Shot 1/12/17 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Here we see the start of peak direction express service towards Flushing (10:00), and though rush hour service does not ramp up until around 4 pm, the intervals are still fairly close together. Additionally, express trains are travelling in excess of 45 MPH through 90th Street, which makes for very good video captures. 103rd - Corona is the next stop on my list of places to go [for the ramp action], along with Morrison Av - Soundview on the 6, so stay tuned and enjoy the action =)

Check him out!
I wish this video wasn't so long. The #7 express is always one of my favorites to watch. They truly one a kind when it comes to speed and agility.
I love the r188 subway car great video
Good footage you got there, brodie. But one funny thing I find about the R142A/R188s is the fact that the trains' ends looks like vests to me XD XD XD
I LOVE SUBWAY TRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aiden Abril So do I.
Ariel Gonzalez so do I , I made a MTA service in Minecraft
The Legend Sheep Nice.
Ariel Gonzalez Thanks
The Legend Sheep u welcome.
As much as I miss the R62As on the Flushing Line, I think I miss the signals more. Before CBTC, the Flushing Line was the last stronghold of antique signals (notable the large round ones with the big lenses).
The same signals that did not work very well
Normally it's pretty rare that express trains run that fast through a local station immediately preceding an express station due to timers. However, since the approach into Junction Boulevard is uphill in the Flushing bound direction, that helps slow the trains down, so it appears they didn't install them here.
Collin Parsons ooo

Those 7 expresses hustle, they mean business!!
Ok I'd like to start this off by saying : That is THE CLEANEST r188 I've EVER seen.
The 2nd Exp train made those lights turn red in 5 seconds each
The struggle is real at 3:00
Dominator are you talking about the guy with the trash bags?
Adam Makboul yes
How did I now notice that the 7 line is the only line in the MTA that has 11 cars for service?
I Love trains so I Love your videos
Great vid. 2 question
1. need more vids of just express trains love it (above ground or under doesn't matter)
2. Is 90th street the fastest speed and that is why you picked that station?
yes
NO. Express 7 trains go fastest at the 103'rd street station towards Flushing. It has to be the tip of the station(the front).
Hardly. Unless you have a T/O who knows how to take the curve running up the ramp, the stretch through 90th Street will be slightly faster. A good number of T/Os will have already shut off power / started applying brakes by the time the train is passing the east end of 103rd Street.
Well, whatever. The fastest operator isn't even at 90'th street. It's at 46th street, at the curve.

... The train @ 46th Street in the video you linked has a calculated speed is 43.5 MPH. The train @ 31:40 in this video has the same exact calculated speed, so your claim is patently false.
Busy day for filming then.good work.
Morrison Ave Soundview would be great if u get there. Double downhill off the bridge into Elder Ave and after. Must be full speed for 6 express trains towards Pelham Bay Park!
Yea, I've been meaning to hit that station up. I will do so probably this week on Wednesday.
I think the 7 express is more faster than the 6 because the 6 has more curves than the 7. The 7 could hit up to around 50 MPH between Juntion and 61st because after leaving 61st the 7 train ramps down and goes fast in a straight line
so they run 11 cars instead of 10
jesse Watson Yes.
Because theres alot of passenengers near the 7 line
Yes
Do your research on the 7
I want to ride on a subway 🚊 someday.
The 7 is 99% with R188s. But there is 2 Sets of R62As on the 7 left. Maybe they ended the R188 contract early because they woman at least 4 Sets of R142As on the 6 still. Does the R142A, R188 and R143 use the same motor as the Type 8 green line in Boston because they sound the same.
Yes the motor s are same
The video looks like it was recorded in a very realistic game
U mean, 34 minutes of R188 7 local train.
Isn't it odd that the CBTC signage is in place yet throughout this video, it wasn't in use? What are the conditions under which they switch to CBTC, if not during peak Rush Hour?
I don't think it was fully implemented and certified for operation at that time.
I was on the 7 train Thursday 1-19 and saw just one set led by R62A 1960 during the PM rush hour. Is this the last set? At Corona I saw just a few single cars and a 5 car set.
There are two left assigned to the yard, but they only come out for service if they're needed.
When are you going to do another R188 roundtrip?
My old home🤣👍🏾👌🏾🙏🏾💯
title *1 hour of railfanning*
me: i think thats 34 minute-
... shot over the course of 1 hour.
Que hermosos recuerdos tengo de este extraordinario paiz y sus transportes tan organizados.....Dios bendiga a los Estados Unidos de Norte America.....
Hey fan failer when is your next train vid?
At 15:40
you probably get this question a lot but what camera set up did you use, that zoom was amazing
did you seen any 7 express trains
Does this station represent the highest elevated stop on the#7?
No 61st Street Woodside is the only station on the 7 line thats high because the LIRR passes underneath it Queensboro plaza wouldn't really count because its a bi level station
R62As are now scarce on 7 now
Nice graphics
Paradox Kris that's not graphic you mean resolution.
I miss the old R32 cars the red birds on the 7 line they were much more room on them then these r62 cars you couldn't even get in the subway car when it's crowded
This look like a game lowkey
I wonder why the NYC TA keeps purchasing new cars that are that stainless steel color. It seems to me that they get stained fairly quickly, and begin to look rusty after a couple of years. Seems like the trains in Europe have bright colors, look new for a long time.
I heard the R142/R142A's were originally going to be red (like the RedBird) unless that was a lie, or a very early idea.
Godly 7 train
No more R62As...
only 1 during the rush hour
I hear a horn at 1:18
I think it's a car horn
In the beginning
Someone Please Help,,,,
