You, my friend, are an 'urbanrailer'! I coined the term in 2014 to describe those of us who love trains in general but specifically subways, light rail, trolleys, buses and commuter rail roads; the whole urban transit system scene! I've loved riding the subway since I was a child seven decades + years ago. I loved the Lionel trains I got for Christmas but outside my Bronx tenement window was the real, live train set: the IRT lines! I would get so excited when we went to visit my sister in Brooklyn; the IND, city built and run system was so different from the IRT and BMT trains! I've 'visited' urban railway systems across the country and around the world thanks to the internet and specifically UA-cam and people like you who record and document these compact rail roads that are the life blood of our city! I lived in Corona for 63 years but now live in Woodside! Love my new neighborhood and still love riding the subway! The #7 is dear to my heart; I think it's one of the best lines in the City!
DJH you filmed this video 2 months before my little brother was born. And I was 4 at the time. I used to ride 7 trains all the time. I have a kind of faint memory going on a r188 and looking out the window and walking around in the train car. Oh, the memories🥹
