@@ahumandoing6813 They are cheap, blocky, heavy pistols you can get for as little as $100-200. They have many problems including poor quality sights, bad triggers (even more being single action firearms), problems finding holsters outside of what the company offers that actually can fit those pistols, they are difficult to disassemble since you need at least a hammer and the included tool to strip them, reliability problems partly attributed to crude/rough finishes that can be somewhat alleviated by working the slide a couple thousand times and shooting them. I recommend you watch Paul Harrell's presentation on "High Point .45cal. pistol: Worth the price?
" for a very good analysis on hi points. They're not terribly, disgustingly bad, but they're definitely cheap pistols and not worth it on the long run, specially if you can afford saving up to buy a better handgun. I don't particularly like glocks, but they are reliable, simple to operate, durable handguns that are very good options for beginners and experts alike, and they are affordable and a good bang for your buck. In short, they're well rounded hanguns you can trust your life on while not needing to spend too much money.

I did 3 tours in Iraq as a Bradley mechanic and as a recovery operator. I have seen Hummv's shredded by nuts and bolts that were placed around IED's to make them act as claymore mines. The Hummv's had just been upgraded with new bolt on panels to go over their already in place armor package. And still they were just shot clean through by the nuts bolts and shrapnel from the IED's the only thing that wasn't penetrated was the ballistic glass. I personally have only seen 1 Hummv with its glass penetrated and that was from a RPG 7 that burned through the back of the truck one of its pillars by the TC and then through the front glass. I definitely never felt safe in Hummv's in Iraq any time I had to convoy between FOB's in them. And I seriously felt bad for the guys who were riding in them every day and night over there. To me the Hummv is a coffin on wheels. But that's just my opinion and me recovering and seeing first hand the effects of IED's on the Hummv's. But also I already knew the Hummv's glass would stop a 50 cal as we used to put cracked glass panels outside the front gate and the scouts would test fire their 50's and crew served weapons into them before starting their missions.

It stopped but it would have still been deadly for ppl in the humvee.the pressure would rip your organs apart or break your inner weaker bones (in your ear for example) so you wouldnt be able to hear or balance your body....and i could imagine getting killed like that is way worse than getting instantly killed with a BMG...less suffering id say

When I got to Iraq, we didn't have armored trucks. We put sand bags on the floor and hung vests on the sides to help stop shrapnel. Lives were lost.
When we got the newer armored Humvees, these windows, at first sucked. We had no air flow. The first time I got hit with an IDE in one of these new truck, I didn't care about the airflow anymore. I still have the chuck of shrapnel that I dug out of the glass at eye level.
These windows saved lives.
I remember doing that in 2003. I had to cargo strap my MK19 to the ISU60 on the back of my 5ton. ....fun?

@@keencolios591 The bullet is moving around 3,000 kph or faster, adding 20 isn't going to change much. Considering the weight of the windshield and that it didn't move back very much, I don't think securing it would make a very big difference either.

Btw, Matt. That spongey layer is resin. Windshields have two layers of glass, bonded together with resin. It helps to keep shards of glass from flying everywhere. You might get cut up a bit by tiny pieces of glass when it does break, but you won’t be getting shanked by a 2 inch sliver of glass. When that glass is bullet proof glass it makes for some pretty strong substrate. It took an armor piercing .50 BMG to penetrate it. That’s impressive. I just love watching you destroy shit tho. Easily my favorite UA-cam subscription. 🤙🏼

First lead bullet is more common for snipers, it has better ballistic and stability for long ranges. Rifle barrel gets more stress from anti-armor round, because gas pressure is higher.
We had shot one that had cracked and had to be replaced in Afghanistan back in '06 with our Barrett for science. Stopped the 50 cold. Twice.
