 and people starting making more websites to share info
Coming from the Netherlands, i grew up with Nike Air Max shoes and especially the OG Colorways. These were the kicks everyone wanted back in primary school. If you had Infrareds, Laser Blues, Concords or the Spruces you were the man! Never has anyone called them Air Max 3's tho over here, these are 90s all the way so learning about different tech on the 3's and 90's is new for me. Always nice to learn something new about a pair of kicks that have been embedded in Dutch sneakerculture for over 30 years.
The way they revamped the 90s from before, makes one want to get all of the colors. These are very comfortable and the shape is much better than previous retros.
This is a must-add! Hopefully, I can snag them at a reduced price like some other colorways. I love the AM3s/AM90s and these will be another beautiful addition to the collection.
Picked up a pair Half price today ,,apparently an Australian runner named steve moneghetti wore them back in the day ,,there is a picture of him "training " ,,,anyways awesome reviews and thanks heaps for the info ,,,and I strongly agree with bringing back info leaflets with shoes

I'm surprised to see them still sitting on SNKRS but I bet with that Nightwing push they'll be sold out by the end of the day.

But one of my favorite type of shoes and yes this was 1990s gems. SLAM was awesome .. On and Off Courts It was almost on the border of preppy but it was too comfortable and too awesome
The infrared 90s that released late 2020 were called air max iii radiant red, and those had the recrafted build + forefoot air as well. Everything that's labelled air max iii is recrafted.

I love the way the shoe fits on my foot and the overall look of them is just timeless. That shoe is interesting...never knew it was an original colorway either. I love the Nike International logo...miss it actually. I’m so happy i bought that Nike: Better is Temporary book....it’s so dope!! Shoe Dog filled in a lot of gaps in Nike’s history for me too....especially why they have 3 hubs and where they are.
I jumped in these as they dropped, the original lines the feel of them, that, box, that hang tag, that hang tag! Oh man they are so nice, compared to the recraft they actual fit in their box also. I'm in Australia and it's in our national colours so I'm over the zoom, I mean moon about them.

Dude, once you take a few steps in an Air Max III (not AM 90), the $140 price tag hurts WAY less. I got the infrared colorway a month or so ago or whenever it dropped. When they originally released in the early 90's...they were known on the streets of Chicago as Cherry Bombs for whatever reason. It's the most comfortable sneaker I own by a million miles. I would buy every colorway of the Air Max 3. They need to drop more of these. 🤙🤙🤙
I’ve just bought a pair of recraft 90, the DENHAM’s ones (what an underrated sneakers my god), and I was like W T F this outsole is so soft and comfy!!! Sincerely I don’t think 90’s were like that in the past, at this time all Nike Air were stiff AF.... But..... I was 10 years old and now 40, 1m81 for 80kg so obviously my feeling isn’t the same about outsole stiffness... 🤷♂️

What sizing would you recommend? I am 8.5 on some shoes and 9 on other nike ones? I know asking someone else for my shoe size is weird, but I've been wanting to try them.
They aren't spec for spec the same though. The air unit is not the same as the original - the originals had a netural/white air unit. Anybody know why they did this? Was it an attempt to do a hybrid between the OG and the JDsports or did they just mess up?

Air max iii is a different model from max 90 or 90 recraft version:) Air max iii is more comfortable than the other 90s as it has forefoot airbag.

I live in the uk and I remember those from back in the day. They did black and white ones too which looked awesome.
Eastbay is for old sneakerheads like us. The first shoe that made me one was the Bo Jackson trainers. I also loved the Barry Sanders turf shoes.
When it came to turf shoes, I LOVED the Jordan Mossified. Those are probably never coming back and it makes me sad.

If you're 8.5 on AF1's I'd say you're a 9 in these - that's how it's worked out for me.
