Ive shot a 9mm hi point carbine and was pretty impressed with the ergonomics given how it looks and the size. Basically zero recoil and probably one of the most accurate ways to shoot 9mm. It did have problems jamming though, some mags worked better than others. My hi point handguns have more reliable mags than the carbine i used did.
Alexa they are a fraction of the price of other guns that do the same thing. And most of the time, they are very reliable. I have a cheapo .380 acp hi point pistol that i got for 80 bucks at a pawn shop, beat up as shit, and it has never failed me. Its quite comfortable to shoot too, and accurate.
I Know everyone busts on Hi Point but i got a 45Cal version and that thing runs awesome!

I bought one of those Hi Points in 9mm several years ago. I got a tax refund for like $320 that year and went to the gun store and said "what can I buy for $320?" When the guy said "Hi Point" I laughed out loud, but he said they had sold quite a few of their carbines and never heard of any issues. Mine has done fine as long as I make sure the action has been well lubricated.
My hi point 9 has been great.

The Hi-Point carbines have had pretty good reviews since they came out, unlike the pistols. The biggest drawback these days is that they're still just single-stack magazines.

The Redball mags are ugly are only 20rd capacity. I never though I would and am sheepish about admitting it, but last summer I bought the HiPoint 10mm carbine and it is awesome! I just got the black one, it reminds me of the Planet of Apes rifles from when I was allittle kid. 👍🏻😆

Just as reliable as the pistols are, since it is pretty much a pistol inside a housing with a long barrel.
@@lungeranon7645 the 45 can be really easily converted for .45 1911 magazines and redball make 15rd mags for the 9, .40 and there's a 12 I think for the .45. The mag catch conversion allows you to run the 1911 drum mags in the .45 as well which rocks
The bullpup conversion that HTA produce have a hicap as well IIRC.
The anxiety WD gives me when holding a firearm around people and not inanimate objects is horrible

You literally see Matt and the camera guy jump back away from him when he starts blasting the 50 cal

I used to have one of those carbines. Never misfired, jammed, or misbehaved and I'm fairly certain I ran over 5k loads through mine before I finally sold it. Hi Point is ugly as balls but if you want weaponry on a budget, don't doubt Hi Point.
I bought one brand new a couple years ago and it had a malfunction right out of the box and has never ran a complete mag without a failure to feed or some type of malfunction with feeding or ejecting.
I wanted to like it even after hearing all of the horror stories but that thing lived up to every negative stereotype that I ever heard about it.

No, just the factory mags. Technically we can't even own the aftermarket mags in my state. Anything more than 10 rounds is illegal and in some cases any equipment that is not original and isn't necessary for the safe operation of the gun is illegal. Even things like aftermarket stocks in some cases are illegal.

The adjustable sights are very nice. I wish I could mount a red-dot without doubling the price of the gun 😂. One day when I get the money I'm going to get the slide milled to look tactical.
